Just shows it’s worthwhile taking the time to pick a good camp spot. The wind just a short distance away looks so strong. You seemed well hidden away there.
Yeah I made sure I could get as far to the back wall as possible so I could escape it. It’s a great spot to get out the wind especially when it’s that speed 😂😂. Thanks for watching 😊

Spot on Mark, nowt better than spending a night under a tarp⛺️👌, lightweight, many options and definitely easy when packing away too, it’s a great place for a camp there, it can get popular there, atb Mick 👍
Exactly you can do so much with a tarp and your kit is so much lighter ain’t it. I love the spot but the individuals seems to be leaving it a mess. They was shit and wipes all down the wall 🤦🏽♂️ thanks for watching 😊

It’s getting worse mate. Someone has been using it as a toilet. A shame as I wouldn’t want it stopped up there. I tried my best with the tarp and made a canny little cover. I want to do more of it this year. Thanks for watching 😊

Have you got shot of your Soulo mate?
Yeah I sold it on. My health has changed so I decided to get rid as I only got It to use in mad conditions where i needed the security. I’m a bit more cautious now of the ground and conditions and also weight so I had no use for it. I’m still on my feet and out which I’m grateful for.

@@belowaveragewildcamper im getting on alright but been very cautious of what I’m walking on and the conditions. I forced myself to sell it so I don’t go out in the madness like I used to love. Yep it’s a few quid back on the pocket to beget some other goodies with. I’m still out enjoying it for now so all is good. Hope you had a good end to the year and hoping to see you in the hills. Looking at all the wild camping videos on youtube , you would never guess that it is illegal to wild camp anywhere but Scotland. As one landowner said, camping on his land is the same as him camping in your garden

Yet in Scandinavia they have the allesmansratten/rett that allows everyone freedom to roam and camp provided you follow the simple rules. The system has been in place for centuries. Signs declaring “trespassers prosecuted” just don’t exist.
