I like the black. Flat black may have been better though. I also want to thank you for showing us how to install them. Hurricane zeta caused a limb to knock the drivers side cover off my tacoma and after watching your video I was able to snap it back on.
My passenger door broke off also with a tree limb, but one of the clips on right inside broke…so having a hard time getting on flush. Does that mean I need a new cover? How much was your black ones, my truck is inferno color

I have to admit , most people change the black mirror caps and door handles from black to body colour . The body colour ones are usually a higher end model . However you’re the one that has to like it .

Or would the paint crack after reinstalling? As it might be cheaper than ordering black replacement ones? Your thoughts?

Have you replaced the trim around the fog bezel or the grill. I have the 22 limited model and want to color match all the chrome trim that came on the limited model
Like the sound level or snorkel it is all a matter of what you like. There is nothing wrong with the blue or the black. When you did the shackles blue thought you were going for a monochrome look. But really either will work fine.

Looks good, you can always change it back. In the eighties, euro cars were all solid colors with matching grills, mirrors, wipers, and, wheels. Then the euro cars that raced specifically BMWs and Golfs started changing their mirrors to black or red. I kind of see the same design going on with your ride. Keep it up, it's your vehicle and it will still look good.
I bought the whole mirror compartment on ebay cuz some dbag smashed my oem mirror I wanna know if I can salvage the painted cover part and swap it to the ebay part
Sand the mirror caps and paint them flat black like the fender wells and that will match perfectly so you don't have different black contrast and that will be So Cool! And you will have a truck so unique!
I think it would look better if it was flat instead of midnight black. Flat black would accent the fender flares and grill better. But that's just me... Maybe a paint mod in the future!
The mirror changed to black blends in with the window. So, I think it looks good. The door handel's would look out of place or awkward. That is my opinion.

I replace the grille. I didn’t have chrome around the fogs.

Nice mode on black side mirror Rod. But the handle will be little bit difficult i think to change coz you have to open the door panel from inside.
