In my opinion though, your stepsister has proven to be the bad guy than you are because of what she did to you back then and always will plus for your parents to say that you must apologize to her, she must apologize to you first down the line due to the fact that fair play is fair play and if they aren't willing to do that, you're exempted from doing so big time, problem solved right there.

Sometimes you hear a story and you automatically take the side of whoever the OP is simply because that's the side you hear and know, kind of like your own story. So I go into stories rarely believing the OP carte blanche. But when the OP described how she loved a man because he treated her best and supported her when she needed him and not for any superficial reason...I had to side with her 100%.
Why does Jokes Toast use a female voice for the short versions and a male voice for the long versions why can’t Jokes Toast use the same female voice for both?
For me i find the male voice better but at the end of the day who cares.

The step-sister was allowed to do things she never should have been allowed. And the OP was simply setting the record straight. The entire family deserved to know the truth, and the parents were absolutely in the wrong and the step-sister and parents are a perfect example of the old axiom: "If it is destroyed by the truth, it deserves to be destroyed by the truth." The step-sister and parents' reputations were built on lies, so they brought it on themselves. The family members who see through the step-sister's lies, and I honestly do not think the OP is not being petty at all. "Poking the bear in the sore spot" is always dangerous for the person poking her. The step-sister is getting her just desserts, and so is the step-father, especially the divorce. The OP isn't the reason for the divorce, rather an inevitable revelation that was always going to come out did.

I think you should install some cameras and get your neighbours alerted for the SS as well. Cuz she is kind of free now, from the husband and the child and judging by the fact that the parents are on her side as well, she might go the crazy way and attack your house, which will not be a problem right now as you're leaving but if you get proof of dangerous behaviour you can get a restraining order on her.
Yes! I was actually just thinking about it. She goes on her honeymoon, feels free and probably stops thinking about all of it. Then one day she turns around and crazy step-sister is standing there with an axe or something. 😂😂 It sounds like her mean step-sis went out of her way to hurt and humiliate her all these years and it backfired. Stepsister got so used to Stepmom and dad bailing her out and chastising OP For the things she's done that she just believed that even after OP left the nest she'd still cave to all their demands. But OP is a big girl now. An adult. And the parents knew their only leverage now was inheritance. The power they held now was lost forever and they had the one card to play. It backfired.

I mean that they really think oh people's going to be their doormat forever? at one moment everything would spring out and they did. to be honest I don't think they realize what they are doing is not even hurting op in the slightest. I mean cutting her off? She already cut them off!
also op didn't do anything but reveal the truth and they were the ones constantly nagging her for another apology which made things worse. all they had to do was apologize and really think about what they did. but of course they won't accept what they did wrong. well at least at the end of the day they will live with the regret of what they did.

I see a lot of the comments saying that she was the good guy and for the most part I agree. But the part towards the end of the story to which she says that she might have ended the mom’s relationship for the kid but I don’t feel guilty sucks. Like I get it she has been through some things, but as a kid with divorced parents I know how hard it is to live like that and if I were her I would apologize for making that kid live through what he might have to expeirience. It’s nit entirely her fault nkt at all but I still think it’s wrong to say such insensitive things. Your sister has bullied, harassed, and antagonized you and getting payback and expressing your feelings is great but keep in mind who else you are effecting nit just her or you.

I think the toxicity demonstrated by SS wouldn't lend itself to a healthy co-parenting relationship or mother-child dynamic. Ex sounds like a shitbag too for cheating, but honestly losing this mother figure might not be that much of a loss tbh
