Thank you so much for this video series. Watching these have given my a great deal more confidence in my next proposed build coming from open pilot to naze as well as cleanflight and additional items to my quad. Mysteries and clouded perceptions are cleared up nicely with your help. GREAT JOB! Thanks again.
I'm a total noob, just assembled two quadcopters ZMR-250 + Robocat, one on SPRacing and one on NAZE32, been able to fly them at scary speeds, and didn't know why they would not hover! I need the drones to mount sensors and do some environmental monitoring, imagine my disappointment seeing them race like that. Thanks for this great tutorial, now things are getting clearer.
These videos are excellent, i have just built a quad with help from the vids, I used a spare syma x8 frame and fitted all the hardware in, had it flying this morning, just GPS and LED's to fit. Specs are, Naze32 10 DOF, 2212 950kv motors, 20A SimonK ESC's, Bluetooth, 9450 Props, Flysky 10 ch PPM. New to the hobby but hooked completely, many thanks!!
Fantastic series! Very clear information. Thanks for taking the time to add the diagrams and "white board" material. Nice, easy to digest video length too.
This is a great series. Thanks so much. Incidentally, if you were looking for more to do on the Naze32, it would be great to have a run-down of what all the flashing LEDs mean. You can get this info if your trawl around the forums, but no one has all of the information in one place. A short video on what all the different "codes" mean would be awesome if you have time. Again, much thanks from me.
Another great Video. Looking forward to setting up my ZMR250 with all the tech you gave us in the Series. I have the OSD, GPS and Naze 32 configured and waiting for the Video camera hardware before I start to overhaul the ZR. Working on the tri now with the APM 2.6 which is really exciting.
I think you have done an amazing job with all the videos. I just got me a Flip 32 or the cheap version and I will do most of the settings you applied on your videos. Thanks again H
Oh and by the way I learn sooo much about all the flight modes I didn't understood before with the regular naze 32 when I installed it . Also cleanflight is more user friendly than baseflight . thanks for making these videos Mr Painless 360
Brill series so far. This has become my bible on setting up the naze. Thanks. Was wondering will clean flight do gimbal control. Was thinking it would be useful on my 250 so camera doesn't end up facing floor when going at speed?
No wonder my first flight with a quad was a little rough... In advanced mode. The funny thing is I did a perfect front flip before I can even navigate around properly xD that's a nice win for once! Thanks for the help in this series painless.
+Painless360 yeah, I always thought quads and heli's were similar but they are actually very different! I have been having problems with my yaw not working properly.. It sometimes works fine, sometimes works but delayed a sec or so and sometimes does not work at all. I have played around with the Pid settings a bit so hopefully I don't have the problem when I fly again tomorrow
Coming to quads from helis I found the yaw felt very 'mushy'. Increasing the 'rate' value for yaw should help (I'd stay away from the PIDs for this) . Best of luck!
Fantastic series of videos. Thanks for taking the time to make these. Very clear and easy to follow. How does the GPS work on the Naze32? Any flight videos forthcoming?
There are playlists that collect the videos on a topic to make them easier to use, or you can search on my channel - ruclips.net/video/ImFCE-qdOi8/видео.html
thank you for your video series on the Naze32, made setting up my tricopter very easy! I did wonder why in the last video you recommend having 1520ms as centre for the futaba radios? did I miss something along the way?
+Ben Parker Most FC's expect that the centre point of the channel is 1500. Some Futaba radios have the centre as 1520 by default - so you can see the problem ;)
Wonderful video, Thank you for putting this together in the way you do. One question that maybe I missed or was not addressed, what indication do you get when arming to know for sure your GPS home position was locked in by the board? Thank you again, you do great work and I appreciate it for sure.
The red LED is supposed to flash to indicated 3D lock, I'm not convinced myself and make sure I can see the light pulse under the GPS too before take off. I hope an improvement is made in new firmware versions to make this clearer.
I have a question.. Buying a new FC and have my eyes on the full naza32 as the new CC3D is still not out.. Doing some reading I see the Hydra has a new board, Serioulsy Pro.. Would the setup be basically the same being it too is a cleanflight ran board? Which one should I get? I'm plank & heli vet, multirotor newbie.. Lol, thanks again.
