sunshine, healthy water, a healthy gut microbiome( lots of beans, nuts, seeds, fruits, veggies, dairy) exercise, yoga for stress relief. this will get you glowing.
I’m so glad I found this channel! I’ve been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus. Been dealing with hair loss on the top of my head for 23 years! This was a great podcast
Awesome video! I eat green everyday as well. Salad & 1 smoothie daily. I take vitamin D3 & Iron supplements along with other vitamins daily. I purchase from the health food store near me.
Thank you so much!!! This interview has been such a blessing and the prayer at the end 🙏 was amazing. I felt it so much, i almost cried 😢 in the end. I have been asking the Lord to help me to be disciplined in every area of my life. Like you explained, hair loss is just a symtom. Once we manage our stress, value our bodies and take care of it, then then our hair will follow. I will continue to trust God to see the reversal of my hair loss.
I literally found this channel a few days ago. There's so much here that I need to watch. However, first things first - get my nutrition under control. Changing my mindset has been difficult over the years bc I've lost hope that my hair will ever grow back. Watching this video has inspired me. Prayer & especially self-care should be a priority for me. I'll get there now that I have found this channel. Thank you!
Omg I typed in some words for my hair I was looking for products . I came across your video and clicked on it. I have scarring alopecia. And I have never been able to find content on my condition. When you said you have scarring alopecia I paused the video I liked and subscribed and then I wrote this message. I am literally in tears because God has allowed me to cross your path. I am struggling with this condition. I feel like I’m the only one in the world who has it 😢. Thank you for sharing. And now I’m going back to the video to watch in its entirety. I live in Detroit, Michigan
@dawngarrison5199 thank you for sharing your journey. You are not alone. There are so many of us dealing with this and I believe we are all here to support one another and God is with us. Thank you for joining our community! 💛
@@nourishyourcrownI am so thaking God for both of you sharing your hair journey with us. I pray my thick crown regrow. I am increasing my water. I am now using Vitamins D, iron, C, zinc, and also practicing massages with castor oil, rosemary oil and vitamin E oil. I will increase my water intake and eat more green salads. I need to increase my intake of protein on a daily basic. I will try to excercise routinely and maintain a balance in my overall health. But I know it will take lof of effort but I am in for the the long haul. I am studying full-time and that stress added to my hair loss. I wish all your viewers successes with their hair loss..
Went to a detmatologist and she said notjing about alopecia. Just recommended some medication, hair shampoo, and something for itching. So I am anxious to learn from the video.
As soon as she was talking about food, I knew she was a fellow plant based woman. I’ve always had thick, healthy hair and scalp. Eat a plant based anti inflammatory diet but 9 months I had emergency surgery and was unable to eat anything for 2 weeks and then for another month no veggies. I lost like 40 lbs and then 4 months later fistfuls of her loss. I’m down about 40% of my hair. After washing my hair I’d fill my small bathroom basket with my hair. I started taking vitamins, and using red light therapy I already drink 10-12 glasses of water a day and exercise daily. I’m praying that the shedding slows and my hair grows back.
It's not hair related, but im going thru something and the other day. I was minding my business, and GOD said something loud and clear. I was like, OK!
This was phenomenal I sit and listen to every word! I just happen to pounce upon your channel in search of growing back my edges with hair retention and volume. I have taken away a lot of gems from this interview and the fact that you both put God at the center of it all and reminding us of how important it is to take care of our bodies which will produce healthy hair, touch my heart and that prayer at the end was the icing on the cake 💃👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you so much! @nourishyourcrown you have a new subscriber 🎉
I stumbled upon this interview in a desperate search on my hair loss issues. This was so encouraging and has given me direction on what to do. THANK YOU❤
Lynn, you have such a beautiful smile, and your hair looks look very good on you. You have encouraged me to see a dermatologist. Thanks so much for having Karen on your channel she is a great resource of valuable information and spiritual truth.❤
You are so kind @lindasmith6668, thank you! I'm glad that you are able to seek care and I agree Karen is amazing (she's coming back to the channel for a visit soon too)! 💛
Great Interview. Karen dropped a lot of gems, from having a hairdigm shift, managing stress, next steps after getting an alopecia diagnosis. This interview would be beneficial for anyone suffering from alopecia.
I know that God can heal the word of God says by the stripes of Jesus I am Healed only through Jesus I pray that Jesus will restore those going through this temporary disease 🙏🏻
And it could be the medication we are taking. I always had a full head of hair until I started taking a certain medication then I noticr my hair started thinning..so I change my diet to mote green vegetables n fruit n it grew my hair but still not the fullest i desire..Thank you for your input so many African women are going through that Alopecia.
I agree with the medication issue..the medicine I take effects my hair considerably..I would rub my hands on my hair and would just fall..I was horrified..that triggered me to go natural..it helped a little..So I asked my cardiologist what was happening..and he informed me that meds was having a direct affect on my hair..I was told to take biotin..it helped..but biotin, and regular scalp massages helped considerably..
