Getting the coronation kyrie sung by Bryn Terfel in Welsh while getting crowned has to be fantastic, magical and mystical.
It seems to be a call from the very deep soul of Wales for hope and everything else, that is good in this world.

Without doubt this was the standout moment of the coronation for me. It was wholly captivating and really summed up the power and majesty of the event in a couple of extraordinary minutes. Congratulations Sir Bryn.
I became Christian again after this revelation by this Welsh prayer to the Lord and our Christ! Thank you for this amazing performance of this sacred prayer.

"Speaking on Coronation Kyrie, the first Welsh-Language piece, Mr Mealor said: “It is a meditative, introspective piece based on a blend between Gregorian chant and Cerdd Dant (Welsh Penillion singing - an important part of eisteddfodau). I was inspired by the great Welsh tunes - Aberystwyth, Cwm Rhondda, Ar Lan Y Môr - and the composition is coloured by the harmonies of these songs. Sorry, not buying it. That was Elvish if I’ve ever heard it and the singer was smuggled in from somewhere in Middle-earth. The whole thing was otherworldly.

I was driving thru London on Coronation day and turned the radio on and this came on ! I was totally undone and overcome by the goosies, Really teared up .....!
Never heard of this man until this performance. He is so gifted and this was just absolutely beautiful and sublime. So moving.
Bryn's voice can be thunderous in his operatic roles,but also such sweetness when he sings quietly.There is so much of his work here on You Tube,but may I recommend his version of the carole " Still " which you can also find here.Out of season I know, but it is exquisite.

Probably the most beautiful piece i have heard in years. When the song reaches a climax around 0:50, the harmonies from the boys choir are just heartwrenching. It moved me to tears instantly.
There are a number of young ladies form Methodist College, Belfast in the choir as well. Of whom we over here are immensely proud. Beautiful music and a heavenly performance all round, apart from the idiot commentator.

Sadly, the anointing of a king (never a queen) belongs to the Old Testament, not the New Testament - which only contains anointing of Christ for burial (MARK 14:8), and the sick. No temporal rulers in spiritual matters…

Just great. One of the best performance I ever heard. I didn't known him before. But from the first Moment it was obviously very special, emotional. I am not very religious. But this performance gives me a feeling that some people have when they pray. Thanks for that unforgettable moment.
