    Being a Pakistani, I consider that Sachin Tendulkar is best ever Batsman of 150 years history of cricket. I disagree with the statement of sir Don Bradman that Tendulkar plays like him, I think Don Bradman played like Sachin. I have seen the videos of Don Bradman's batting and great Tendulkar was far better than him. Don Bradman faced very ordinary bowlers but Tendulkar faced the highest ranked bowlers of the history of cricket. He faced Waseem, Waqar, Shoaib, Bret Lee, Alen Donald, Bishop, Ambrose, Walsh and Mc Grath. In the fields of spin he showed his class against Suqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmad, Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. He scored centuries against these Giants. He showed his class in fast and bouncy pitches against bowling like rockets.

      Well Kohli's good too, he hits a century almost every match, it's not Kohli's fault that those legends are not there anymore, n btw Kohli faces 150-155 kph deliveries in practice from the bowling machine which auto-adjusts to every line and length. A healthy debate is always welcome 😊

      Don't go bringing Kohli into this yet, he is still playing and yes he is great, but the bowling lineups that he faces are nowhere near what Tendulkar and Bradman faced. Anyway back to Bradman and Tendulkar, Tendulkar was great, he scored everywhere in all conditions, he did a lot for the game of cricket, he scored countless runs and yes, carried the weight of the Indian and world fans on his shoulders, but you can't just dismiss Bradman. Bradman played on unprotected wickets, barely any protection (no helmets, thigh guards, arm guards ect...) the rules were different back then when it came to bouncers and fielding placements, the bowling attacks of those times have been scientifically proven to be as good as when Tendulkar played, England had a very fearsome attack, very fast bowlers and good spinners. Bradman was able to make a century in a test match in the bodyline series, and he also carried the weight of the entire cricketing world on his shoulders, not just Australia, everyone wanted to see him bat and do well. his average is 99.94, the closest anyone has come to that in first class or test cricket was 71.64 Vijay Merchant......that is a difference of almost 28 runs per innings, or if we compare Bradman's first class BA it's 95.14 still more than 23 runs difference, that obviously says that it doesn't matter what era you look at, a batting average of 99.94 (test) or 95.15 (first class) is a phenomenon, most batsmen are considered good if they have a batting average over 40, the really good batsmen are over 50 and the elite are around 60, but Bradman stands at just shy of 100........when he went out to bat, he was almost guaranteed to make a century......Not even Tendulkar is as good as Bradman, Tendulkar was great, but Bradman was the greatest by a long shot.

      @@SilentHotdog28 Bro can Kohli be deemed inferior on the ground that he has not faced those bowlers? It was not his fault. Kohli adjusts his technique on a daily basis, be it any bowler, I have read one of the articles which depicted what he has applied to improve his batting-the hybrid "V/O" grip, the correction of the parallax error, etc. He has never failed to stumble against any opponent, nor has he failed to answer to those who still say that "he can't do it." There is a reason why Cricket legend Michael Vaughan considers Kohli "the Greatest of all time" and the world "Greatest" is superlative not comparative. He knows more than us fans. Anyways, speaking of Sir Bradman, he is a legend that aligns in the very definition of cricket as does Sir Sachin Tendulkar, but apart from looking at his average, the number of matches the other two have played far exceed the number Bradman has played. Form could have possibly dipped if he had played that amount of matches and he could have been more prone to injuries as batsmen face when they stay in the circuit for too long. Moreover, Bradman never faced the quality the Sachin-era bowlers had so you are absolutely wrong there. England never produced the likes of Ambrose, Walsh, Lee, Akram, Akhtar etc. So as per your opinion on how you considered Virat inferior, Sachin stands superior to Don by the same logic of facing more quality bowlers.

    • @SilentHotdog28
      @SilentHotdog28 5 лет назад +12

      @@souvikbeats8369 The bowlers that the don faced were the fastest of his his era, England specifically scouted the country for the best and fastest bowlers of the country to use against Bradman, as he was such a good batsman. As for longevity, Bradman played between 1930~ to 1940, then he started playing again from 1946-1949~ Don Bradman missed out on 6 years of cricket during the prime of his life, but when he came back at nearly 40 years old, he was batting the same as he did when he was younger. People who lived and played at the time of Bradman have said that the bowlers at his time were just as good as the bowlers of this era and sachin's era.

    Allan Donald talks abt Sachin ,Lara ,Steve waugh in an interview in 2009 ,
    I had been watching Sachin Tendulkar on and off before we (South Africa) were readmitted in 1991.
    Everything about him is just so exceptional. He is wonderful technically and he has everything - class, speed, all the shots, and he is cool under pressure. Cricketers always talk about his amazing balance, even the Aussies. I've seen tapes of Sunil Gavaskar and if you split the screen between him and Tendulkar, they look virtually identical. I have never seen a man with such immaculate balance - it is freakish.
    People go to a Test match just to watch Tendulkar. I, for one, would rather watch him than bowl against him. Actually, I'm glad I'll never have to bowl to him in a Test match again, though I've been quite successful against him. He is No. 1 in my book - the best player I have ever had the privilege of bowling to. There's Steve Waugh and there's Brian Lara, who was wonderful in 1995, but Tendulkar is a class above, consistently special.
    The best knock I can remember him playing was at Newlands in 1997, when he was just unstoppable. We only got him thanks to a blinding catch by Adam Bacher off a hook shot, otherwise he would have gone on and on.
    Under Hansie Cronje we studied hard for a Tendulkar weakness. We thought he might be vulnerable, especially early in his innings, to the ball that is bowled from wide of the crease, coming back in off a good length. He might then be bowled through the gate, or be lbw, especially on English wickets. We also tried peppering him with short balls - not many top-class batters like that - but it didn't really seem to bother him. The one thing that might rattle him is being restricted. He loves scoring, and scoring quickly, and if he is frustrated, sometimes he goes out and looks for the big shot.
    I don't think he really gets rattled by sledging. Glenn McGrath tried it and Tendulkar just kept running at him and hitting him back over his head for four. I think that, like Steve Waugh, sledging just makes him more focused: I don't think it is a good idea to have a word.
    Tendulkar is already a legend so I'm not sure how he'll be remembered - what comes after legend? . He's the best in the world, one of the most magnificent players there's ever been. He's also a nice guy, a soft-hearted bloke who gives 110% and just loves playing cricket.
