Rusalka: 'Vim, že jsi kouzlo'

After drinking Ježibaba's potion to become a human, Rusalka is discovered by the Prince who was out hunting. On finding her the Prince vows to take care of her and leads her away from the forest, her father, and her sisters back to his palace.

One of my favourite arias of Rusalka. In 2 minutes, from gentle, beautiful, sensual warmth with the 2 clarinets, to full bodied passion ending with the strings playing the 'longing' motif. Genius. I have seen this opera over 25 times now and I always enjoy the first interval thrilled by this music.
