This was my mother’s favorite song. She passed in 2011. When I hear this song, I can see her in the kitchen singing along. It make tears run down my face as well. So beautiful.
Believe every word of this song my baby girl. Imagine The music and words being your grandma's arms wrapping around you and holding you up. The sun is still in the sky and shining above you. Rays from heaven beaming down . The warmth of your Grandma to remind you she's still close buy watching over you. Hugs and best wishes from a First Nation man from British Columbia, Canada🇨🇦 One of ABBA's huggest fan. Chiquitita is my MOST FAVORITE.
It's okay... I cry too, with many of ABBA songs. I'm 52 years old, I was 7 years old in 1978 when I first heard ABBA and I haven't stopped since. It's just that the older I get, the more all these songs seem to me more nostalgic...
Impossible not to cry and fall in love with you when you react on Chiquitita...😭🥰 It's a masterpiece and sooooo emotional! I'm sure your grandma is watching from heaven 🧚♀️💫💕
Hey Mo, you have no reason to worry about the tears, you are full of the right feelings for your grandma, you now have the perfect song now to remember her by, much love babygirl xx
Hi, share your loving tears with your grandma, offer them to her and pray for her. Thank you for your true reaction! God bless you and may God embrace your grandma and wipe all her tears.
This song is absolute perfection but I had the same reaction to the outro that you did as an 8-year boy. I'm not sure I've ever heard a more beautiful expression of joy and release in any other piece of music. A stunning, timeless piece of art!
I was lucky enough to have witnessed ABBA in the 70's with so many hit songs in the top ten and 50 years later they are still being played.. such a great band
As someone who also cries with this song (Chiquitita) I can say that I absolutely loved your reaction! Thank you. It touched me. Sometimes you just need to cry.
Please don't apologize for shedding such beautiful tears. It's never easy when we lose someone so special. I had one grandma and one grandpa when I was growing up. Losing them was so very hard. Now, today, I am the only grandpa that my 4 lovely, wonderful grandchildren have.
Rick Beato did an interview with Björn Ulvaeus last week. Go look it up, fantastic talk about how these songs were crafted. The voices of the girls and the genius of Benny and Björn are still giving us so much today and for the forseable future.
Mo, your grandma will always be with you. This song is a bridge to her. Embrace it and remember her. With much live and appreciation from Virginia USA.
I'm very sorry to hear about your grandma. She will never forget you and will always be with you. Don't be surprised when you feel her watching over you, Thank you Morenikeji for being you.
I've never seen anyone reacting so emotional on these two ABBA songs but when you think of your grandmother at the same time it's very understandable of course. I miss mine too...still....even after more than 23 years. She was my mother's mother and a very special and intelligent woman. Big hug from me, babygirl🤗😙

"S.O.S." is my favourite ABBA song of all times, 'The Masterpiece' for excellence between more ABBA masterpieces "S.O.S." The transitions from the dramatic opening (a dingy piano and a cracking voice of the blonde singerAgnetha) to a powerful rock beat with catchy pop chorus in the middle are brilliant ABBA marked an era in many ways One was the musical leadership of its beautiful and lofty female vocalists as the center of attention Another was the use of contrasts, such as sad lyrics with catchy melodies and harmonies And their recording tecnique "wall of sound" gives ABBA more powerfull ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, left an unforgettable mark on several generations It is good music that lasts and stays alive and well

For those of us who lived through the 70s and 80s, Abba was something special.

I am Irish, and I can honestly say, ABBA the best group that ever was.
@williammoffett1382 : And Ireland showed it. Chiquitita reached No 1 in Ireland, but only No 2 in the UK.
