Motion X-ray Can Tell Us a Lot About a Patient's Sacroiliac Joint Instability

  • In this short video, Danielle Matias, PA-C shows a motion x-ray example that demonstrates why patients may feel symptoms more on one side than the other. Under motion x-ray, sometimes there is an objective difference in the level of instability when a patient does certain movements. In this case, the patient performed a twisting motion, and this is where we could really zero in on why she was experiencing worse symptoms on one side. We thought the patient's description of her SIJ instability was relatable too. We love our patients!

@Caring Medical, can you please do a video on the neurological component of EDS/POTS/MCAS comorbidities (through maybe something like neck instability, vagus nerve/jugular vein issues? I am particularly interested in Cushing's Disease and HyperKinetic Gall Bladder, but of course, there are many more.

I noticed on videos from before that you treat a lot of c1-c2 or c2-c3 but I wanted to ask if you can help with c3-c4 to c5-c6 bulging

Hi Danielle, a previous patient here. Dr. Hauser fixed my neck instability, a year or so ago and I’m so happy it helped, but now I think I have sacroiliac joint instability as I injured my hip when I slipped on moss and my left leg went sky high into the air and now my hip hurts on and off, mostly on. It’s been about 2 months and still pain me. I’m hoping the pain will get better with time, I’m pretty sure I have EDS and stretched my hypermobile hip. Do you think time will heal it. Of course short on money so I’m hoping time heals all.thank you.

Hi Gail - we are happy to hear that you are happy with how your neck is healing. However, we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing hip pain... as you know, instability is a degenerative disease meaning it will only continue to worsen over time if nothing is done to regenerate the tissues, ligaments, etc. meaning time does not always heal all wounds... We are praying for your complete healing and hope that you can find relief!

I constantly have to do the shotgun method to keep my hips from feeling like they are pinching. I need to do that x Ray because my doctors couldn’t figure it out.
