- I took both my F/1.4 Lenses out this weekend. The Panasonic Leica 25mm and the adapted Olympus OM 50mm F/1.4 - Not that I needed the extra light but the shallow DOF was great to focus in on certain aspects of the cars or just to get a cool full frame look to the photo.
Just like the older Mustangs from the 1960's, my favourite would have to be the OM 50mm Retro classic that I adapted onto my Olympus EM1 Mark II micro four thirds camera. Of course it turned it into a 100mm but the low aperture of F1.4 and telephoto compression gave some great creamy bokeh.
Every time I use these old lenses from the 70s it just gives that cool retro look. I think because its not as clinically sharp as modern lenses. Manual focus is a challenge, especially when your holding on to Jerry with the other hand.. but I love it. I need to get more vintage glass...
Thanks for watching. Jerry and I really appreciate it

I loved watching this a lot. Amazing cars and the Elvis thing was funny! You have one lol
@@Gioia67 haha yes I remember that Elvis..
Still using the EM1 (2)! So pleased for you, it must feel good having the GAS under control. Great video thanks
@@andrewilkinson id like to test out different cameras but they don't rent them out. For what I do it's more than enough. If I got into wildlife I'd prob upgrade.. lol gas
A couple of excellent pics, Roberto. You remind me to put some of my vintage lenses back on my EM1 II. What an amazing camera that is. No need to upgrade. It still rocks.
@@1957PLATO yeah.ita true when they say these lenses had character. A change from the clinical sharpness. Ironically. Some times you want super sharp and sometimes not.
Great video Roberto, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A nicely varied range of pictures and I honestly can't pick out a single favourite.
My goodness, those old cars even looked good in brown!
@@leewilkins2649 your too kind Lee.. 👍 yes the Shelby Pantone 351 is my fav color.. 😆 so tempted to buy one actually.. me and Jerry cruising down route 66 with the top down
Hmm, I have the OM 50mm f1.4 but use it only for film (on a OM-2n). You may have convinced me to buy an adapter 😁
Yeah. It came with my om1. Adapts well. Shutter priority and kept my eye on the iso is how I did it. Hard to find the 1.4.. lots of 1.8 out there
Jerry! Good to see the pony cars. The janitor at my school had one of the first Mach One's in the late 60's. Awesome cars.
@@Veterans_for_Harris very cool cars. I just realized shooting ponys with my pony lens 😆
I love the pics you produced with the old school manual focus 1.4 Roberto. 👌 Hallelujah!
@@triumph_cv praise be to the old lenses. Lol. They nearly converted me..
great video Roberto & Jerry loved the lenses, dont tempt me 😉😂
@@ggwildlife haha. Yes lots of goodies in my eBay cart ready to go... I should save up and get a mustang instead 😆
Some great images there
@@markdurham3434 cheers. Fun day out with Jerry and the old lenses
Normally cars do nothing for me but I have to admit those 60's Mustangs were pretty cool. Great photos.
@@patternsinsand Im thinking about those new Mini actually but I'll need to buy a pen f first. I'd love a retro car.. I already have the fluffy dice but the upkeep is expensive..
@@robdido I've been unreliably informed that you need to prove Pen F ownership before they even let you test drive a new mini.
Fun video Jerry, the cars are very nice, but it was easy to spot the counterfeits, they're the ones with the steering wheel on the right side🤣
@@Enrique-the-photographer that's correct we drive on the right side of the road.. your driving on the wrong side of the road 😆.. Jerry likes them she can now take control of the steering wheel
@@robdido 🤣🤣🤣
Good job Rob & Jerry, you guys are the best!!
@@bccev770 cheers. Love those cars. Jerry told me to buy one.. day
@@robdido Yeh man a nice convertible.
