- Details provided by law enforcement described a dramatic scene around 8 p.m. on July 3, beginning with the defendant, Beau Whitefield, allegedly operating a stolen pickup truck which led to a police chase. Despite running over a spike strip that punctured a tire, the suspect continued driving until King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) deputies, assisted by their aerial support unit, Guardian One, joined the pursuit, along with ground patrol units. They got onto I-5 heading into Seattle with one tire gone and sparks flying off the rim?!? Great camera on the Guardian One chopper, especially when the operator switches between daylight and FLIR to gauge the effectiveness of the spike strips.
Wow this is just getting out of control, these types of people who dares to put others into dangerous situation is very sad. Officers have to be certified and bonded to perform PIT manuevers. Many agencies are prohibited from doing it by the city councils. Sadly it's a liberal political restriction that protects and promotes crime.

Yeah, watch at 8:15 as two people jump out of the truck and run off. One tried to jack the vehicle the rear ended but can't. At some point one of them gets a mini van from somewhere but I didn't see exactly when or how that happened but the chopper crew seemed to know or at least guessed correctly?

The laws in this state encourage crime. 40 minutes to stop this guy, in AR they would have had him stopped in 5 minutes with the first vehicle. Most other southern states would have too. They took the suspect, fed him a 5 star meal, put him in lock up (a luxury motel) asked him if he wanted the county to pay for his sex change, tattoos, plastic surgery, therapy, or a new apartment with all expenses paid. Didnt charge him and gave him drugs and needles. Did I leave any other benefits of car theft/jacking and many other crimes? But boy if you speed or own a tractor trailer you get the shakedown of a lifetime. Oh and be sure your bank account has plenty of money

The guy is dead. We need everyone who was involved with the chase to come to the scene. People on night shift should come in early so they can participate and discuss the chase with others that may or may not have been involved. Other agencies within 25 miles should send all available officers. SWAT is not needed at this time but feel free to stop by.

Law enforcement needs faster vehicles if they are getting gapped by a 1999 Dodge Caravan.
They kept up. They couldn't get a PIT trained/certified officer in place. Only a couple in any department can do so. Multiple agencies, and some cities prohibit it in their districts.

They travelled from Convington, Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Des Moines, Tukwila and finally in to south Seattle. Every one of those were involved.