Very insightful conversation. Thankyou for this. After a few long years on my natural hair journey, i realise my hair is healthier when i relax twice a year. I cant cane row or braid very well, and as my hair is getting healthier and thicker by the day, i cant manage it as well otherwise. I realise now that my main issue with hair has been stress also! After any stressful event i gain a couple of gray hairs each time. Stress is a killer of hair
So furnate to have watched these video today. Both of these gifted women shared their skills with so much love and positivity and prayerful guidance. We cannot help but benefit. Thankyou both so very, very much. R. F
God brought this timely video to me today after I prayed for His divine guidance. What a blessing as I begin this recovery and healing journey with my hair loss to have this supportive community here. I loved Karen’s Hairdiem shift strategies and for your prayer 🙏🏿
I enjoy adding 1/2 tablespoon of hemp seeds to my salad with red cabbage and romaine lettuce. I prefer using spinach in my smoothie, and I'm considering using dates instead of half a banana as a sweetener. Perhaps I can make chia pudding as a pre-workout snack during my resistance training days. This video is so rewarding, as I was telling my mother how I want to live a healthy, plant-based lifestyle. Thank you for this video. I'm a new subscriber, and I think you are a beautiful breath of fresh air. It's the dimples and your beautiful smile 🙏🏾💐😊.
Thanks for sharing! I've been adding dates as a sweetener lately and they've been a good addition to my smoothies. Thank you for your kind words and welcome new subbie!!
Thank you both for all the helpful tips and for explaining the connection between hair growth and diet. I have lots of grey hair growth, and I need to know about products to color my hair safely.
What a blessing to locate you both!! This was a true educational session indeed!! Can you also speak to the use of vibration/frequency modalities or devices (if you are aware), to help stimulate hair follicles and hair growth, since it is now the wave of the future with medical treatments? Thank you!!!
Thank you both for speaking on this topic, and sharing the info. Much Love & Many Blessings ✨ I’m currently under care of a Trichologist & learning so much.
I really appreciate this interview! I was dx with CCCA over 10 years ago and it has progressed to a point where I feel like I need to cut my sister locks off and focus on my scalp.
Great interview.👏 Karen is one of my favorite YT stylists. I watch her channel often. For me personally, although I didn't know about CCCA it was not a surprise when I was diagnosed because I had SLE since I was a teenager. So my scalp being attacked by a disease that causes inflammation wasn't a stretch to understand. I imagine for those who are healthy it's tougher to understand why there is so much inflammation in their bodies.
This has been so helpful to me. I pray and recently I have decided to eat mor a healthier. I am praying to God to help me give me the strength to do the right thing so my hair can flourish again. I have been to a dermatologist. I'm looking for a good triologist in my area(Baton Rouge)
Thank you sooo much thank you Karen for educating me and thank you Lynne. Thank you you both are beautiful sister so happy I became a vibrational match to your video today.💜✨🌟👑💫
Thank you both, for sharing in your Q&A, very inspiring and just what I needed to hear in order to bring about restoration to my body and scalp issues. God Bless you both 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi Lynn, thank you for the interview with Karen. That was a lot of good information and I love the interview. I’m having bald spot on the side of my head and I have itchy scalp. I believe it might be alopecia, but I do have a doctors appointment to confirm it or not. Can you please tell me what I need to put on my hair. I try different kinds of oil which my scalp does not like. I try different kinds of products in my scalp doesn’t like that either. I’m not sure what to do at this point. And I need a little guidance From you and others who have experience hair loss. I hope to hear from you soon Patricia Woody.
Hi Patricia, Thanks for sharing a little bit about your journey! I’m so glad the content is helpful! Since I’m not a physician or hair specialist, I’m not able to recommend a specific treatment plan. However, I think you’re definitely on the right track with meeting with a doctor! Karen is a trichologist and she might have some videos on her channel that can provide more specific ideas about treatments as well.💛
Chia need to be hydrated because they absorb a lot of water. I put 3 tablespoons of chia seeds in a glass water bottle and fill with water and mix for a few minutes until they don't float to the top of the bottle. Store in refrigerator and then pour over salads . Add to smoothies or drinks
Salad is alive it has minerals etc & donuts are dead…lol! After my digestive issues 5 years ago…I went plant base also and I love my “junk food”…. I workout 5-7 days a week (alternate Pilates & strength training)….💕
I was about to get crochet braids in the next week, but this has helped me to decide not to. I will do whatever it takes because I see there is hope I know with God all things are possible. This, too, shall pass. God will heal my scalp to give me back my glory fully.
Your hair is short, nut it looks healthy And the other sis has beautiful hair as well. So, this proves to each of us, that we canhave healthy, beautiful hair at any length❣️✌️🥰🎉
At some point in time, people will recognize that hair loss very well can be from the mites, bugs, and parasites and fungal issues living on the scalp and under the scalp. That’s why people are using yeast medications. I don’t agree with this approach however I believe it shows a different root cause.
