That is a very reasonable apology, however a lot of what she said wasn't just ignorant, it was more vindictive, and I wouldn't be inclined to belief that she just said something in the heat of the moment that she didn't mean. A lot of what she said sounded like genuine disdain, and she seems rotten to the core.
This is an example of punching someone, getting punched back, and then calling the guy a bad person for punching you.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2002. If there is something that has been pressuring me, I don't forget about it, I hyperfixate and can't focus on anything else for long. She seriously tried to use it as an excuse for not responding to someone who was willing to help her climb out of the hole she dug herself into. Just say that you suck and be done with it.

@Kraken ADHD does commonly cause memory loss, you're right, but it also depends on personal responsibility as well. If you don't take responsibility knowing full well that you have an issue keeping your attention focused, then that's on you. It's not anyone else's responsibility to keep you accountable, it's entirely on you.

I'm 30 years old and have had dealt with ADD/ADHD for a good chunk of my life. Never once used it as a crutch or excuse for mistakes I've made. I'm an adult, I'm bound to fuck up, I own up to it and work to improve on myself. That's all.

In university, my instructors tried to tell us that schizophrenics are only born in winter time. There was a study done that said women who gave birth while they were sick or had the flu, their baby would come out with the tendency to become schizophrenic when older.
But I knew all sorts of schizophrenic born in the summer. That has nothing to do with anything. But the medical community presented it as such.
There is actually evidence that people that have schizophrenia statistically are more likely to have been born in the winter, and your anecdotal evidence isn't evidence to the contrary.
That being said, the whole "sick or had the flu" explanation sounds speculative af. Never heard that one. Another thing that is correlated strongly to schizophrenia is smaller ventral striatum volume. However, there are plenty of people with schizophrenia who have perfectly normal ventral striatums, so it's not a necessary condition for a diagnosis.
The explanation that I subscribe to is that schizophrenia might actually be a lot of different disorders that present similarly, and only a few of them are linked to birth month, ventral striatum, etc. But again, that's just speculation too.

Also yes a lot of mental disorders overlap and have similarities, but just because depression and anxiety share a lot of things doesn't mean that depression's just other disorders. Schizophrenia is its own disorder even if it shares similarities.
@@alaughingfreak867 That's the thing, no one knows how or why (at least afaik). It's just a correlation that's been discovered, and causation is assumed because it's very unlikely that having schizophrenia changes your birth month.
But since it's not a universal thing for people with schizophrenia, it's very likely that there is some third (or fourth or fifth) variable that we are missing.

I think this sort of superstition exist because of the current limited knowledge on the causes of schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. Psychology is usually a difficult guessing game because every single person is different meaning you can't really have hard and fast rules.

That service dog situation actually happened to me. His owner was a diabetic in a wheelchair with no legs whose wheelchair toppled over from the sidewalk. Admittedly I don't recall if these were in response to something but with how large her audience was it was bad take after bad take to rank higher on social media I assume. She has repeatedly been an inflammatory and unapologetic creator. Anyway, TikTok has a lot of problems which may have encouraged and incentivized this.
