If I ask a serious question here, can I expect a serious answer? If our universe is just one of many then would the gravity from all the other universes around ours exert a pull on our galaxies. Would this possibly explain dark energy?

You could@@davids9522 have fooled me. It holds the Earth and every other orb together. It created the stars and planets from random atoms. How does it do that without being a force? In a potential big crunch, it could pull all the matter in the universe into a ball the size of a cannonball. Imagine that, all the matter in the universe in a six-inch diameter ball. I would call that force majeure if ever there was one.

The biggest (only?) hurdle is assuming gravity to be an attractive force. It can be seen rather as the dissipative force of the elastic solid of spacetime or dark energy as it resists the compressive forces due to quantization after a large perturbation (see Padmanabhan (2004) for an example of ‘elastic solid’ spacetime being equivalent to Einstein’s general relativity calculations). Scientists are already exploring the ‘repulsive’ forces they are attributing to dark energy (elastic solid spacetime in this view). Why not extend that ‘repulsiveness’ to dissipative gravity rather than assuming opposing forces? Gravity only appears to be attractive due to the conservation of energy as spacetime is pulling everything apart while the strong force and aspects of electromagnetism keeps quantized matter in balanced, ‘bounded’ systems. This dissipative gravity and its amplified cousin, the weak force, along with the symmetric dissipation of the Higgs field and dark is the physical sources of entropy. So along with the assumption of special relativity, the energy of the strong force with relatively minor contributive forces of electromagnetism is symmetric with the dissipative forces of electromagnetism, gravity, the weak force, the Higgs field, the dark ‘matter’ field, and the cosmological constant. With this view there is no longer a need to assume singularities, extra dimensions, and a number of other mathematical artifacts that arise due to the current theories, gravity is easily reconciled with the other forces, and everything at every scale is a dissipative system, including people-a complex system of embedded dissipative systems ensembles. Elegant. Beautiful.

Great discussion. I enjoyed hearing about the relationship between lensing and clumps/patterns/formations. Like patterns between a triangle of different galaxies. It appears dark energy is both in and out, like what is observed on the quantum level, in terms of interactions. Is there a theoretical framework which can perhaps explore the inter-dimensional qualities of the large scale? Judging from looking down at earth from that scale, that pale blue dot is Small with a capital S. Perhaps because of the distance, large scale features behave in unusual manners. I wonder if the realm of celestial holography is developing language as such.
Also, I love the comic strips condensing really dense and abstract material. People of all ages could appreciate a somewhat ‘out there’ topic, to most, in a friendly format. It also describes a sort of scientific method for this work. One which can apply to daily life itself. Like trial and error and unexpected results.
Your work in women in science and also developing support for researchers is pretty cool.

