Companies Are Learning To FEAR Their Customers Again! Talking To Woke Media A "Lose Lose" Scenario
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 окт 2024
- The reason why our entertainment properties, gaming, TV and movies. Star Wars and countless other franchisees went woke was because their activists convicted companies like Disney that they would destroy them unless they obeyed. It was a fine bluff! But we don't need to bluff, our counter culture has demonstrated it can sink shows like The Acolyte and the media can not save them. At long last the corporations are starting to understand this too, that the future is ours.

We're the Schrödinger's Audience.
Somehow, we're the minority, yet we're somehow big enough to cause games, movies or shows to fail.
Like Godot
Couldn't have put it better myself. We're a reactionary fragment no one takes seriously and dwindling into complete irrelevance - but at the same time, a massive sinister cabal powerful enough to bring down massive franchises backed by megacorps.
Their claim that we are the minority is meant to be a gaslight in order to demoralize us to just "pony up and shut-up!" They actually want US to BECOME the mODeRn auDiEnCe!; To blindly buy their slop without question like good little consumers! It's Marxism 101.
However, that's obviously antithetical to business 101. We the customers are the majority and the woke are the fringe minority. That's why our boycotts work and theirs fail.
Revolutionary 101. The Boogeyman must be scary enough to give the tyr ant power, but not so scary that people call for new leadership and panic.
Games live by the grace of gamers.
Dear Industry:
The economic beatings will continue until product and behavior improves.
Sincerely- the majority of the fandom.
Yet FOSS will stay woke
It used to be that you would roll your eyes and it was a moment of cringe that you could ignore… now it is all you get cringe on top of cringe on top of cringe.

To quote Sovereign from ME1:
"You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it."
That has to be one of the *coldest* lines in all media.

Harbinger is who you are thinking of, who appeared first in ME2 and its DLC - he is the original Reaper, the first of them.
They haven’t even been brought to heel yet. Once ubisoft is a trophy on the wall _then they will know fear._
tfw I'm only ever going to be interesting in things that are "for me"
If not Ubisoft then some other big company. We need a major scalp like perhaps Disney, EA, Ubisoft, Activision/Blizzard, or some other company that was once a major player. Get Woke, Go Broke is absolute and a lot of these companies are barreling straight for the Broke stage. We need one of them to file for Chapter 11 and once that happens, we'll have that scalp and we can use it as an example of what happens to companies that embrace wokeness.
And same with LucasFilms.
As soon as Kathleen Kennedy becomes jobless, then they'll learn why you should never cross the line.

It's hilarious how quickly corpos are going from making excuses for why they "can't" give us what we want, to suddenly being able to give us what we want and begging us to give them another chance.
They've done a similar flip before from forcing Nier to be middle aged in the west & banning Elizabeth from being on the cover of bioshock infinite cause "old white guys is what sells"

Reminds me of a quote where a good man is not a harmless man.
We tried to tell them in good faith that we didn't like what they were doing with our beloved IPs. They started calling us names instead of listening to us. So this is the response they signed up for. You get what you give. These companies wanna throw hate at us, we'll throw it right back and not buy their crap.
Throw it back five fold.
The relationship between consumers and companies is fundamentally rooted in mutual respect and understanding. When corporations fail to listen to their customers-particularly regarding beloved intellectual properties-they create a rift that is detrimental to both parties. The name-calling and dismissive attitudes of corporate entities towards their consumer base reflect a serious misunderstanding of the market’s foundational principles.
In the realm of economics, consumer preferences dictate the success or failure of products and services. When firms choose to ignore these preferences, they not only risk alienating their loyal customers but also undermine the very principles that sustain their operations. The response from consumers, characterized by a refusal to purchase products that no longer align with their values or expectations, is a natural and justified reaction.
This situation illustrates the concept of reciprocity in human interactions, where "you get what you give" holds true. If companies choose to engage with their customers disrespectfully, they cannot expect goodwill in return. Instead, consumers wield the power of their purchasing decisions as a form of protest against corporate arrogance.
Ultimately, this dynamic serves as a reminder that the market is a two-way street. Corporations must learn to engage constructively with their customers and recognize that their survival hinges on consumer satisfaction. Ignoring this reality can lead to their downfall, as consumers will always seek alternatives that respect their values and preferences. In the end, it is through this process of feedback and adaptation that a healthy market economy thrives.
Money always speaks louder than words with corpos...
"People suffer what they tolerate." Terran Morale Officer Handbook.
Why else do you think that "Tolerance" has been such a cultish pursuit by these people the last few decades. Teaching people to 'put up with' things they otherwise know they don't want or need... a great way for the powers-that-be to be able to force more and more intolerable stuff onto us
Tolerance ia a virtue of a dying civilization

