  • Forrest Gump (1994): Deleted Scene - Forrest runs into Martin Luther King Jr's Selma march
    The video is very choppy but this shows what the was intended for the film before being cut. Forrest chats with Jenny about her getting accepted into college, then mistakens MLK's Selma march as a parade. He then walks into the parade and sees German sheperds. He has a flashback of him with German sheperds (shown in video) and fetches them with a stick to distract them. He then apologizes to everyone including MLK and walks away.
    I am not using this video for any other purposes but only for entertainment, I am not making money off of this video. I do not have any rights to this footage and it is owned by Paramount. I'm just a fan like everyone else.

    Sometimes the world needs an actual Forrest Gump. I sometimes wish that this extraordinary man was living right next door to me because he's kind he's sweet he's protective and he is also Smart in his own way and he's also inspired people. Life is too short and life is like a box of chocolates you just don't know what you're going to get.

    The movie does a great job following most of the book. But there are quite a few extra adventures in the book. Forrest spends time as an astronaut, a pro wrestler, a chess champion and a Hollywood stunt man. He's also built more like a football linebacker than a thin wiry fellow like Tom Hanks.

      @Yodavid1 chess is not all about intelligence. Forrest was top in his military training over more intelligent as well as more physical people. He is shown to be good at things and can learn quickly. IMO he was actually fairly intelligent but just lacked social cues and skills. I would say he had a lower functioning ASD.

    This feels like something Mr Bean would do

    • @james_fisch
      @james_fisch Год назад

      A Forrest Gump style in a Mr. Bean movie would be hilarious since it wouldn't be much about dialogue. Years ago I joked on the idea of Mr. Bean coming to America, somehow visiting Washington D.C. Why? Who knows or cares. But Mr. Bean is there regardless, and at some point misplaces Teddy. He walks around the Capitol and accidentally stumbles into a House of Representatives session. When asked what he wants, everyone hears him nonchalantly say "I'm looking for Teddy." He eyes the room around without taking a further step, then leaves without saying another word.
      Everyone in the chamber weeps, misinterpreting the meaning of what he said, thinking he was making some bold, philosophical, cheesy political statement with the implication that Teddy Roosevelt would be appalled with every single congressperson in the modern day. All sides of the political spectrum work with their differences and solve peace for five minutes. The whole scene sounds funny in my head mainly because that's unrealistic, and also because Mr. Bean changing the world for a few minutes accidentally is a trope from the 1997 movie where he gives a supposedly smart-sounding speech on the history behind Whistler's Mother.
      Also I hope I wrote this comment completely as apolitical and nonpartisan as possible, it's meant to be satire without a harsh bite.