Clay Lanier I am talking to Dominic (author of Cleanflight) about getting a new SPRacingF3 FC board to try. Until I've seen it I can't comment. Looking at the manual it does appear to be the same process to flash the FW.. Best of luck.
Awesome Video Series, it just answeared so many questions, even some that i yet were not aware off. Thx a Bunch. Maybe add some Manual PID tuning, but that all i can imagin by now =)
Grearson .x Thanks for the great feedback, the last in the series will be autotune but I am waiting for a 250 class quad frame to arrive to do it with..
Great video! You mention that the barometer should be should be covered in foam or in a case. Do you have a picture of what you mean? I want to make sure I understand exactly how to do this.
In GPS hold mode, will it work similar to NAZA in that when you use pitch and roll to change horizontal coordinates, the GPS hold will adjust and hold the craft at the new coordinates, or will it always return to the original coordinates when the switch was flipped no matter how you control the craft?
Thanks!!! I don't have the full board but this video still helped me understand the primary flight modes. After hearing all the other features I may have to get the full version haha.... Also, Is there a downside in using ppm over pwm? Would i get a more stable signal with pwm? or does it not really matter?
Is there any way to make the Naze32 barometer act DJI like? It would hold altitude automatically at center stick. I guess the only way is programming my Taranis to turn on the Barometer when throttle is around the center position.
Having difficulty setting up ''Head Free'' - as you have explained ( as I understand it ) involves the action of the Mag compass knowing where the Quad is switched on or initiated. So I take off standing behind the Quad with HeadFree mode selected, go forward say 10-20mts spin/yaw 90deg on the spot, then pull back on the Elevator stick ... NOW! ... should the Quad come back to me directly !? Q - by setting up a Headfree mode Sw does this automatically setup the Firmware to perform the task or do I initiate it via the CLI settings. I have a KnightHawk 280 with a Naze32 rev5 ...Joe
Hi what type of foam should i cover my Barometer with (thick like foam in emax motors box or sponge type) many thanks keep up the great work and Merry Christmas
Nice video series, thank you. Anyway, my quad goes crazy when I activate angle mode(violent oscillation). I think Cleanflight's pid controllers have some issues with angle&horizon mode..(maybe only for latest f/w?) It works nice in rate mode though..
+Tyler S. Try another of the PID options - there are several PID implementations in Cleanflight and some work better on some frames/motor combos than others..Best of luck.
hi! u got yourself a new subscriber! thanks for the series, you been a great help! now i dont have to buy realy expencive ready made systems. :) but one stupid question... what do you mean by foam on the barometer and cover it? i dont get it...
Not a silly question at all. You ideally need to cover the barometer sensor with a little piece of some foam/sponge to stop any breeze being read as a change in height. It is best to put the board in a case too.. The barometers on these boards are very sensitive and if you blow on them they read the drop in pressure as a rise in altitude. As there are *loads* of winds/airflow blowing across the sensor in flight this would result in the machine reducing it's height every time you picked up speed. A piece of sponge/foam over it helps stop that happening. Hope this helps.
yeah i see, i get it. actually quite logic. thanks for fast reply. never would have thought about that myself... and again thanks for the vids, nice to have someone got all this info in to one place... are u familiar with sending board info back to a telemetry receiver to? maybe i better go check out all youre vids before asking but yeah... :) guess u dont use telemetry ad all couse u use the osd?
I tend to use the OSD as I use Spektrum radio gear here so can't get an RSSI easily. I will do more when I get round to trying a FrSky system.. Happy flying!
yeah i see, i got a frysky the rssi is why i asked. one more thing... as i could see you put all you speedcontrolers in the board, and dont cut the +5 line from esc 2, 3 and 4? couse in other vids i saw people only connecting 1 esc whit ground power and signal, and the other 3 only ground and signal...so the bord only gets power of 1 esc.. u dont seem to do that right? so it dois not matter? i guess its no problem if all ecs are simular but in electronics... nothing really is right?
