Thanks for the warning. Yes I have been careful tehre are so many pot holes and drops and cracks that pose as an issue for me. The smaller wheels just don't give the same level of confidence like the later 8-inch ones.

Lightweight entry level scooter,while seems the best fatures of this scooter is it's modular design, easy to change parts, that's pretty smart. While i find some users also focus on horsepower,max load ,and recoemmend Cityrover S5.
never understood why the big LED light located at the front is always situated high off the ground. i thought having the light close to the ground as possible would be more practical in terms of avoiding bumps and debris at night. but if the LED light is more so to be noticed by others easier, then i guess it wasn't intended for easier/safer navigation in the dark?
They do it for neither reason, they simply do it for style. Top mounted headlights have become the norm so these chinese knockoff companies that create scooter templates for others to clone all just follow the leader.
I looked at small battery version of this in Australia, mostly because it was light, and it would be good for the last kilometer or two when I got of the train or bus. In the end I went with the Xiaomi 1s because it just looked better, and safer. But I bet the Next-Drive would have been more convenient in a lot of cases.

Yes, I have, but it was my own fault jumping down a curb I didn't lift the front wheel up enough and it bottomed out, came to a complete halt and threw me off. Lucky I was only doing about 15 km/p so it didn't hurt too much.
Did you pay any uk duties or custom fees by importing this from china? I’m going to buy the mi 365 from the same website but I’m not sure about the final cost!

I got this but a ripped off clone. Like any other small wheel scooter is better ride down flat surface street or park pathway and also really good for short transportation to work or school as its lightweight and slim design to bring up on train or bus. Important note just watch out that small manhole or uneven surface (even a small bumb can loose control), i fall off once and my scooter flew off few feet.. had small cut on my knee and elbow.

I've since switched my interest to electric skateboards. Just this past weekend I finally saw two carbon fiber electric scooters in NYC and was surprised by the amount of noise those hard rubber tires generated. Electric skateboards are nearly silent on that front. Thanks again, Chris!

I had one of these chiness carbon fiber electric scooter and serioulsy, don't buy it if you plan to use it everday to go at works. They are too fragile for that. But they make exelent electric scooter for some ride during your weekend.

Be very very careful with any bumps with that small front wheel, I had a very bad fall going over a slight 1 inch step bump without slowing down.

The wheels are a little too small I prefer 10" at least.
I would have thought that the rear brake light is actually powered by the vibrations like those shoes that kids used to wear, that had lights on them.
