Well, yes. Assuming honed points, good plugs, rings are okay and pistons aren't worn. No clogging in the fuel system and a million other things. Properly tuned magneto, good carb, etc. But, yeah, you're right. No need to turn the flywheel like it's the steering column of a 69 Camaro.

I notice all British tractors had mudguards. Did lack of them make USA made tractors very dangerous?
Not necessarily some did have them but yes it could make them more dangerous for sure.
