Give this guy a ton of credit what a patient man. If I where driving a 4 door sedan through there I would have said maybe 70 expletives let alone driving a rig in those tight squeezes way to be wish you luck on every adventure
Please keep the videos coming! I enjoy seeing your adventures! Your comments are pretty thoughtfull as well. Your truck is way awesome&I appriciate your efforts to keep her clean&shiney!
Justin Bush getting excited just raises your blood pressure and no one will ever notice or care anyway, for the few seconds they are in my life isn't worth messing up my day.
Same here, there is no place more confused, and random than DC they just invent stuff while driving. I'm 12 miles out, takes me ten minutes to get there, 45 mins to travel a couple of miles in it!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this vid. You have a great attitude and a mountain of patience. Need more like you on the road. City driving can be a chore and you make it look like a cool breeze! I used to deliver downtown L.A. a couple times a week back in the early 90's, but I'd deliver and pickup before 6am, so traffic wasn't normally an issue. The streets would crawl of homeless people, scammers, drug dealers etc. 5th Street and Alameda around the produce market, I kinda miss it though! Keep on Truckin my man, nice work!
I pay attention to the crosswalk signs too. I love when I time it just right and others pass me like they are going somewhere to only to sit at the light. It turns green when i get close to the intersection and pass them! lol
Mr. Pink I would rather have a short Columbia or cascadia than my 389....for where I have to go....no fun backing and jackknifing retarded alleys in NYC/NJ.
very good video. i worked down around there, back in the late 80's, when the coal fields dried up-in Pa. where i lived. worked for a excavating outfit-right off of beltsville. anyways-when we had a rain day-a couple of us work go out to rt 50-and park-and ride the subway into town back then. didn't cost much to ride in and back. was at lots and lots of the sites on them rain days. memories i will keep my entire life. thanks for showing me that area again. been subbed since i found u several months ago. thanks again.
You’ve inspired me to go back over the road. Has its challenges but I’ve realized that I miss it. Never thought I would, but I do. Thanks for the videos.
Last time I was in DC. Got three parking tickets. One for leaving a truck running while unattended. Reefer unit was running. Next one was parking in a unloading zone. Third was for having a truck in Down Town DC at 7am. One Reefer unit running Two I was unloading but was inside the school with 2 wheeler full of candy. Three How else do you get a delivery down there?? Was driving for Henco Professional Fund Raisers. Delivering candy and stuff to schools. I think those three tickets were over $500. That was in 1986 and never went down town again. Also never did pay those tickets. Being it was a Gelcoat rental truck and trailer. Our company name was not on there. I think the school was on North Capital ST. Keep up the great job. Man that is one sweet ride. I have a 1997 W900L bought. But will not be pulling loads with it. Going to turn it into a toy hauler.
this is my first time seeing your videos love your xplanation of every detail of the truck keep on trucking my friend besafe I've never rode in a semi since my stroke
Have been following you for awhile. Made me a little home sick seeing all of the Washington DC area and the convention center. In 1968-1969 I was stationed with the Navy in DC. I got hooked up with a display company and spent some nights and week ends sitting up displays for companies in different hotels and convention center for conventions that were being held. Loaded and off loaded a lot of those Hugh crates that you showed in the trailer.was a lot of fun and good way to make a little extra money.
Thank you for this particularly interesting video. I have been through the D.C. area several times but never got off of the Interstate highways because of all of the bad things I have heard about the city. Your video has convinced me it is indeed a city worth visiting.
I drive DC everyday must say very nice on handling the big city brother i had to smile when i heard you talked about the crosswalk sign not alot of people know that trick.
I love hearing out-of-towner's prospective of DC... Been here my entire life and can't wait for something different. I LOVE NYC much better. But hey it is what it is. I'm thinking of driving starting next year; wanna see the country
I used to drive around the states with my grandpa and I miss it greatly I’m 21 right now working on getting my cdl to be a future trucker and maybe an owner operator.
Man You have My respect driving in that town. f in awesome!. Looks like that would have been a hard backup with all that crap against the wall.Yes that's a pretty dock looks like all Owner ops in there, usully see a lot of old rusty big carrier trailers in those places.Yes Ill gladly take a week of detention time there!
About the crosswalks. Here in Ontario Canada, when the countdown begins the pedestrians are to stop crossing and allow the traffic to continue so to not get bottle neck. The pedestrians can get a ticket if they are caught crossing during the countdown. Usually they just a warning most times though. I think it's a great idea for the traffic to have time allotted for them to get through without interruptions and it gives you the time to make it through.
Great driving, Great Rig! It's nice to know three are people in this city doing real work, driving here is no joke even in a car. Next time could you maybe pan the camera down so we can see you shifting?
I drive a red 2016 just like yours....I can't be backing in tight areas with my 5th slid all the way back though....especially now that I'm in NJ so much....idk how you back in that tight area, your truck has a 2 foot longer wheelbase than my 389. I'm still adjusting to that long nose 🤥
this is so cool! I had no idea the convention center had such an elaborate garage/loading dock type thing. makes sense though, how else would you get all that stuff in and out.
cool video... the way you came out is the way I go in & out of the DC CC... it's the easiest. I do a lot to convention centers, but I'm in a prostar so not much hood to destroy lol
Give this guy a ton of credit what a patient man. If I where driving a 4 door sedan through there I would have said maybe 70 expletives let alone driving a rig in those tight squeezes way to be wish you luck on every adventure

Because trucks are not allowed inside the beltway unless delivery or permits and not very many places receive truckload freight inside the beltway