String Theory was not a waste of time. Geometry is the key to Math and Physics.
What if we describe subatomic particles as spatial curvature, instead of trying to describe General Relativity as being mediated by particles?
Quantum Entangled Twisted Tubules: "A theory that you can't explain to a bartender is probably no damn good." Ernest Rutherford
The following is meant to be a generalized framework for an extension of Kaluza-Klein Theory. Does it agree with the “Twistor Theory” of Roger Penrose? During the early history of mankind, the twisting of fibers was used to produce thread, and this thread was used to produce fabrics. The twist of the thread is locked up within these fabrics. Is matter made up of twisted 3D-4D structures which store spatial curvature that we describe as “particles"? Are the twist cycles the "quanta" of Quantum Mechanics?
When we draw a sine wave on a blackboard, we are representing spatial curvature. Does a photon transfer spatial curvature from one location to another? Wrap a piece of wire around a pencil and it can produce a 3D coil of wire, much like a spring. When viewed from the side it can look like a two-dimensional sine wave. You could coil the wire with either a right-hand twist, or with a left-hand twist. Could Planck's Constant be proportional to the twist cycles. A photon with a higher frequency has more energy. ( E=hf, More spatial curvature as the frequency increases = more Energy ). What if gluons are actually made up of these twisted tubes which become entangled with other tubes to produce quarks. (In the same way twisted electrical extension cords can become entangled.) Therefore, the gluons are a part of the quarks. Quarks cannot exist without gluons, and vice-versa. Mesons are made up of two entangled tubes (Quarks/Gluons), while protons and neutrons would be made up of three entangled tubes. (Quarks/Gluons) The "Color Force" would be related to the XYZ coordinates (orientation) of entanglement. "Asymptotic Freedom", and "flux tubes" are logically based on this concept. The Dirac “belt trick” also reveals the concept of twist in the ½ spin of subatomic particles. If each twist cycle is proportional to h, we have identified the source of Quantum Mechanics as a consequence twist cycle geometry.
Modern physicists say the Strong Force is mediated by a constant exchange of Mesons. The diagrams produced by some modern physicists actually represent the Strong Force like a spring connecting the two quarks. Asymptotic Freedom acts like real springs. Their drawing is actually more correct than their theory and matches perfectly to what I am saying in this model. You cannot separate the Gluons from the Quarks because they are a part of the same thing. The Quarks are the places where the Gluons are entangled with each other.
Neutrinos would be made up of a twisted torus (like a twisted donut) within this model. The twist in the torus can either be Right-Hand or Left-Hand. Some twisted donuts can be larger than others, which can produce three different types of neutrinos. Gravity is a result of a very small curvature imbalance within atoms. (This is why the force of gravity is so small.) Instead of attempting to explain matter as "particles", this concept attempts to explain matter more in the manner of our current understanding of the space-time curvature of gravity. If an electron has qualities of both a particle and a wave, it cannot be either one. It must be something else. Therefore, a "particle" is actually a structure which stores spatial curvature. Can an electron-positron pair (which are made up of opposite directions of twist) annihilate each other by unwinding into each other producing Gamma Ray photons?
Does an electron travel through space like a threaded nut traveling down a threaded rod, with each twist cycle proportional to Planck’s Constant? Does it wind up on one end, while unwinding on the other end? Is this related to the Higgs field? Does this help explain the strange ½ spin of many subatomic particles? Does the 720 degree rotation of a 1/2 spin particle require at least one extra dimension?
Alpha decay occurs when the two protons and two neutrons (which are bound together by entangled tubes), become un-entangled from the rest of the nucleons
. Beta decay occurs when the tube of a down quark/gluon in a neutron becomes overtwisted and breaks producing a twisted torus (neutrino) and an up quark, and the ejected electron. The phenomenon of Supercoiling involving twist and writhe cycles may reveal how overtwisted quarks can produce these new particles. The conversion of twists into writhes, and vice-versa, is an interesting process.
Gamma photons are produced when a tube unwinds producing electromagnetic waves.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Within this model a black hole could represent a quantum of gravity, because it is one cycle of spatial gravitational curvature. Therefore, instead of a graviton being a subatomic particle it could be considered to be a black hole. The overall gravitational attraction would be caused by a very tiny curvature imbalance within atoms. We know there is an unequal distribution of electrical charge within each atom because the positive charge is concentrated within the nucleus, even though the overall electrical charge of the atom is balanced by equal positive and negative charge.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
In this model Alpha equals the compactification ratio within the twistor cone, which is approximately 1/137.
1= Hypertubule diameter at 4D interface
137= Cone’s larger end diameter at 3D interface where the photons are absorbed or emitted.
The 4D twisted Hypertubule gets longer or shorter as twisting or untwisting occurs. (720 degrees per twist cycle.)
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
How many neutrinos are left over from the Big Bang? They have a small mass, but they could be very large in number. Could this help explain Dark Matter?
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Why did Paul Dirac use the twist in a belt to help explain particle spin? Is Dirac’s belt trick related to this model? Is the “Quantum” unit based on twist cycles?
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I started out imagining a subatomic Einstein-Rosen Bridge whose internal surface is twisted with either a Right-Hand twist, or a Left-Hand twist. The model grew out of that simple idea.
I was also trying to imagine a way to stuff the curvature of a 3 D sine wave into subatomic particles.

Great things are done, but my physics career couldn't get past this: "The wheels on the bus go round and round." This song describes everything you see a bus do exactly like math does, but it is not an understanding of a bus. Modern science will actually derive causality and even "laws" from that goofy song. The variables in gravity math are likely incidental, not causal. A cross product turns numbers perpendicular for no particular reason, but that cross product is used a lot, so "why" electricity and magnetism are perpendicular to each other is a question that is totally paved over by the math. Relativity says that if you move your head, the entire Universe INSTANTLY changes shape just for you, and this is pure faith in "TRANSFORM" equations -not to mention making the sequence counter relative and adjustable. If you flip a coin exactly the same way each time, IT IS NOT STATISTICAL ANYMORE. Even basic mechanics uses faulty math. I can show the "CAUSAL" accelerations (not momentum) that cause the gyroscopic effect with new math and no right-hand rule. Think, spin and tilt velocities are perpendicular to each other, so tilting accelerations just steer spin velocity around. One less "law". ruclips.net/video/Sip_9ew2RjA/видео.html

No gravity is not a force, its a space warp... Space just scrunches up when you're around matter. There are OBVIOUSLY scrunched up sections of space out there in the cosmos, its kinda silly to think space would be purely smooth evereywhere... Space just has some pits and bumps here and there, galaxies fall into these natural pits and stay there, spinning around a bit faster than they would otherwise...

