- (Legendado em Português) This is the Part 2 of the video that explain you the formula to calculate the sizes of all the parts of a cafe racer motorcycle. This formula is a very useful tool to get the right proportions of your Cafe Racer project. This is what we call as the Divine Proportion.
I looked at these two episodes probably 10 times so far. Great work Racer TV! RESPECT!
dreddrik Thank you for your kind words. I hope this video will be helpful to you in the futureCheers.
RACER TV where did you get the pic with the girl ?
andrx04
Sorry but i really don't remember.
But i think i discovered it when i was looking for images of the new Norton Domiracer, which is the bike in this pic. I hope this help. Cheers.
RACER TV yes it did thnk you ) do you have norton motorcycles in your country ?
andrx04
I think not. There are some old classic Norton's on the road, but they are very rare. And new Norton bikes, even more rare. Cheers.
the best chanel of cafe racer
Sidcley Zacarias Thanks your your kindness and generous words. It is always a pleasure read a comment like yours. Thanks.
The Golden Ratio will give you a very balanced bike. If you offset the design if will feel more aggressive, which can be a good thing. You can divide the grid up infinitely to find it in anything so saying it's there after the fact isn't really so special. It would be more effective to start with the rider's proportions. The measurement's will naturally dictate the design since humans are also defined by the golden ratio. The caster angle should help define the other angles on the bike if you want a more organized look. Alternatively, the angle of the rider's limbs could the starting point. Just some ideas to consider.
GPflashclass Yes, you are right. But when was making this video, i wanted to keep it simple. The main goal was helping cafe racer enthusiasts, about the seat size and shape. But thanks for sharing your comment. Maybe is time to make a part 3 video about this matter. Cheers.
Brilliant work! I've seen a few of your videos now and just wanted to thank you for a fantastic channel. I've just subscribed and look forward to more great videos.
As you have mentioned, you prefer text to speech as you have an accent when you speak English. The voice on this video has so far been the best.
Thank you for taking the time and the effort for us all.
Bravo
I understand how this number can help make the perfect technical project bike. Those others who do think outside the square still come up with beautiful bikes. But this is still very helpful.
A really inspiring video channel (actually AT the hunt of a used 70's Honda CB360G for my Café project) Subscribed and liked every video, keep on the good job!
finnbellFCB Thank you for your kind words, and also for subscribing. Cheers.
I certainly enjoyed all of the examples of the "Golden Ratio" applied to all of your examples. As an aside, big singles make the most beautiful Cafe Racers. The AJS Boy Racer, The BSA Gold Star, The Royal Enfield and the Norton Manx which you included as your last example. Vertical twins also make beautiful Cafe Racers like a Yamaha or Triumph or BSA 650 twin because of the length longitudinally of the engine/transmission combination, similar to the big singles. For anyone interested, a company called Ryca Motors has a wonderful kit to convert a Suzuki Boulevard 40 (650 cc single) into a beautiful Cafe Racer. And boy does it sound Sweeeeet!
Roy Fileger Single cylinder engines(And vertical twins) allow the engine become clean, which helps the look of the bike. Thank you for sharing your tips. Cheers.
thanks for sharing ! can't wait to get my youtube bike project finished !
I have been attentive to your youtube page. Good luck for your project.

Is your comment directed to me?
RACER TV My apologies. Satire is indeed a stretch for some to grasp....

Well, thank God that there are different tastes and perspectives in the world. The most difficult part is respect the differences, even when we don't like or don't understand them. It is just a question of human taste, nothing more than that. Sometimes we understand, and sometimes times we don't.
Fibonacci's! Sounds good to be applied on my bike. You explain it well. Cheers.
mabrur herza Thank you for your comment. I'm glad by helping, and good luck for your project. Cheers.
It's brilliant... I am in the middle of a custom build myself. I guess what the old wise men would say to my build when finished 😅😅
Τέλειο βίντεο πολύ ενημερωτικό. Ευχαριστώ πολύ!!!! RACER TV !!!!!
Best one yet. Love it.
i love that you use the fibonacci set. this set is in everything math is the language of the the universe.
At the beginning, i didn't know how to apply this magic number on a cafe racer bike. But with this video, i think that there is no doubt that this number is realy magic. Thanks for your comment.
Perfect video !
well certainly the driver of the old Jag was able to see and steer better.the field of view was more complete.more data better control.it was a BADASS too.
Amazing!!
speed it up to 1.6 times playback speed , and it improves this video too.
+tom thompson I'm sorry to hear that. As you may noticed, this is an old video. I've been improving a lot since then. Check my recent videos, and you will see that everything is better. Cheers.
i shall as the concept expressed is very very interesting , regards t
Bravo !

