This is the best video I've seen with the 23 s1000rr yet. Perfect camera angles. I purchased the 23s1k and I was worried it wasn't all that, but after seeing this video I'm starting to think it's pretty fast. Also there was no lift on the s1k maybe different settings could make it a bit quicker.
The bike is geared 17/42 (going 43 soon), lowered, and strapped. That all makes the bike easier to keep down. Everything is cut off electronically. There were a few runs the nose lifted, you only see one in this video where the bike pulls up a little.

Pound for pound the gsxr is a better bike. It’s just not as flashy Even take this video the Suzuki is still a full bike has all the OEM style Parts. The bmw has to rotor delete to get to keep up in the same fashion
Still can't understand why people waste money on the most technological advanced bikes and then slammed the bikes and do all mods against what you just paid for😮. If straight line wars is what you like just get a GSXR that is probably the best bang for your buck. Nice video. Hint...wings won't help top end.
It's not for you to understand. People do what they do. We all .... correction most of us work very hard for what we have. So at the end of the day, it's not up to you and I what someone else chooses to do with their money. And I agree the GSX-R1000R is a great straight line machine, but it handles the corners extremely well. It's one of the best bikes I've ever been on. And I've been on just about all of the modern sports bikes

I don't know where you live (first time I've seen your videos). And though it's good to see people out riding, it makes me sad that you only have areas to ride where you feel the need to set your SPORT-bikes up to run drag races on straight interstate highways. Sorry you don't have (or don't like(?)) areas where you can ride the twisties ... and REALLY experience taking the sides of the rear tire down to the cord BEFORE you've used up the center of the rear tire. But at least you're out riding and having fun!! The races were pretty even!

The boys at the track raise the front end on the bikes to give them ground clearance. Aswell as raise the back. Lengthening the wheel base helps aswell. Put the back wheel as far back as you can get it. Change the gear ratios. Probably put an ohlins ttx GP on the back and ohlins internals in the forks. Ohlins dampener. Loose the abs. Might start to have a half decent bike by then

All my buddies with tuned gsxr1000r always beat the bmw but its always close and the bmw owners get so mad and refuse to believe it lmao. I just picked up my 23 gsxr1000r cant wait to start the build. Not saying the Bmw wont ever win but the Suzuki is the faster bike 90% of the time.
I have a 2008 GSXR1000 and a 2013 BMW S1000RR. Both are awesome bikes. So, to be fair, in this video, the GSXR1000R is the top GSXR isn't it? And isn't the top BMW the M1000RR? To put them head-to-head should be the top of both bikes. Yes, there is a huge price difference between the two. But top vs top, if that's what you're doing here. None the less, nice video.
Actually no, there is one more model gsxr above the one In this video which comes in the blue color and it’s the called the gsxr 1000 RZ…only reason I know that is because I also have a 22 gixxer 1k and there were 3 different models to choose from when I bought mine…The regular gsxr 1k, the one in this vid (gsxr 1k rr), and then the gsxr 1k rz. I’d like to see them both head to head as well like you said. Edit: Also, I’m not sure what all the differences between them all are other than the suspension, braided brake lines and color graphics etc, but I’m pretty sure all 3 have identical engines I could be wrong though lol 🤷♂️
I appreciate you tuning in this was just a test. Non Model specific. Have a m1000rr will not make a difference. It would be a little worse in this scenario. The m1000rr lack bottom end and it would recover against my gsxr because the race was over
If its got stock suspension you'll have zero chance , these bikes will eat you alive, there hitting full throttle in first gear, you cant even hit half throttle in 1st on a H2 without if flipping you, i have a H2 done 20k miles so ive done plenty of testing haha
Why do u guys “rotor delete” bikes that do over 200mph?? To drop 10 lb maybe 15 lb? And why do u run your forks 6-10 inches above ur top triple tree?? Looks dangerous and probably smashes ur fender and fairings…. The big bike companies spend billions in research and development. And y’all just customize these bikes to go fast in a straight line and not be able to stop cause u have one rotor and one caliper. Hope u don’t get brake fade and put them fork tubes in ur face. I have been riding for over 25 years and this all just seems risky to say the least. May god be with you my friends.

Some set ups are more extreme than others. Where you see 10-15lbs of static weight. think rotational mass !!!!! Now imagine that at speed you’ve just dropped some major weight. Precautions are take to make sure we’re as safe as possible. Brakes are upgraded to accommodate rotor deletion which leave no brake fade as we’re not on a road Course. Brake have a ton of cooling Time. Billions spent doesn’t equal passions for everyone so modifications are needed. Lastly a good bit of these bikes still hit corner with zero issues

😂😂😂😂 I see you keep commenting without knowing all the facts. You definitely need to watch this video again & pay close attention. The bmw isn’t stock and it is tuned but both bikes are very closely modified in comparison to each other.