    Imagine a smooth dense gas/plasma
Now if a sound wave travels through this dense plasma there will be regions of compression and rarefaction.
In areas of compression there will be more matter that will attract each other and matter in rarefaction region will start accelerating towards the dense region.
This empties out the rarefacted region to a point where the plasma converts to atomic hydrogen and allows light to travel for the first time.
this rarified region between two dense compression region has a point where the net gravity of the compression regions cancel out , but at all other points the net acceleration increases as we go towards the compression region.
So if you are sitting in this rarified region you will see everything going away from you , and the further the object the faster it's accelerating away from you.
The rarified region is so large that you don't see the compressef regions and you call this phenomenon as dark energy.
This would be a simple explanation for dark energy which is probably wrong ....would love to hear from anyone....why I am wrong.
    Thanks for listening to me

There is no invisible matter. There is no imaginary energy. Redshift is light from more massive galaxies that is only slightly blue shifted entering our smaller galaxy. Superluminal motion is not seven times the speed of light. Your measures of time and distance are off. Gravity drops off exponentially the farther from the center of the galaxy it is which correspondingly alters the measures of time and distance. In fact there would be no slowing down of time or contracting distance at all without the mass of matter. The distance in our line of sight between galaxies is not affected much by gravity since there is no matter other than the effects of gravitational lensing where there is matter.

The vacuum energy is a result of black holes dragging in space time. General relativity says that distance isn’t as far the farther away from the influence of gravity that it is as well as time speeding up so that light travels faster so that no dark matter is needed.

In my head spacetime is the Higgs field, gravitational radiation are waves that propagate through the Higgs.
The Higgs is in condensate & as a result repulses everything else.
In the case of unbound energy we call this dark energy, in the case of locally bound energy (matter) we call this gravity. Because the Higgs wants to repel the constituent parts of matter in different directions it can not because they are locally bound, resulting in the Higgs forming pustules of matter (gravity wells).
The surface tension between the Higgs pustule & pure Higgs we currently call Dark Matter.
The period of inflation occurred when the universe had no bound energy (matter) hence the rate of expansion was at its fastest.
The Higgs predates our universe & our universe is expanding into the Higgs, resulting in the ratio of Higgs within our universe is rising, resulting in the acceleration of our universes expansion rate.
    -
I can my theory the Condensate Flare Theory.
    note :-
I suspect in an attempt to maintain its preference for life at ground state, the Higgs has spawned many flares, universes.
Quantum fluctuations & virtual particles is this Higgs repulsion at the smallest scale.

I applaud your common sense reasoning.
You have confirmed what is in my head and expanded my curiosity.
In my limited understanding Michael Faraday , James Maxwell and Nikola Tesla called it Aether. The new names Aether has existed with like Spacetime or the Higgs field, Condensate, or unbound energy, dark energy or Cosmic Constant, or background cumulative gravity, or Quantum Foam or Cosmic background radiation are all descriptive, or measurement on a quality, or on an effect of and by Aether. Mediation of pressure, temperature is principle and the rule.
Bound energy / Light waves propagate/perturbate through unbound energy/ aether at C speed. Pustules /Mass has gravity and energy charge. thus al's equation.
Gravitational Waves propagating through the pure higgs /Aether /unbound energy form tsunamis and rogue waves spiking and forming pustules, thus creating locally bound energy ( electrons and gravity wells/matter) , Because the universe is spinning and everything in it is spinning and orbiting, each higgs particle , proton or an electron, atom up to black holes in Gallexies, each is a dynamo, creating a charged field of influence measured in differences of gravity strength and electromagnetic spectrum wave frequencies. In my head Aether is the universe.