Racer tv thumbs up!! Wery educational and usefull.
Slightley weird accent or dialekt is a little iritaiting. :)
No hard feelengs.
+Goran Reljanovic No problem. You are absolutely right. That's why i changed this voice. If you check some of my latest videos, you will find a much better and friendly voice. But i'm glad you liked this video. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
Bollockswise, the wishfull thinking on the E-type Jaguar design saved the theorie.
Sorry, but this can not be considered as a wishful thinking or a theory. Is is a law of nature, and that's exactly why is used by the best designers in the world. But thanks for sharing your opinion.
From now on I will pronounce proportion as "propooooshen" )
ff6790 Lol. That's why i stopped using this voice. It has a strong personality in some words, that can be a little annoying after a while.
nice
Amigo no dejes de subir videos
Very good video. May I ask what program did you used for the voice ?!
Tnx
Thank you. I am really sorry my friend, but unfortunately this is one of those secrets that i can't reveal.
It took me a lot of time and effort to find this robotic voice.
I hope you understand me.
But i can give you a suggestion. Try the Neospeech software with "Hugh" male UK voice, which is also very good. :) Cheers.
RACER TV i totally understand. Tnx for your answer, I will try Hugh with neospeech.
Ha ha, i love it 😅👍💯👍
Proportions is about to do only with length, dut the most important is the curvs that makes an item beautiful, for example moto guzzi thst have right proportions i don't like, also its about to do with personal "taste" think about like women that the curvs of the body or face gives this result.
Mind blowing
Well, I like to say that is more "Opening our minds".
Thanks for your comment.
RACER TV lol
speed up to 1.25 for those of you that want to listen to it at a normal speed
+anon1561 Very well thinking. I know now this robotic voice can be annoying for some people, and your suggestion can help that. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
I do get what anon1561 is saying, absolutely, but clarity, that's what I do love about that robotic voice. I may not want to hear it that way all day long, but for these short videos the clarity is fantastic. :-)
Jerk Johnson
Thank you. It's nice to know it. :) Cheers.
Is this measured in millimeters or what ?
+JOGO Well, the measurements in this video are without scale, which means there are no units related. The main goal was explaining how to apply the formula. Cheers.
This is a Fibo number
He wasn’t kidding when he said he’d refer to it as the “divine proPORtion”
my hand doesn't match the ratio
I'm sorry but IMO this is a very good example of confirmation bias. Eduardo Sampoia posted some good links below to kinda explain why. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This is a nice article as well, from the designer's perspective: www.fastcodesign.com/3044877/the-golden-ratio-designs-biggest-myth
coenijn Well, i'm not going to argue if the Golden ratio is perfect or not. But the fact is that works beautifully in many things, especially in cafe racer seats. I still think that is a great help for all Cafe Racer enthusiasts, who are building a cafe racer bike. But thanks for sharing your opinion. Cheers.
You only see what you are looking for.......
subtitulos es español por favor
Lo siento, pero es muy difícil para mí escribir subtítulos en español. Prueba los subtítulos en portugués, y puedes entender parte del guión. :) Saludos.
Vale lo intentaré.
Sometimes having the right proportions makes for a boring and common design.
1.618 hmmm this has a 18 and 18 divided by 3 is 6, and each division has three 6 which makes a 6+6+6
now we are left with a 1.6,... a ONE and a 6 which looks like a G for god, does this means...
1.618 = one.god666?
NAHHH! just kidding, i learned a lot from the video though thnx
+delcastillo1000 :) Thank you. I get always happy by knowing that my videos are helpful. Good luck for your project. Cheers.
RACER TV thnx sure do :)
Great channel but the robot speech makes it hard to watch .
David Middlemas Sorry by that. I recognize that this voice can be annoying for some Viewers. But if you hear my recent videos, you will see that my new "robotic" voice is much better. This is also a very original feature among all others youtube channels. Probably one of the first channels in the world, using a voice that isn't real. Thanks for sharing your comment. Cheers.
I like your channel, but this is total bullcrap, you can find ANY number or ratio in ANYTHING if you try hard enough...
Well, i think you are not seeing the main point. What iment about the divine proportion, is the fact that this number or ratio(1.618), always look very good for the majority of people. That's Why it is used for centuries, and still it works beautifully. Cheers.
