Unbelievable work! I've watched probably 12 of your videos and have been working at tinting every reflector and light on my Mustang Mach-e with the exception of the headlights. Those I will do in a few days. I've learned as I've gone along but I feel like you've taught me a new skill that I can share with my family and friends. Thank you so much.
In that jurisdiction, he's way more likely to be ticketed for the license plate cover (a lot of people in that province put covers on, even clear ones, to protect their reg plates as they are made with the durability of tissue paper in a light drizzle, yet, clear plates are contrary to the HTA/obstructing view of plate: $100 ticket, or so). Also, he's a Firefighter. A Constable who tickets a Firefighter for something like that is a right dick.
Thanks for all your vids! I just finished wrapping the lights on my Model S after watching your work about 20 times. A bit of a learning curve working with the material, but all your advice helps a lot and by the 3rd piece I felt like I really had the hang of it. I also have a new respect for car designers, there's so many subtle shapes that get overlooked.
Could be a technical thing like he said: couldn't be done well with a wet application Could be that they didn't want to risk liability for applying illegal tint, some shops won't tint windows beyond what is road legal for the same reason.
@Villain Of Brandon, some clients actually use the '' I asked for 5%, they made it 25% at the shop'' excuse, and for the life of me I have no idea why they do it...douche move.
@@angelvigilante82 shops turn these down because that shit pills off after a few months that and people complain. My company used to do them and clear bras and we quit two years back because the products doesn't stick to plastic good at all. We went through five manufacturing companies.
So many of you are crying about it not bring legal or why tint the lights... As far as it being illegal I'm sure just like MANY other shops they put illegal tint on cars/trucks all the time. They turned this one down because of the difficulty. As far as why tint the lights... who cares. It's what the customer wants. It's not your truck so don't worry about it. Just finished doing my 2022 F150 Powerboost. Your video saved my ass and a shit load of money. Took me 3 times to do the first light….the key being heat control and not over stretching. It’s not an easy headlight to do but watching how you handled the lifted plastic for the turn signals was 100% “stone cold” helpful. BTW..you are a master at this but more important an excellent teacher.
I bought some of this wanting to do my headlights and taillights but was told by a friend that in PA they enforce lighting law's heavily. So instead I decided to use it on the chrome trim on my car and it actually looks amazing.
Christian, you're amazing dude! You're the only wrapper on RUclips that I'll watch. Your knowledge and techniques are second to none! Keep up the good work brother.
I respect everyone's opinion but there is no doubt that it looks freaking awesome after all and it will protect the headlights from all the elements they are exposed too on the every day use, great job dude!!!
Thanks for this video. Just purchased my 2020 F150 in oxford white. It was a little too shiny for me. I have done a few vinyl jobs doing lettering and such, but never did a wrap. Thought "what the hell, I can try that." Came out great. So good I decided to do the tail lights too. Truck looks great with a little less shine to it.
People are missing the point here, you handle that tint with ease. Air release, fart release, whatever release. Thing is this stuff is sticky and will stick to itself in an instant. You Sir, nailed it!
Thanks for the help. That looks great. I bought all the supplies for the job from your links. If all goes well and others want me to wrap their lights ill be back for more stuff.
Great work CK, look amazing. why do you not have a wooden stool, drill a hole in the middle, slightly larger than the mouthpiece of the heat gun, then you do not have to take it off the ground every time. This is what I did, and it saves you a lot of bend work, and you have the heat gun immediately at hand. It's just an Idea. Keep up the good work.

So before watching your video I was never a fan of tinted lights. Mostly because I always thought of just the completely blacked out ones that I almost rear end because you cant see anything from them. After seeing the vvivid light smoke application on the 18-19 f150 headlight I have a new thought of them and ordered the tint and will be giving it a try. If all goes well I will try and get a video of the 2nd light. Thank you for the video and inspiration to try some cheap mods!
Bro, watched your video when I wrapped my headlights!! Litterally ONLY video that actually gave good instructions on how to tint. Never tinted, wrapped anything in my life!! And Chevy Tahoe have same strange headlight shape as these, 5 companies in town turned me down, figured fuck it do it myself only be out $ for product!! It wasnt this video I watched, a little car was what you were doing. BUT man 3 months later still holding up, did my 3rd break light on the Tahoe and it was so easy after watching your videos!! Still having trouble with the 17 Tahoe tails, due to so much bending but think I just need to cut out bigger pieces to work!! Awesome videos man, keep it up!!🤙

