Mysore is beautiful . You can go to Chamundi hills close to mysore . Ranganthittu bird sanctuary . Coorg is a couple of hours away n you may enjoy the beautiful rolling hills, coffee plantations and the elephant camp... and a different culture and food there .
You have the Pushpagiri where you can trek or Thadiandamol or Kotabetta . You can visit Talacauvery too if time permits and hike up the Brahmagiri hill.

The Mysore Maharajas (Wodeyars) were known for their grandeur. As I know, it even used to reflect in the dussehra procession and festivities in 1930s and 40s. The palace also reflects the same. Mysore Palace lighting at night was a spectacle ever since it started but probably not many people outside Karnataka knew for long time as there was no internet i guess.
Gulami.present and 6 yrs back govt is same. Our tax share decreased from 4.75% to 3.65% . Out of 100 rs gst paid by kannadigas we get only 13 rs back. Tax and hindi imperialism. Minimum budget is always necessary for maintenance purpose. Where is the money. How much revenue does indore the clean city generates.centre is pumping money for its flagship project. Outskirts of indore is shit😂

We have a government body called the archeological society/survey or India which restores and maintains our palaces. You should see the ones in Rajasthan as well. They are all unique and beautiful. Also all the monuments in Delhi are really well maintained as well. Also you can rent a bike of your choice in himachal and drive them but maybe you already knew this. Ideally if you plan Rajasthan , you shoild plan it in November to February, else its too hot. Delhi is polluted during winters better to visit it in between august to October, before winters begin. Amazing watching you guys enjoy your vacation in India so much
Hi Nik & Noah, now that you are in Mysore, use that as the base and go to the jungles that I recommended. Kabini. BRT Hills, etc. Jungle Lodges (check website). Mysore palace is a live palace- the royal family lives in one part of the premises. The weather in b’luru is a freak thing. It’s to do with the hills, the valley, the local weather system. We have a government body called the archeological society/survey or India which restores and maintains our palaces. You should see the ones in Rajasthan as well. They are all unique and beautiful. Also all the monuments in Delhi are really well maintained as well.
Also you can rent a bike of your choice in himachal and drive them but maybe you already knew this.
Ideally if you plan Rajasthan , you shoild plan it in November to February, else its too hot. Delhi is polluted during winters better to visit it in between august to October, before winters begin.

Mysore palace is a live palace- the royal family lives in one part of the premises.
The weather in b’luru is a freak thing. It’s to do with the hills, the valley, the local weather system. There’s a video explaining it.
