Thanks Marine. Great shooting and information. BTW As you know, the thoughts of the one misguided individual that posted an extremely inappropriate comment on this video are extremely far removed from the rest of us. Blessings. He is risen…he is risen indeed!
I ran a box of the Lapua Long Range through my CZ 457 American, and got almost identical results to yours. I shot them at 50 yards and got similar groups. Over the chronograph, they averaged 1,055 fps through my 24.8" barrel. I really couldn't see any advantage the ammo had over the Center-X. Something else I want to mention about the bullet lubricant that is used on the Lapua, SK, and Eley ammunition. I too, find it a little messy on my hands. But I went out a few days ago when the temperature was forty degrees Fahrenheit, and the Eley Club ammunition I had with me wasn't oily, or greasy. The lubricant had solidified, and it was like paraffin wax. It wasn't messy at all.

Great to see you go to the 100 big fella! Personally I don’t think that ammo is worth it . But hey , it all depends, right? You know big man , I just got a Lilja barrel for my CZ. This is the first barrel I’ve had that hasn’t reached the point of diminishing returns with sk rifle match . It seems the groups get better and better with the more expensive stuff . Last week I averaged 0.15” with center x, with a best group of .07” (5 shots at 50) . Sorry for the bragathon, but it makes me wonder if a custom barrel like your Douglas would show the fractional improvements of the higher end stuff . I thought the stuff looked good at 100.. you had a bit of wind and they still looked good . By the way, put me down for one of those hats in XL. I’ll wear it with pride .. I’ll throw in an extra $10 for an autographed one ! I love your show, thank you my friend . Let us know when the hats come available ! Best wishes for a fabulous Easter for you and the family . Without HIM , none of us would have a chance. Praise Jesus!
Thats awesome Jeff that Lilja barrel will be awesome with that cz as you have found out. The after market barrels do show improvement with the higher end stuff. I absolutely appreciate the love and support my friend. Jesus is real and is my lord and savior Happy Easter!

Mr Dayattherange I have notice something in your shooting that you do not follow through and sqeeze that trigger but when you do your group is tight take your time sqeeze that trigger and follow through do not rush each shot , from a 22lr competition shooter in England aged 77.
About a 50fps increase in velocity for the Long Range but still subsonic. I keep thinking you were a company first shirt when you retired... maybe a battalion SgtMaj, but you remind me of a whole lot of first sergeants from back in the day.
Ive found that one manufacturer of ammo with different ammo grades and or different lots of the same the lube will be a little different snd yes you'll have to shoot it in to get the groups tight. I think thats what you had going on here.
Great video yet to see any laupa long range this side of the pond and still waiting on SK to hit our shores again 😢 But heres a question for you SK or lapua long range much difference in price SK long-range match has been my go to but down to my last brick but my local shop has a ton of rws R50 coming in so that will keep Lynne happy 😅
Hey this is Henry at O Ford good looking hat on your first two chronograph if you threw out the very first one the spread would be almost exactly the same as the long range good shooting
Having level target lines to aim at helps a lot to create tight groups - even more so at distance Those 100 yards targets were crooked as a politician 😉
Question ? You stated you had a tuner on correct? If so wich brand is it set to? And would that have a difference in group size since it was not tuned in to that style of ammo?
I think thats exactly what they did was more powder charge for distance. Though I have not taken one apart yet almost to expensive to even waste one lol but I hear the base of the freedom pill might be more concaved.
Yes I believe if it was tuned for the long range it would have potentially come out better based on the extreme spread. Though this wasn't a bad showing as the tuner was set for centerX
@Dayattherange And like you stated, there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between those 3 rounds. I'd be curious to know what the difference is between them. I'm thinking, powder. If everything else seems to be identical.
@@stevenclark7070 I am thinking powder as well, my cheap butt doesn't want to take one apart LOL. I hear that the bullet on the long range series has more concaved base?
@Dayattherange Well, there's only one way to find out! Be crazy if they made a boat tail bullet for 22lr. Probably doesn't have the speed to have any benefits and to create a bullet with the long point you could only use in a single feed bolt action. But of course, we are now getting into 223 & 556 territory. Why is the 22lr such a deep rabbit hole? Because fools will follow! Hahaha! Have a great day!
DATR, pretty sweet groups at 50 yards, and it should be at the price of that ammo, how about showing, if turning the tuner would help at 100 yards ????
It would be a good test. The tuner is set for centerX right now so the questions is. Knowing it is set for centerX can centerX out shoot it at 100yards. I almost hate messing with the tuner for long range as I do not know how much of it I will buy or even can buy right now 😁😁
@@Dayattherange Doesn't really matter for the 50yd targets. Just shift the decimal one to the left. Just caught me off guard when it was saying your tiny little groups were 10+ MOA. Lol
