17:40 The reason you can’t get ventilated sport seats is due to the massage function which uses an air cushion system instead of mechanical - I think it’s a unique feature and it’s nice that it’s available, but maybe they should have made the ventilated seats the standard and the sport/massage seats the option. They do look so good regardless
2021 Arteon owner here, glad it was mentioned! I can literally count on one hand how many others I've seen since I bought mine last year. I have the SEL Premium R-Line which is loaded. Also, If you are not worried about warranty, (The EA888 engines are pretty bulletproof) you can achieve the S5 power numbers with a $600 tune. I'm currently at around 370hp with APR's stage 1 and a few engine bolt ons. You can retain a 3rd party warranty for around $1200. It's been a fantastic car and it definitely turns heads as there are very few around.
Thanks for your professional car review, Matt! Though I love Audi's products and I think they speak to me in many ways, I think I'd find it really difficult swallowing the prices they command.
Love your reviews bro been subbed for several years now and you’ve always been my fav for your sincerity. Iv gotten to pick up several s5’s from the Audi dealer near the Xpel I work at and they’re just a blast. Love the turbo noises inside the cabin in dynamic mode
This Audi S5 is my favourite car from Audi~ So sleek and cool in design, and with it being a sportback, I would consider getting this because of that extra practicality~ I don't really think you need the RS 5, because this car even with the de-tuned 3.0L V6 is more than enough power, I mean 349 HP is still nothing to scoff at.
I'm glad you mentioned the stinger as they look very similar and share many of the same features. I bought a 2022 stinger GT1 and love it! I was looking at Audi and bmw but really couldn't justify all the extra money for the badge.
I love the look of the stinger. The online community is weird though. Especially the guys who think they're crazy fast stock. Guy at my gym has mustang killer sticker on his lol. And he is bone stock.
I have a 2014 S5 which I absolutely love but after trying out my friend's Stinger (2020) I feel like it's a great package if you compare with similar cars. I really have to try a dsg though and see all the fuss is about.
@@goldentrucker7921 yeah I didn't get it to be the fastest on the road. More like a compromise between comfort, speed, and carseat fits in the back lol.

This is my PERFECT car. A more luxury Stinger GT2, but I don't think it's worth almost $20k more for the Audi badge and some carbon fiber. Also, that "German engineering" argument for the Audi doesn't really work lol because the Stinger is the work of Peter Schreyer (Audi) and Albert Biermann (BMW).
@@MattMaranMotoring Matt, thank you much for the great video - you mention here about opting for the Kia stinger GT in comparison to this S5, which would you opt for between the Kia stinger GT and the Genesis G70 (and why?)…
With OBDEleven you can change the temperature of the steering wheel to your comfort level. In any mode pull the shift lever back and you will be in the sport version of that mode and the car wakes up. I drive mostly between dynamic sport auto and manual.
They obviously fixed a lot of issues I had with the car during the facelift. That's great to hear. This car has Audi's current best interior (IMO) but it's still lacking in many luxury touches, many of which you covered in the other video. It's also missing a leather(ette) dash and door coverings, features available in the competition. This car could be great if Audi simply embraced making this a great grand tourer, but they won't. So this car remains a good car that's just short of being great.
Nice video Matt! You mentioned that only the US doesn't get digital gauges on the Kia Stinger. Actually, no market anywhere gets full digital gauges on the Stinger. So, not just you guys.
Thanks for the Stinger comparison. I’d like a nice GT type car for road trips with my wife. The Audi is probably out of our price range but I don’t want yet another SUV.
Awesome review sir! FYI, for the 2023 model year the V6 Stinger will only be sold in the GT2 trim (i.e. the fully loaded trim). Kia has eliminated the GT1 trim. As you noted in thr video, the fully loaded Stinger and base model S5 arr VERY close in price. Maybe a 2k difference. Which would you pick? Loaded Stinger or base S5? FWIW I think Kia really messed up by removing the cheaper GT1 trim.
It's nice, but it makes me miss the 1st generation S5. Better looks and engine resonance on the original. That noted, four door coupe styling is en vogue right now, thanks to zee Germans. The color makes it pop. 💙👌