I have them ajusted as far down as they can go and I still blind people, I like being able to see, but I think the gov should have regulations on headlights because they are dangerous almost they are so bright
For sure. Those damn lights are incredibly bright and rough on on-coming traffic. They may afford terrific lighting / visibility for the driver, especially on work-sites and on farms in rural areas, but damn, they are rough in suburban driving.
Shhiiiiii man, the govt is the problem in this regard. In the US you can't do any changes to the headlight systems other than headlights that turn left or right when you do. In fact Audi or another German car company has developed systems that will use a front facing camera to see where other drivers are and then will direct the headlights away from them as well as illuminate darker areas when possible. So you can essentially drive with your brights on all the time but the headlights never face other drivers. This debate came up briefly when that self driving Uber test car hit that woman on her bike in Arizona. I watched that video and man she came out of no where. Wasn't the self driving car's fault. Hell that car probably reacted quicker than any human would have. Point being this is a new system that the US DOT has regulated illegal that needs to go. Especially if we want self driving cars.

A little caution to you for future customer complaints. We used a thick laminex brand on many installs. Stuff was like 12 mil I think. Popular with the mustang's. But we had customers calling us saying their lenses cracked and wanted warranty. Anyways we found That the issue was they installed aftermarket HIDs which Burn at a higher temperature than factory. The tint would trap that heat and the crack factory glass light lenses. Just a heads up incase this issue happens to someone else.

This stuff is great I retinted the headlights and taillights on my 13 Accord that I previously did wet, what a pain in the ass that was. I also did a set of Maxima headlights that I previously failed at with the wet app. I did all of this in about an hour and a half

Gonna try again tonight with a different approach and hope for a different result. Would love to see a "Stump CK Wraps" challenge where Christian wraps what people claim is impossible. Just a thought.
Great job. I did mine myself I use the vivid tint pretty easy to work with Just one problem I have when the light turn on it give a crock look. But I guess that's just the air release technology
I guess that I’m old, but they use to sell blackout lens for the front and the back lights. Everyone complaining about less light. Pretty sure that the company was GTS. Back in the nineties.
People are so uneducated in this comment section. First of all, the tint that was installed on this truck was very light, so the intensity of the light will barley be affected. Second, people tint their headlights on cars ALL the time. It’s a way to make them look more aggressive. Lastly, tinted headlights are typically not a common thing to be pulled over for, especially if it’s as light as the tint is in this video.
What one cop or inspector may overlook another one won't, I had a friend that had factory smoked headlights get a fail at inspection because the inspector said the law states no tint on them, the tint was permanently applied and he even showed them the window sticker stating it was a factory option, dude didn't care, he had to drive to a different station to get it passed.
I have a 2021 F150 FX4 and I'm having a devil of a time finding anyone willing to take on the challenge of smoking out my tail lights with either wrap or tint film. I'm located just south of Charlotte, NC, wish you guys were closer.

This vid gave me a great idea 😎 I'm going to put limo tint on my rear view and both side mirrors. 🌕🌓🌒🌑
Great job. I did mine myself I use the vivid tint pretty easy to work with Just one problem I have when the light turn on it give a crock look. But I guess that's just the air release technology
Work of art bro!
I guess that I’m old, but they use to sell blackout lens for the front and the back lights. Everyone complaining about less light. Pretty sure that the company was GTS. Back in the nineties.
Wish you were local to me, I had my tint guy try to duplicate what you did on my 2018 f150 but he couldn’t do it.
ZMC exactly
What one cop or inspector may overlook another one won't, I had a friend that had factory smoked headlights get a fail at inspection because the inspector said the law states no tint on them, the tint was permanently applied and he even showed them the window sticker stating it was a factory option, dude didn't care, he had to drive to a different station to get it passed.
Wrong out here in California people get pulled over all the time for this stupid shit. My company charges $60 just to remove the tint off the lights.
@@RHEC1776 California... nuff said 🤣💀
@ Correct. Keep clingfilm in the kitchen.
great job and great looking truck
Is it just me or does that green on that black around the headlights actually look pretty cool
You’re a beast my man, good job!
I have a 2021 F150 FX4 and I'm having a devil of a time finding anyone willing to take on the challenge of smoking out my tail lights with either wrap or tint film. I'm located just south of Charlotte, NC, wish you guys were closer.