There's a joke I've told before about creating a truly universal system of units. Something that is independent of culture, time, or even star system. Is there some system of units we can define that would be truly universal? Well, we can, the universe itself! Behold, my favorite ridiculous unit system, the Universal System!
First, for mass, we'll have the unit of Universe (mass). A Universe (mass), or Um will equal to the mass of the entire observable universe. Next, length is described by Ul, Universe (length.) Finally, time is described by the unit Universe (time), Ut. This is a length of time equal to the length of time from the Big Bang to the statistical best estimate of when the last black hole evaporates due to Hawking radiation.
So that's it, 3 units, each called a Universe, but labeled individually as Universe (mass), Universe (length), and Universe (time.) It's a truly universal system of units. Someone living a billion light years away or a billion years ago could derive these same units. A truly universal way of describing anything!
Of course, the humor in this is imagining what an absolute nightmare this system would be to use in actual calculations. If the diameter of the entire universe is defined as a unit length, then any calculation involving human-scale objects is going to be wild. Every calculation will have to involve numbers with absurd negative exponents on their SI notation. A human being would approximately 2e-27 Universes in height! The typical human would have a mass around 5e-52 Universes in mass. And things only get more cumbersome as your start using units that involve combinations of mass, length, time, etc. It's just so wonderfully absurd! It turns out you can create a truly objective, universal system of measurement, but only by making it completely impossible to be of any practical use whatsoever!

There is a new experiment being built to measure the vacuum energy pressure, if you will, through the kasimir effect. This cosmological constant seems like it would be constant. this brings into question the concept of the universe being a closed system. the rate of change of the acceleration of the expansion of the universe itself should be accelerating, I.e. the Hubble constant is not constant, if the ratio of dark energy to matter density continues to increase. This should be something we can observe looking back through time. Dark matter is only inferred through gravitational effects, it doesn't interact through electromagnetic and nuclear forces. If the kasimir effect shows the vacuum energy pressure balances the gravitational attraction then its no longer dark. Ligo is measuring gravitational waves. So if colliding black holes creates a momentary spike that travels outward ... that would have to mean that there is a massive instant increase in mass density which exponentially increases gravitational attractions. and what we should expect is that we are pulled closer, ligo needs a string of detectors in each direction in order to determine this. Will the kasimir experiment also notice an effect? ... matter and antimatter annihilate completely into energy ala e=mc^2. There is recent experimemt that turned massless photon into matter. ... need to see the math

I love science but if we cant even know with total certainty what are planets in our system made of I cant possibly expect to get an experiment , that is during my lifetime at least, that fully describes how and why spacetime behaves like it does. My intuition tells me spacetime is a fluidlike 3d environment only bent by enormous forces and that black holes and maybe other dark entities we cant detect are dwells that penetrate 3d spacetime to reach 4d enviroments or maybe other universes. The idea we may exist at the "bottom" of a dark hole does seem plausible to me. How and when we will have the technology to test and have certainty of those areas is unknown.

Purely a layman question: Dark Matter: Would not reflection on the properties involved in what reflects/propagates light (emissions of radiations from tangible atoms) give clues to what would not return the energy of radiations received? What would excuse/absorb (?) radiant energy, but accept/cause space curvature?

This has been going on since the rotation curve excess velocities were noted.
In general, things exibiting mass that don’t readily interact via EM waves are proposed, and then astronomers and particle physicists go looking for them...and fail to find them.
      Candidates have ranged from:
Cold neutral Hydrogen in its ground state.
Black holes in a variety of mass/population ratios.
Particles with mass, known or proposed, that don’t readily interact via EM such as neutrinos, axions, supersymmetric particles, and more exotic things.
One of the current theoretical candidates that hasn't been shot down yet is a superfluid Bose-Einstein condensate of primordial axions (yet to be detected particle).

That assumes conservation of energy, which is not true on large scales. For example dark energy is assumed to have constant density. The more universe expands, the more dark energy is out there. So, in principle, you can get out more energy, than you have put it.
Of course the needed scales are so vast and the amount of excess energy so little, that's unlikely to ever be exploited

When thinking of dark energy we should go back to the original observations and consider an alternative explanation.
We have an expectation of a recession velocity increasing uniformly with distance. What was observed is that distant galaxies had a recession velocity lower than expected.
Then we used the cosmological principle to conclude that the rate of expansion of the universe was slower in the past.
There is another explanation in that the variation in recession velocity is truly a variation with distance.

IMO, Dark Matter and Dark Energy are both forms of unfolded Matter. Dark Energy is simply a manifestation of a greater unfolding of that matter. This is all in the MTS equation where M = mass or matter, T = Time or rates of motion/forward and reverse vector time from 0 mph to "c" and from "c" back to zero mph. "S" is the various densities of Space. At "0" mph, a black hole exists, At "c', matter unfolds all the way to Dark Energy. In CIG Theory, the famous equation E=mc2 is interpreted as the "E" being the various densities of new spatial volumes, m is still m, and the c2 is 0 to "c" and "c" back to 0 (c,c or c2 ). MTS contemplates all rates of motion, all matter, and all space, essentially all the fundamentals in one equation. Try CIG Theory.
