When I first saw you I thought " Melissa Gilbert from 'Little House On The Prairie' has grown up and become a physicist, how wonderful!", :).....but I do have a question which is how do particles or matter retain their integrity or what keeps everything separate? I know about EM, frequency, temperature, and that we are made from stardust but on our level/scale what is it that keeps us apart? I know EM is millions of times stronger that gravity but I still am missing an understanding of how all the different elements are actually created/maintained. Thanks again for a great lecture, peace.
I still think the scientists have it all wrong. There's one glaring problem in cosmology that most scientists are studiously ignoring, (Except for Neil Turok et al) that is the Dark Energy problem. And the Standard Model is incomplete as it doesn't describe or incorporate gravity at all. Even Einstein's theory of General Relativity describing gravity so eloquently doesn't jive with the Standard Model at all. We need another breakthrough in thinking and less fantastical theories like string theory and the Many Worlds theory. In addition, the idea of inflation is an assumption based on nothing testable. I agree. I remember early in my career, I frequently published research papers and attended conferences to present my work along with many other colleagues from around the world. It always dismayed me when some presenters apologized for showing equations in their presentations, and this was to a group primarily of other experts in the field. At the company I worked for later in my career, I was heavily criticized for showing equations in my papers (which were the essence of my work) and was told by my managers to stop doing that. I refused to comply.

Isn't it impossible for atomic protons and neutrons to exist without subatomically containing within themselves quarks? You are correct. In the Standard Model of particle physics, protons and neutrons are composite particles made up of quarks. Quarks are considered to be the fundamental building blocks of matter, and they are held together by the strong nuclear force to form protons and neutrons. Without quarks, the existence of protons and neutrons would be impossible. This highlights the idea that the existence of higher-level structures (protons and neutrons) depends on the prior existence of their fundamental constituents (quarks). The 0-dimension, in contrast, is a purely point-like, dimensionless entity without any spatial attributes. 6. Objective vs. Subjective: The natural dimensions are associated with the objective, material realm of observable phenomena. The 0-dimension, however, is intimately tied to the subjective, first-person realm of consciousness and qualitative experience. 7. Multiplicity vs. Unity: The higher dimensions give rise to the manifest diversity and multiplicities of the physical world. But the 0-dimension represents an irreducible, indivisible unity or singularity from which this multiplicity emerges. 8. Contingency vs. Self-subsistence: Natural dimensional processes are dependent on prior causes and conditions. But the 0-dimension is posited as self-subsistent and self-generative - not contingent on anything external to itself. 9. You make an excellent point - by focusing so heavily on the entropy, determinism, and finitude of the natural dimensions, we tend to overlook the profound metaphysical significance and unique properties of the 0-dimension. Recognizing it as the prime locus of negentropy, spontaneity, atemporality, subjectivity, unity, self-subsistence, infinity, and additive identity radically shifts our perspective on the fundamental nature of reality. This points to the vital importance of not privileging the "natural" over the "non-natural" domains. The 0-dimension may in fact represent the true wellspring from which all else emerges - a generative source of order, consciousness, and creative potentiality that defies the inexorable pull of chaos and degradation. Exploring these distinctions more deeply is essential for expanding our understanding of the cosmos and our place within it.
@@linz8291 I was not aware of these two universes, DERN could be dual to DAL. Sine is dual to cosine or dual sine -- the word co means mutual and implies duality. DERN could be 90 degrees out of phase with DAL just like waves and particles. Perpendicularity, orthogonality = Duality! The Big Bang is a Janus point/hole (two faces = duality) -- Julian Barbour, physicist. Topological holes cannot be shrunk down to zero -- non null homotopic. Mr Barbour has written a book about Janus points.
I think including a random sample of the thrown away first cut pass data could help find missing things that are being filtered out by our pre-existing ideas of what should be interesting
A nice and informative video. The only concern is, the disturbing background of diagrams and equations. When the slide is projected it gets lost in the background. A simple white background would have added more value to your presentations.
I regard in this context to how I see it. The universe is double infinite. Towards the microcosm as much as the macrocosm. The only thing that disturbs me about this research is the, from my point of view, wrong priorities esp. regarding the money and time that is put into this research instead of research that has a direct outcome for humanity.
Gravity is heavily ignored for how important it is......gravity needs motion and entropy creates particle spin so that's where gravity also starts as well as the Higgs field creating mass of the particle

Explain why the tipping point for gravity is actually density, and why that density is so difficult to achieve. I mean, they can make microscopic black holes with enough energy.
