As Indians we should not blow our own trumpet. It is in bad taste, not very polite. Allow the visitors to explore, experience and feel for themselves. Their tastes , viewpoints and objectives could be generally different. While we may like a strong mix of spiced sugary, milky tea, the westerner may like a mild flavored, no milk , sugarless variety.
Mysore Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace and Mysore Aramane, is one of the most magnificent and largest palaces in India. Situated in the southern state of Karnataka, it used to be the official residence of the Wodeyar Dynasty, the rulers of Mysore from 1399 to 1950. The grand palace stands tall in the heart of Mysore city and attracts visitors from across the world. Being one of the prime attractions in India after the Taj Mahal, it certainly deserves a place in every traveler’s bucket list .. must visit
in India ,esp Karnataka, many traditional homes prefer fresh milk straight from the cow every morning and evening, thats why there are many cows still in urban centres...they have small dairies with sheds every few blocks which house these animals , they are bred for quality and quantity and looked after with care as a family member . Often they are taken to the customer's homes where they are milked right in front of the house gate. They are also allowed to graze in nearby fields or lawns . in time they memorise and know their way to and from these feeding sites even through crowded streets ...which is when they are seen walking across leisurely in groups..but there will be caretaker /milkman straddling along behind prodding them on. sad fact is that there are many aged abandoned animals also ,that are homeless and wander the city hoping for human kindness or looking for veg and fruit waste in a trash bin to feed them .
When I was in India for few days in 2009, I had to taste their cream everyday, so fresh and precious all the time. Thnx Hindus, they are respectful for their sacred animal always.
Actually in Karnataka coffee is grown. The best filtercoffee in India is to be found in Karnataka. When I was staying in Bangalore, I would get great filtercoffee: extremely strong filtercoffee with 1/4 coffee in a glas and 3/4 hot milk. The old fashioned cafe latte. Best coffee I have ever had anywhere in India. And cheap too, same price as plain chai.
Try to visit it during dussera. You will understand why it is so highly rated. You can even google about it. The entire city is lit with beautiful lightings.

Please visit Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves in Maharashtra India. It's considered greatest architecture in history of mankind, because the way it was built seems unbelievable for even today’s time. The temple was built at least 1300 years ago. No stone or nothing was added they carved a mammoth Granite rock/mountain with intricate details. The Kailasa Temple is notable for its vertical excavation-carvers started at the top of the original rock and excavated downward. At least 400000 tonnes of stones have been removed in the process. About 7000 workers and their future generations worked for 135 years. One small mistake and you have to rebuild the whole temple because it's carved into the rock without adding anything, that too up to down.
It has secret underground tunnels believed to be leading to underground city which is even more mysterious and government have totally locked that down and no researchers are allowed to go inside. During the reign of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, the temple was ordered to be demolished along with other temples nationwide. For the task in 1682 he sent over 1000 labourers especially to destroy Kailasa Temple; they worked for over 3 years, but could barely manage to disfigure a few statues here and there. It's the solid granite rock that's made so hard to destroy. Despite of his repeated efforts to tear down Kailasa Temple, Aurangzeb did not found success. Finally he gave up on destroying this temple. This is the same person who has destroyed thousands of ancient temples in India but he could not destroy this one so you can understand the the magnanimity of the temple. other than Kailasa Temple there are 99 other cave temples there (100 total) of which 34 are open for public viewing. whole temple complex known at Ellora Caves.
