Man I love, and have loved this shows for decades now. Thank you for keeping out wild world relevant online. We all need it, and nature, more than we know. 🙏🏼
Just awesome, inspiring, so many creatures remain together, seem to be in balance and the wolves, the wood bison and beaver returned, seems stunning. Recognized at least 2 of Bela Bartok's 6 Romanian dances played in the background wonderfully😊.
Such a beautiful, ancient, and mysterious place. I love the voice of the narrator. The opening sequence with the quote from Dracula was a chef kiss.😘💕🙏🦇
I enjoy Mr. Irons voice with the video....very clear and soothing, keeps the show interesting. Some Narrators can be annoying, but Mr. Irons voice blends wonderfully with the amazingly beautiful content.
A wonderful world of wonder (if we stay out of Nature's way & simply live beside her). Thank you PBS! I happily give you $5 each month (& enjoy passport privileges).
Tricky, tricky putting "Dracula" into the title. But then it IS a nature channel so I guess it's my fault for falling for it & expecting the documentary to be about Dracula. 🤦♀️🤣
I mean, it's Halloween so 🤷🏽♀️ And they started off with a quote from "Dracula." Given it's PBS Nature and it was titled "Dracula's Hidden Kingdom" I knew we were going to talk about Transylvania and the Carpathian's nature
No mention of Hungarians? Hungarians controlled Transylvania for 1000 years until 1918, and before them were the Avars (also central Asian), and before them were the Huns. Ethnic Romanians were always a minority in Transylvania until Ceaușescu forced thousands of Romanians from the south to relocate to newly built communist blocks in an effort to dilute the Hungarian and Saxon populations. This effort was similar to China's effort today to relocate thousands of Han Chinese to Tibetan cities to dilute the power of ethnic Tibetans and wipe out the nation over the long term. Overall though it was a beautiful documentary and took amazing effort to get those shots over many months.
I have been to Transylvania 12 times - it's gorgeous !! This documentary is outstanding !!

Wish these were in 4k or at least 1440p.
Jeremy Irons, the voice of Scar, is gonna be narrating this video. The bees in that video scared the hell out of me!
Narrated by Scar himself! 🦁