Magic I wasn't sure when to use what mode I have trouble with my Baro holding level i will try that foam trick out. I mostly lo like to do a bit of freestyle I use horizon mode for this would you recommend haveing any other mode on to help ie mag? Thanks again.
Hi and thanks for your Vid series, really helpful. I'm hoping you can help with something. I have: Quad Multirotor / Naze32 / Taranis X9D-Plus / Frsky D4R-ii / CleanflightGUI using BetaFlight Firmware. In my first quad I used a basic PDB, Created a wiring harness for my LEDs and just soldered to PDB - LEDs always on when Quad Powered. For my next Quad I'm slowly building I bough a Matek LED and Power Hub 5 in 1 V3. This is a PDB which also includes 4 separate 5V pads for LEDs. Very handy I thought. On receiving and reading docs it says to "Pls use Aux Channel with toggle switch of 3 positions" I've created a switch on Taranis Ch7 comes up as Aux3 in Cleanflight. Now I'm stuck. To where on the Naze do I wire the to RX-Aux 3-pin port on the PDB (Gnd, 5V, Sig) to make this work when I toggle the switch on the Taranis? Hope you can help - Thanks for any assistance you can give me.
+Brian “Mozzzzi” Bloomer One more thing. The Matek PDB-Bec has logic onboard to make lights flash stay on and sound an onboard buzzer, so I don't think I can use the standard Naze/Cleanfilght LED programming as I want the LEDs actioned via a manual switch. The PDB-BEC has a gnd,5v,Signal wires for this. Thanks.
Thanks mate. Appreciate your offer. Even the Banggood Tech support cant help me. I'm thinking that this is only really useful if the Radio Receiver has spare channels that you can plug into whereas the D4R doesn't have that available. All good. If you know any way to get a signal from my Taranis Switch on Ch7/Aux 3 out one of the Naze RC Pins eg 5,6,7 or 8 then I'd love to hear more. Thanks again. Best Regards, Brian.
Does PPM transfer mode info or do we need to use a separate cable receiver to rc inputs on FC board? When using gps hold or rth is mag and baro automatically used or must we enable them on the same switch?
Hello Again ~ Sorry to bother you with this but I've scoured your videos and been unable to resolve my problem ! I've gone through your setting up videos of the Naze 32 board and got my Tx working with everything correct BUT. . . I cannot get my 3 posn switch on my Turnigy 9X working to adjust the flight modes in Clean Flight. I've gone through a couple of other videos where one guy has set it up in Heli mode and used the Pitch Curve which doesn't work for me. I've tried using 3 mix settings and still no joy ! I'm really only interested in Angle mode as a beginner to multi rotor flying and would be quite happy if I could only program this mode as a default ( worst case ). I've set up my V-Tailed Quad and everything seems correct so far but unable to select Angle mode which you advise as good for beginners in another of your videos. Thanks ! Best Regards . . . Eddie.
+Eddie Lloyd Make sure you can see the value of the channel moving to three positions in the monitor screen on the radio - if it's not then that's your problem..
+Painless360 Sorry but this is where I'm getting totally stuck. The manual for the Tx is in Chinglish, very unhelpful, and very misleading ! I'm about ready to jump on the blasted Tx now even though it's new ! I forgot to mention that Hobbyking ( the seller ) couldn't help.
Hi, I have watched this over and over and tried setting up BARO, MAG and HEADFREE with no luck. I have the Naze 32 full board and can see the extended options in base and clean flight. Any chance you can show the configs for these 3 secondary flight modes? I always fly HORIZON by default.
+Painless360 ie if I set headfree with horizon mode the quad flies as it would in Horizonte mode totally ignoring the headfree option. Detto with enabling Baro or Mag. So to get headfree to work what mode settings need to be ticked baseflight for this to work?
I don't use Baseflight but I'd be enabling mag and headfree if I were using it. You don't need to enable mag really as it's already used by the mode. Best of luck with it.
now that more and more software makers are dropping naze32 support (and other F1 boards) mabye its good to make a video for good replacements for the naze32.
+koetjeboe91ph see the dozens of videos made adter this series on the TBS power cube, Betaflight, Seriously pro F3, Neo, and others on the channel as well as the flight controller comparison videos where I cover this. This series is very old now,. Thanks for the idea.
