This reminds me sooo much of 2016 RUclips. Leafy would make a vid pretty much bullying some random kid, & then all the copycat channels would do the same thing until the person was driven off the platform.
It’s so funny that all these commentary channels called Jellybean cringe and unoriginal, while at the same time making the same exact videos, playing the same games, and making the same “edgy” jokes in their vids. Idk bruh I think it’s obvious who the unoriginal ones are 🤷♂️

@@seriously6644 SHE didn't make anyone do anything, and that is the first wrong point here. She did ASK her community to do it, and then ASK them to spam HER stuff, but as most fanbases do they took it too far on their own. The other point that makes no sense is the copying. This is RUclips. Almost none of the content is original, and even when someone does something original somebody else will do it later on. At the end of the day doxing is never excusable and bullying someone because you dislike their content just means you have issues and don't know how to manage your emotions.

There should be laws to prevent people from just doxing someone they don't like. Its kinda scary that the moment you become even a little popular or you upset someone you might be in danger along with your love ones. Ah, 16. I would say i miss those days, but i really don't. Got stuck moderating a dying site's chat, and while it was hell, it was a good way to learn how to handle the masses. Even made long lasting friends there, so its not all that bad, besides the bastards hellbent in ruining people's year.
I'm 18 now, and i have since become a bit more sociable and a more competent administrator than i was before thanks to that.

That’s…not how this exactly works but ok. Publicity can be just attracting attention towards her channel. People who would have otherwise not known about her channel will visit hers and stay if they enjoy it. It brings both long and short term audiences. That’s how “shout out to XXX channel” works. Except this has extra steps to it.

I feel like every time I think I have Charlie's personality pinned down, he surprised me with how nuanced his opinions are. Like, he doesn't take the "yes she sucks" or "no she doesn't" sides, but rather he makes his own side that makes way more sense than either side. I don't know what I'm saying, but you know?

I want to say this is normal, but honestly, yeah a lot of people are too influenced by bandwagons and don't really think for themselves, and then they become the loudest people and influence others in the same way they were influenced.
He's good at using common sense and doesn't lose the plot drowning in the drama. He breaks down the ridiculousness with simple facts to emphasize how much of a non-issue this was and how people made the situation into an even bigger (usually more toxic) deal for the sake of their own views. You don't have to like her or her content to point out she's doing exactly what 99% of content creators do. Emulating a creator/group/style that they admire/are inspired by to gain a like minded following and then, if they enjoy content creation, likely growing into their own more unique style. Dream looked like a Cry copycat to older Twitch users when he started (Definitely not in content but as far as icon/Twitter handles go). It's just a common way to start a community.

I’ve realised the vocal majority of the internet (twitter, youtube comments, etc) hate when things aren’t catered towards them it all needs to be what they want and like and if not they know they can collectively hate on something for that type of entertainment

The reason why people (me) hated jellybean for so long is because i thought for a long time that they were encouraging people to comment that everywhere. I didn’t know who was behind it but i hated them because they had encouraged it. Anyway once i found that they were trying to discourage it i realised it’s not them i should hate, it’s the people who kept spamming that dumb quote.
