What is the setting on amp for. Slap bass sound?

I use active basses....so I set the sound on the bass regardless the amp...but usually a little cut on the mids and a boost on the highs...always with new strings. Strings are 70% of your slap sound

How can anyone learn from that , let alone a beginner ... Can't see what your right hand is doing, can't see what your left hand is doing and if you can't read music, then a beginner would have no idea what the diagrams are

Well buddy, many of us learned music just by listening to Cd´s without any visual clue or diagrams to help...just by practicing and listening for hours and hours. Music is not easy. Maybe you should raise the bar for yourself. Thanks for your message.