I have a GPS enabled on Cleanfligh, I have GPS 3D fix too... but when I'm trying to enable GPS HOLD or GPS HOME mode the square keeps being grey and not green. What I'm doing wrong? (I tried combinating with BARO, with BARO+ANGLE, and so on... And nothing.
+Antoni Pons Oliver see the Cleanflight docs and our comments throughout this series. GPS modes are experimental. If you want GPS that look at iNav.. Best of luck..
Hoverbot1TV Hi, this is covered briefly in ruclips.net/video/-yiJw1lYCq8/видео.html around 14:12. The Naze32 Series covers a lot, it can be useful to spend time and watch the entire series. Happy flying!
+Carlos Cunha if you're interested in GPS functions then have a look at the iNav series on the Channel. Cleanflight and Betaflight don't have a great GPS implementations so the return to home functionality doesn't work very well at all. Best of luck!
How are you friend, I bought a Drone Racer eachine 250, it already comes complete and with OSD, so I will normally have the indications of height and distance from home and also that arrow indicative of home, using GPS ,? Can you tell me what Flight Options (Modes) to have with Naze 32 and using GPS?
+Carlos Cunha I'd recommend you watching the iNav series now. All of the flight modes are explained in detail in the documentation, so I'd have a look at those first. Best of luck!
How can the Naze32 have so many more features than the Pixhawk when it only costs about 1/4 as much? I always thought it was less capable since it was so much cheaper but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Jake Stecks Thanks for using the playlists - many don't and they are a great way to see all the videos on a subject in one place! Those videos that are shown as private are loaded and waiting for release on the channel. Usually Tuesday for 'Quick Tips' and Friday for the longer videos. The video you mention is actually due for release on the channel tomorrow so you don't have long to wait. Thanks for watching and Happy Flying!
Painless360 Outstanding! I am just delving into this hobby after getting an Ares Spectre X. Looking at building my own and have this flight controller. There is so many things on it, it's nice to find a spot that seems to be centralized. Thank you for these!
Jake Stecks You are starting in the right place. Getting a smaller model to start with and learn on is the way I always recommend to subscribers to start - the crashes are less expensive and the damage done to people and property is a lot less too! My little Hubsan X4 has a lot to answer for (8 multi-rotors and counting!) Once you've mastered it you will want a model that is larger so you can fly it farther and do more, that's when the fun *really* starts! ;) Welcome to multirotors and have a ball with the new model. Happy flying!
Jake Stecks I thought you might like this one - ruclips.net/video/g2GfKiYVVakW/видео.htmlill be out publically next week but I remembered our chat and thought you might like to see it before it's out..
RUclips looks like it's not happy with me porting that web address - once more - github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight/issues/364 Hope that works this time..
+Ijas Ahamed Default PIDs here. You can't take another's PID settings as they are so platform/motor/ESC/setup dependant. If you have stability problems then I'd check other things first (vibration, ESC problems).. Best of luck.
I know 5.8ghz transmitters get warm but today I noticed after my fpv camera was on for a minute or 2 the video would start to go purple n flicker then lose video. but after I took it for a flight it was fine and I know the wind was keeping it cool. is this normal?
Hi friend Do you have information abou the GTUNE mode? I think that AUTOTUNE mode was changed by GTUNE. But I dont have much information about how to use it. Can you help me? Thank you.
In my Cleanflight doesn't have Acro or rate mode !!! So which mode or which Option that i can get into rate mode , i like Flying rate Mode in CC3D opening pilot but In Cleanflight don't know much about it
denmay2005 Recalibrate accelerometers or use the trims on the radio to remove the drift. The quad will not sit in the air completely still, any breeze will push it about..
I'm having an issue with my f3 flight controller. I had Angel and horizon mode saved and it was working on my quad then went to fly my quad and it wasn't there anymore. So I went into cleanflight and did it again and then unplugged it and it was gone. Am I doing something wrong?
