Great video Rob n jerry as always great to see you both, now you got me wanting to blow the dust of my Canon 5D mk III and 50mm 1.8 tut tut you bad boy.
The Canon 5d is a mythical camera. Even if you get the exposure wrong by 3 stops, you can salvage the photo. Those Raw files are so flexible,so to speak.
@@1957PLATO yes. I noticed the sky was very flexible. Who needs filters lol. Makes it too easy. Thinking of the R5 now that the 2nd version is out pricee should drop
You should invest in a bean-bag Roberto. Just rest it on a wall or fence, attach your 10 stop ND and away you go. Not as good as a tripod, granted, but tiny and weighs nothing. Makes you work for your picture too because of the restrictions on where you can put it. I enjoyed that, I don't recall seeing you film from there before. The anchor with a wide-angle lens would have looked good.
Thanks. Yeah. I was thinking of one to rest on the car window and do a photo drive. I think birders use them too. Yeah not much there but those clouds just begged to be crunchied up in post 😆
True. My heard hurts when I watch all those R1 and R5 reviews.. simple is better. Funny since I bought it I have rarely used the menu.. don't need too haha 😆
Fun video, older cameras bring back nice memories, like when I was single and didn’t have a mother-in-law🤣
Haha.. and lots of cash.. I think this old duck was expensive back in the day..

Haha.. yeah. Clunky but the image quality is still great... Now I'm thinking of expanding my lens. Those ef lenses have a good reputation.. GAS 😆
Good photo walk Rob, Sydney looks interesting.
Heaps better places too.. but I'm lazy to go.. the coastal areas are the place to go

I had a trusty 5D MKII for 10 years untril I moved to Olympus. It was a damn good camera.
Yeah. Never shot with a FF pro camera I'm amazed at the image quality.. doesn't really matter how old.. I'd love to try an R5
@@robdido You'd probably want to start saving now for an R5, maybe sell a kidney and you might get there LOL.
Just goes to show that unless you’re looking for the latest video specs the old gear works just fine.
