We're The Millers Movie Description:
Small-time pot dealer David (Jason Sudeikis) learns the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished; trying to help some teens, he is jumped by thugs and loses his cash and stash. Now, David's in big debt to his supplier and -- to wipe the slate clean -- he must go to Mexico to pick up the guy's latest shipment. To accomplish his mission, Dave devises a foolproof plan: He packs a fake family into a huge RV and heads south of the border for a wild weekend that is sure to end with a bang.
We're the Millers is a 2013 American crime comedy film directed by Rawson M. Thurber and starring Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter, Nick Offerman, Kathryn Hahn, Molly Quinn, and Ed Helms. The film's screenplay was written by Bob Fisher, Steve Faber, Sean Anders, and John Morris, based on a story by Fisher and Faber. The plot follows a small-time pot dealer (Sudeikis) who convinces his neighbors to help him by pretending to be his family, in order to smuggle drugs from Mexico into the United States.
The film was released on August 7, 2013, by New Line Cinema through Warner Bros. Pictures. Despite mixed reviews, it was a box office success, grossing $270 million worldwide against a $37 million budget during its theatrical run. It was nominated for four People's Choice Awards, and six MTV Movie Awards, winning two.

It sucks they cancelled the Sequel to this movie, as Jennifer Aniston said in an interview while promoting Murder Mystery 2 that the film has been scrapped as Jason Sudeikis is too busy working on Ted Lasso, Emma Roberts is working on AMERICAN HORROR STORY and Will Poulter is working on the MCU.

@bakedmomo5693 We still got him as Sherlock for Guy Ritchie's take on the character. For a 3rd film from him, it shouldn't be too hard to get it made. As for 'We're the Millers 2', I definitely would've gotten it done 2 yrs after the original. Doing 1 now probably could work if it's a mix of family film parodies in particular those focusing on the kids leaving the nest seeing that Will Poulter and Emma Roberts' characters would probably have their own families to create.

This is the movie that cemented Will Poulter as being called "Eyebrows" for the rest of his life. They have a life of their own.
Also, this is one of those comedies that actually makes you laugh out loud, I've watched this so many times, but it never gets old.

When he made the reference to Marky Mark, Marky Mark is Mark Wahlberg. Marky Mark & The funky Bunch was his hip hop group in the 90s. Prior to that he was a part of the group New Kids on the Block with his brother Donnie for their first year or so in the 1980s.
Donnie is a way way better actor than Mark but Mark gets all the big parts.

The director of this movie, Rawson Marshall Thurber, also went on to direct Skyscraper (2018) and Red Notice (2021). A step down as a director? Yes, and no! Yes, because Skyscraper (2018) and Red Notice (2021) are largely considered to be painfully average! However, remember the time "We're The Millers (2013)" was released! It was between Horrible Bosses (2011) and Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) both with Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston. Also only a couple months after Jason Bateman's movie Identity Thief (2013), Jason Bateman of course costarring with them in the Horrible Bosses movies. What I'm saying is, even this movie exists for obvious reasons, to bank on the stars attached to them! Difference is, the execution seems to please more people (who actually saw it).