I actually fixed it. I was reading on rcgroups that a guy had the same issue and he had replied in the forum that he fixed it by turning off the osd. Now I was having a weird issue with the beeper. When I would give a throttle punch the beeper would beep for a split second, and would beep at odd times when plugged into cleanflight. So I thought let me unsolder the beeper wires and try that. And bam the modes saved. Thank you for your help :)
Nope but that's what you would think. But not every time with a newly charged battery. One thing I have learned with flying these things is any odd thing can be wrong that sounds like it shouldn't be the issue.
can I ask you question? Is there a way to adjust my throttle stick? Ill explain, when I'm using a 4s battery and I try descend and the quad barley wants to come down so I'm trying to lower my throttle to come lower and the throttle gives out cuz I have to bring the throttle stick down so far. Is this normal or I just have to get used to it? it actually made me crash from 20 feet up on concrete, lucky I only broke the fpv cam mount witch ill have a new 1 tomorrow and super fixed it. Thank you!!!!!
really? the return to home is not going to a minimum height before returning home? thats lame... its like it knows everything it hase to know... just need a command before the RTH command starts, to go to 200 m above the saved home coordinates and after that get the command to go back home... how hard can it be to integrate? there hase to be a programmer somewhere that programmed a piece for that allready right? RTH is pretty dangerous in its own, if its ad high alltitude. but if your hoovering 2 meters above the ground and for some reason need to RTH than it will take all small puppys and children in its way with it while it rockets back to you in one strait line? alsow is there a option to set the speed that it will go when RTH? i guess not? how fast will it come back?
i see... dont get me wrong though its an amazing system off course. its just silly they did not consitter... jet... its like a litle bug in a really amazing video game. its still great game but you hope they fix it soon... :) so lets just call it a bug. :)
More of a feature ;) You need to remember that the GPS code is changing fast as it is being rewritten from this version (based on the Multiwii implementation) to a new one with better logic and control, we are all waiting with baited breath. I would recommend you keep an eye on the forums and subscribe to the places that will talk about it. The sticky part, I'm sure, will be the developers getting the new, improved code to fit in the Naze32 available memory. This little board wasn't designed with advanced GPS modes in mind! Happy flying!
Thank you so much for this video series. Watching these have given my a great deal more confidence in my next proposed build coming from open pilot to naze as well as cleanflight and additional items to my quad. Hi. What battery sizes are you using for this setup?
I watched all the eight videos about Naze32 config in a row. Just perfect! Thanks a lot for the effort to put all this material online.
Thanks for the feedback - happy flying!
Best tutorials on Naze 32 & Cleanflight i've seen !! Excellent work !!

are all these modes available for fixed wing or flying wing also?

yeah i see, i got a frysky the rssi is why i asked. one more thing... as i could see you put all you speedcontrolers in the board, and dont cut the +5 line from esc 2, 3 and 4? couse in other vids i saw people only connecting 1 esc whit ground power and signal, and the other 3 only ground and signal...so the bord only gets power of 1 esc.. u dont seem to do that right? so it dois not matter? i guess its no problem if all ecs are simular but in electronics... nothing really is right?
The best thing I can suggest is to watch - ruclips.net/video/AIQOzFlLfJg/видео.html
Best of luck!
Well done thank you
Thank you so much
yea it's the one that came on the quad so I guess it's cheap. Thanks bro!
Magic I wasn't sure when to use what mode I have trouble with my Baro holding level i will try that foam trick out.
I mostly lo like to do a bit of freestyle I use horizon mode for this would you recommend haveing any other mode on to help ie mag? Thanks again.
I would try it without and see how you get on, the modes and how they perform are a very personal preference.
Best of luck with it. Happy flying!
Thanks.
I keep waiting on the "whistle" but it never comes.
Thanks.
+Brian “Mozzzzi” Bloomer One more thing, the LEDs I have are not addressable LEDs, they are simple, LED strips. Thanks
Sorry I've not used it here. Happy to figure it out with you over a one to one call (not free though). Best of luck!
+Painless360 i just noticed that i dont have the autotune mode. why? thanks for all your help..
Does PPM transfer mode info or do we need to use a separate cable receiver to rc inputs on FC board?
When using gps hold or rth is mag and baro automatically used or must we enable them on the same switch?