The original version of Harry Selfridge's often bastardized quote applies to this.
"The customer is always right, in matters of taste."
Hollywoke and most of California need to remember the long lost lesson that even media they are personally incensed about, if it is what the PAYING CUSTOMER wants then that's what you make. "Good faith dissatisfaction" That is the absolute corporate speak for 'oh, these people are unhappy but still going to mindlessly consume our product'.
The geeks/nerds are the ones that keep these customers alive. There's a reason why the insult of "I pray your favorite hobby goes mainstream" is starting to pick up among geeks/nerds these days.
It only works for so long. Look at how non-existent American comic book sales are compared to Manga. So of course they use their Jew money to buy an Anime studio to try to ruin that as well.
its not corporate speak its woke speak. Learn their words

"bad faith"
"grifter"
All words sued by woke loons. If these words are uttered, that person is woke and the institution is captured.
They make a some made up combo of words which sounds like has some basis but is totally means nothing make common man says fancy.
Good faith dissatisfaction was the first thing people tried. They bought the product, they didn't like it, they told the company what they didn't like, and they were called istaphobes.
Then they created another product, and people also bought and disliked that product, and again, tried to voice their honest feelings. They were again called istaphobes.
The left and the wokist does not engage in good faith arguments. They don't engage in argumentation at all, unless that argument somehow results in them accumulating more cultural and political power. Any other "argument" they have is outright communist propagand or pure propagandistic platitudes that they have never critically examined in their lives.
@@aa-yt7wo Why do think this even matters? The Japanese anime and manga market isn't an unhealthy and corrupt western duopoly. There is actual competition and meritocracy where the customer is still king. If "they" buy an anime studio it will simply collapse, because it's a healthy market with savvy customers, not mindless consumers, which cannot be forced to consume unpopular Californian political drek.

Unfortunately so many people still buying Warhammer and subbing to Warhammer + despite all their woke bullshit and anti consumerism. GW needs their bud light moment in the sun.
The problem with GW is their sales model expects attrition, they constantly recruit new customers to replace the ones who leave the hobby or swap to 3rd party because of the woke BS, the endless price hikes, their awful community relations or because some new badly scribbled together rule set by an intern has at the stroke of a key rendered thousands of dollars/pounds/Euros of investment in mini's absolutely worthless. Do they not realize they are absolutely not essential in any way? I have a backlog of video games to play, I dont need any more games for a long time, and I dont mind starving them out. I'm currently playing snowrunner and I'm loving it. The latest dlc comes with two huge maps and four new vehicles and more things to do than you could cram into one weekend, costing a grand $7.00. Back in 90s a show would not make it to live television unless it was breaking test audience expectations. Remember Tv Pilot Mondays? When on the off season networks would test out shows and if they got massive ratings they would get a spot in the coming season. Remember the test half hour of TGIF? they would save test shows at the end of the program block for new shows, and if ratings dipped they would get replaced by next week. American Television used to use a harsher version of the Weekly Shounen Jump method.

13:31 Here's a great example of the entertainment being better in 1995. I recently looked up the scene where Scar is introduced in The Lion King to show someone an example of what a "sneering tone" looks like. As I was rewatching that scene, it struck just how tightly polished it was. Every line, both from the words spoken and the intonation, immediately characterized the characters. The dialogue was very natural as well - no awkward exposition dumps, it just literally cuts from the title screen to scar monologuing and then trading barbs with Zazu.
It also immediately sets up the core premise driving the conflict - Scar's jealousy of his brother and nephew. And it's all done very subtly and naturally.
I remember enjoying the movie as a child, but I hadn't really gone back as an adult to witness just how well executed it was.
It won awards for a reason.
Free market is ALL that matters, studios are over-complicating things. Find out what the people want and give it to them, 0 politics and ideology involved.
Yup the legacy media is powerless now, places like Epic game store is losing because they proudly display reviews from game journalist instead of users review like Steam.
Now let's take this lesson and apply it to our governments.
ALL government, just to clarify. In basically EVERY government.
I'm gonna say it, Jefferson was WRONG when he said that. Look at Donald Trump. Do you think he fears MAGA? Absolutely not. We - they - are his loyal subjects who follow his lead because he's demonstrated his capability. He fears the ones who want him down in the ground - and he FIGHTS the ones he fears.
If your government only refuses to tyrannise you out of FEAR, you need a new government. The governments we should strive for are ones who would not tyrannise us, even if we were rendered powerless to stop them. An ideal that cannot always be realised, but the one we should strive for.
