    Easy mod that makes a big difference! Trying to get my '07 done up to run at Bonneville (ran out of money to get it ready in time for this year). Ivan's tune was the last mod I made, and it woke my machine up on the big end like CRAZY. Also got 50.3 MPG on a recent 138 mile trip at 60-70 MPH, so it doesn't seem to hurt fuel economy any. I really appreciate the lack of decel popping now, the engine braking is greatly reduced, and low RPM throttle application is smoother.

    Like your shirt. Saw one crossing a muskege swamp close to Lake St. Helen in Roscommon County, MI. back Nov. 15, 1976. Have had other encounters in Michigan and Ohio. Have had 2 1300 v star and fixing to get another soon and doing Ivans Flash. Looks easy.

      Thanks for watching! I got that shirt while we were visiting Washington state. Unfortunately I didn't see one while we were there. The Ivan flash is easy. I filled out a form letting him know what mods that I did to the bike. Then I shipped him the ECU. I was in Oregon visiting friends after I sent it to him. He called me to let me it was done. I established a payment with him over the phone. He shipped it back via FedEx and I picked it up when I got home. I plugged it in and was ready to go. The previous owner had already unplugged the O2 sensor. Have a good one and stay safe!

      I had the ECU tuned due to the change in the engine air flow from installing the Cobra Exhaust and Air Intake. It runs great now!

    The 07 is the only year where the ECU connectors are on the bottom of the ECU. The 08 and later ECU's connect at the top of the ECU. I use mid grade with no issues.

      The tuner told me to be careful pulling the ECU out. He's seen pins get pulled out of the connector. I did a double check when I put it back in to make sure that everything was where it should be.

      I'm planning to pull the ECU on my 2011 1300 this month and ship it off to Ivan for a tune. This is good to know, thank you.

      @@wonkster1970did it increase your top speed?
      0-60mph time?
      I have changed my pulley 30T to the Stryker 31T. I have 2 into 1 Vance n Hines big radius pipes, Barons XXX Big Air Kit, 02 sensor done, and Power commander 5 on it.
      I don’t know how to take it off though.

      @@FlashBro-r4w I haven't checked the 0-60MPH time. I'll have to do that once it warms up here a little in PA. In theory, it should have increased my top speed. I know that I can tell a difference in the engine RPM when I'm at highway speed now. It seems to be lower. I don't have a tachometer to confirm that. I was going to get the Vance N Hines pipes but couldn't find them. Ivan's tune eliminates the O2 sensor. Sounds like you've done a lot of upgrades. I thought about getting the Power commander. Thanks for watching!

      @@wonkster1970 hey thanks for the prompt reply back! I am very curious to see how my bike wakes up with this ECU tune.
      I actually love the way my star runs on the freeway with the pulley swap. Fixed my speedometer as well! Lowered my RPMs, helped my already suffering gas mileage! It is an awesome upgrade for the Vstar 1300! Thanks for the feedback and looking forward to hearing about the performance it gives your bike!

    I did Ivan’s tune and I’m not too happy. I paid good money for a loud exhaust. After Ivan’s tune it’s not what it used to be. How does your exhaust sound compare after the tune?

      @wonkster1970  4 месяца назад

      I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the tune. I have the COBRA Dragster Long pipes. My exhaust has been loud. The tune gave my bike more power, better throttle response, and stopped the deceleration backfire.
      Contact Ivan about the problem you are having.