Vic Prk These questions are answered in this series, start with the second video for the PPM question.
Best of luck..
I forgot to mention that Hobbyking ( the seller ) couldn't help.
www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=59159 best of luck!
Bit of a random question-
Can i use Autotune with GPS hold so it doesn't start wondering off into the distance?
I wouldn't you need the craft to be able to 'feel' the response without any other control loops running..
Hello it say in your video to cover the barometer with foam and a Bix home would I do this on the board? as it's so small? thanks neil
I normally print an enclosure or simple wedge the foam underneath when mounting it to the frame - best of luck!
Hi, I have watched this over and over and tried setting up BARO, MAG and HEADFREE with no luck. I have the Naze 32 full board and can see the extended options in base and clean flight. Any chance you can show the configs for these 3 secondary flight modes? I always fly HORIZON by default.
+Lothar Gores I'm not sure what you mean when you say you can't set them? Can you post a video of the problem?
Much as this series is old can you ideally add a ublox m8n module to a naze32 Afro acro flight controller with bmp 280 barometer?
yes you can at it to the uart 2 pins (3 and 4 on the side where you plug on the receiver).
koetjeboe91ph
And with the gps module to naze 32 acro you can achieve gps hold?
With inav yes
Does anyone know a video with autotune in action ?
I have a GPS enabled on Cleanfligh, I have GPS 3D fix too... but when I'm trying to enable GPS HOLD or GPS HOME mode the square keeps being grey and not green. What I'm doing wrong? (I tried combinating with BARO, with BARO+ANGLE, and so on... And nothing.
+Antoni Pons Oliver see the Cleanflight docs and our comments throughout this series. GPS modes are experimental. If you want GPS that look at iNav.. Best of luck..
I watched to see how to assign modes to switches do you have a part on that?
Hoverbot1TV Hi, this is covered briefly in ruclips.net/video/-yiJw1lYCq8/видео.html around 14:12.
The Naze32 Series covers a lot, it can be useful to spend time and watch the entire series.
Happy flying!
Painless360
Thanks, steep learning curve, long way from freeflight interface.
How's my friend, Blz?
If I use a GPS in a Naze32 10 DOF I can use the RTH function?
What does the GPS Home function mean?
+Steve C You are assuming the GPS modes in the firmware that runs on this board work ;)
The 11th video in this series is private. There anything in there that might be worth noting?
Jake Stecks I thought you might like this one - ruclips.net/video/g2GfKiYVVakW/видео.htmlill be out publically next week but I remembered our chat and thought you might like to see it before it's out..
is there a way to adjust how fast it returns to level in horizon mode?
Yuri Tereshyn Have a look at @364
Looks like the PID controller you are using makes a difference..
Hope it helps.
Painless360 @364?
RUclips looks like it's not happy with me porting that web address - once more - github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight/issues/364
Hope that works this time..
Thanks your videos are great. Thanks for making them.
Painless360 It didnt really help. any other links to get the autolevel in horizone mode to act slower
can you please share your pid settings ? I have a very similar setup but I can't make the quard stabat at all
+Ijas Ahamed Default PIDs here. You can't take another's PID settings as they are so platform/motor/ESC/setup dependant. If you have stability problems then I'd check other things first (vibration, ESC problems).. Best of luck.
Good idea to use BARO and AMg at same time?
+Smac Flyers You can - baro will change how the throttle behaves and MAG will affect how the yaw is handled too. See the docs for more detail
I know 5.8ghz transmitters get warm but today I noticed after my fpv camera was on for a minute or 2 the video would start to go purple n flicker then lose video. but after I took it for a flight it was fine and I know the wind was keeping it cool. is this normal?
Depends on the Vtx, some of the smaller cheaper models do need that airflow to stay cool enough to not have a problem.. Best of luck!
Hi friend Do you have information abou the GTUNE mode? I think that AUTOTUNE mode was changed by GTUNE. But I dont have much information about how to use it. Can you help me? Thank you.
+Juan Carlos Ramírez It's an 'autotune' mode - all covered in the manual ;) github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight/blob/master/docs/Gtune.md
For the arm mode, how do i know whether i can use the traditional way to spin my motor?
not sure what you're asking..
+Painless360 I mean, in the video u mentioned, throttle down, rudder to the right. Right? For the traditional way..
I see! I think once you've set it to arm via a switch then that's the only way it'll work..
+Painless360 okey thanks!!
Is there a way to set a default of angle mode without having to setup a switch?
+DJB HSI Possibly but I would never fly without a mode channel properly setup and working on the radio..
+DJB HSI Create a mode for Angle with the entire range of the channel active.
hi someone ask me if you can mix angle mode and headfree ? to get auto level headfree ?
TriniRCmodels You can mix a number of the modes together - why not try and see if it will let you?
Best of luck.
Can someone advice me, which controller use for jumper218 as a replacement for naze32?
I've had a look at the page for it on the HobbyKing website and am non the wiser. I hope you get is sorted. Best of luck!
In my Cleanflight doesn't have Acro or rate mode !!! So which mode or which Option that i can get into rate mode , i like Flying rate Mode in CC3D opening pilot but In Cleanflight don't know much about it
+piseth008 See 1:58 ;)
+Painless360 so you Mean I have To select The Angle Combo with Hirizon , That become Rate mode ? Or Just select One of them ?
+piseth008 When no other primary mode is selected, acro mode will be activated. So when you don't choose angle or horizon, you will be in acro.
Nope, exactly as iemandsanders and I have said - when no other mode is selected it's RATE mode. Best of luck!
+Painless360 huh !!!! That Cool ... Ok Thanks You very much I understand Now !!!
nice video! question i have a naze32 acro I'm not using gps but my mini quad drifting to the left please help me how fix it ..thanks you!
denmay2005 Recalibrate accelerometers or use the trims on the radio to remove the drift. The quad will not sit in the air completely still, any breeze will push it about..
thank you so much for the reply! but i been tried calibrate the accelerometers and trim on the radio but still having the drifting..
Then you need to re-check everything and make sure the COG is spot on..
Best of luck.
sorry stupid question what is COG? is spot on? sorry I'm new with this!
Centre of Gravity. The model needs to be balanced.
I'm having an issue with my f3 flight controller. I had Angel and horizon mode saved and it was working on my quad then went to fly my quad and it wasn't there anymore. So I went into cleanflight and did it again and then unplugged it and it was gone. Am I doing something wrong?
So long as you hit save then it should remember - watch how we setup the modes in the Naze32 and SP3 series.. Best of luck!
Sounds like the low battery alarm going off to me... vBat settings?
How Many DOF Does Your Board Have?
+Carlos Cunha 10
Hi painless360
Please do the openpilot cc3d from getfpv next
Love your vids
DJminecraftmayhem ruclips.net/video/SkUnntu_m14/видео.html
really? the return to home is not going to a minimum height before returning home? thats lame... its like it knows everything it hase to know... just need a command before the RTH command starts, to go to 200 m above the saved home coordinates and after that get the command to go back home... how hard can it be to integrate? there hase to be a programmer somewhere that programmed a piece for that allready right? RTH is pretty dangerous in its own, if its ad high alltitude. but if your hoovering 2 meters above the ground and for some reason need to RTH than it will take all small puppys and children in its way with it while it rockets back to you in one strait line? alsow is there a option to set the speed that it will go when RTH? i guess not? how fast will it come back?
Hi Jelle, I agree it isn't ideal - yet! No timeframe on when/if this will be added to the function so we all have to wait and see...
Happy flying!
i see... dont get me wrong though its an amazing system off course. its just silly they did not consitter... jet... its like a litle bug in a really amazing video game. its still great game but you hope they fix it soon... :) so lets just call it a bug. :)
More of a feature ;)
You need to remember that the GPS code is changing fast as it is being rewritten from this version (based on the Multiwii implementation) to a new one with better logic and control, we are all waiting with baited breath. I would recommend you keep an eye on the forums and subscribe to the places that will talk about it.
The sticky part, I'm sure, will be the developers getting the new, improved code to fit in the Naze32 available memory. This little board wasn't designed with advanced GPS modes in mind!
Happy flying!
