I just sent my ECU in today. I've had my 07 warrior for about 1.5 years now. I've thought about getting it flashed before, but never made the jump. I'm excited to see and feel the improvements this flash has to offer.
I just did Ivan's ECU flash and I can definitely tell a difference when riding. It has more pull and accelerates more smoothly. The best way that I can describe it is that it doesn't feel restricted at all. Great video man.
My father has his Warrior with Ivan's flash and mine always felt like it was missing something, so hoping this is what unlocks that extra power that his has.
I have a 06 that’s loaded with Patrick racing goodies, it’s 110 ci. I’ve put 80k mils on it. It always was a little jerky on and off the throttle, the Ivan flash transformed into a different scooter. My warrior is now the smoothest running thing I’ve had. Pricey, but worth every penny.
I just got my Ecu back from Ivan, and it far exceeded my expectations. The warrior has always been twitchy on the throttle, but no more. It’s like an electric motor, smooth as can be. It’s like I got a different scooter, best money I’ve spent on the warrior.
No problem! Thanks for watching! I need to work on getting some amazing pics of my bike like you take of yours! Phenomenal. Thanks again for watching, hope the video helped!
Hi Brian, thanks for all of these videos man. Any chance you could do a video for the TPS adjustment that Ivan recommends for our bikes (With PCV preferably)? GDWarrior has one, but it doesn't really tell you how to make the actual adjustment.
@@TDAQUINO1 ok so you need an ohm/volt reader. If you google the tps for it it should tell you what ones to hook the gator too. Basically the part that turns(spindle) is what sets the resistance so unmoved it should read zero. If you slightly twist it your ohms should increase. For my vstar it was like .68-.75 ohms roughly baseline. So just look up the tps setting needed. Hook gator to certain prongs coming from tps. You want the number to increase as you turn. Should roughly start about 90 degrees from where it will finally sit. If i had a way to send photos id help more. Any questions just tag me.
Havnt figured out the issue with my start issue. Weather has been looking better, might get the motivation to put the battery back in off of the tender. I think it might be some corrosion on wire connections somewhere.
Bad news! I was hoping that since I hadn't heard anything else, maybe it was taken care of. I'm assuming you'd checked the fuses from previously, and checked the battery connections on both the terminals, and other connections through the charging system. Wasn't it also a brand new battery? I'd check the amps on the battery before hooking it up and once it's hooked up and see if there is a draw on it before even starting the bike. If that seems fine, start it and see what it's putting out then and see if it's actually charging the battery, or just draining it. Can't remember if you'd had the click of death or not either, or has even replaced lights.
I got the click of death confused with the battery actually being dead, from the 32 degree weather we had. I did buy a brand new battery thinking the battery was the issue. And it wasn’t. The fuses I’m still confused about because I’m not sure where they are to look at them. I saw forums saying they are under a rectangular piece on the left side. But i I’m getting confused still where they are. I even bought a tamper proof star key set because that was the bolt I thought I had to remove to get access to them. But I was looking and I don’t think they’re there. If you catch me.
Haha. Check the little fuse box just to the side of the battery. Just behind the oil dip stick. Sits up above the height of the battery on the right side of the bike under the seat. There should be about four fuses in there.
Wow I can’t believe that was there. Everything seemed alright, but I took some connections off and some were corroded, before I couldn’t jump the bike with the jumper cable on the negative part of the battery now it does. I let it run and rev it up a little bit, I shut it off and it starts fine. I’m confused unless the rectifier is starting to go. Or one of those corroded connected just needed moved a bit.
Thanks Jason! It's one I'd put towards the top of the list for mods to do to the bike. Not terribly expensive, easy to do, and makes a noticeable difference. Don't think it's one you'll end up regretting.
Wondering the same as I was looking into getting both the flash and the pro black, but don’t want to spend money on the pro black if it won’t be needed after flash.
Hey Bryan, first thank you for these great, informative videos. I’m interested in Ivan’s tune & ordering Patrick Racing Big Air Kit. I have a power commander, Vance&Hines exhaust. Do I keep the power commander & add Ivans tune or would power commander be replaced by Ivans?
Thanks for watching the videos! Think of Ivan as giving you a rough tune and the power commander fine tuning it. When you do Ivan's, you'll list your mods and everything and he will send a tune for you power commander as well. Ivan's is a great mod for the bike and really smooth the bike out and opens it up. Hope that helps a little bit. Stay safe out there brother!
Thx for the video, great job as always Brian. I've heard this upgrade is awesome, but does a few 2-3 increase in torque and horsepower make that much of a noticeable difference when you ride? I'm usually short shifting so I'm rarely at the red line. I don't mind the back firing or snatchy throttle, tho I've never liked the engine braking on my Warrior
Thanks! I used to be the same way. Always short shifted and kind of babied my previous Warrior. This one I run out before shifting and tend to run it like a caged rhino. When I jumped back on my father's and ran it, it was such a noticeable difference. Like someone else commented, it just seems to open it up. Hard to explain, but almost as if you're running a marathon with your hand over your mouth, then suddenly drop it and breath normal. Just feels a lot more open. Plus it feels a lot more smooth. Gets rid of the jerkiness when you let off the throttle.
If it helps, I'll give you an example, Gene. Before Ivan's flash, when my wife was riding with me on the back, every time I decelerated, her helmet would hit the back of mine. Every. Single. Time. It gets irritating! After the flash, helmet to helmet contact is now longer an issue. Everything (acceleration/deceleration) smooths out so much better. And less vibration so my hands don't get as numb as they used to. If my current Warrior ever dies, I'll buy another one and if it doens't have Ivan's flash, that's the first mod I'll do. I like it that much!
I noticed you also have a Cobra fuel Tuner installed. I’m about to do Ivans Flash and have the same Cobra Tuner. Did you have to remove the fuel Tuner? Can it work in conjunction with the new ECU Flash? (Or is it better to remove it) Thanks
I'm very interested in getting this done. Still learning about them. I have the stock air In takes on the bike and a 2 in 1 pipe with a power commander. Will the Ivan's ECU just plug and work on this?
Ivans tune is just plug and play. You list the mods you have, and he flashes your stock ecu and sends you a couple maps for the power commander as well. As for dyno, kind of depends. You can do most anything that Ivan's does with other mods or tuners. the dynatek tuner has an ignition module and Rev extender. Those will go a long way toward doing anything Ivan is doing to the ECU. A good dyno will definitely give you more power too, and provide a tune specifically for your bike, mods, etc... Downside is, any new mod will throw that tune off also. Sorry that's probably clear as mud, but a few things to think about on both sides. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Stay safe brother!
I really didn’t know were to put this question you were talking about the cobra auto turner I dumped my commander 3 and picked up a cobra pro black do you have any tips on settings or do you just let it go on it’s own?
I believe I actually turned down a little of the fuel, but I'd have to get on the app and look. Seems like I had a slight hesitation when hitting the throttle and dialing back the fuel helped to solve it. Have you played with the app at all?
I’ve had all of the power commanders on my warrior and none of them worked as well as the cobra power pro. It has no memory but tunes quickly once stared, and tunes to the fastest rate of acceleration, and gets the very best out of the warrior.
Hi, do you sell the your left side clean up kit? If so how much are they? Is there a link or web address? And have you done a video on said install kit? Thanks for videos man, your doing a huge public service for us warrior lovers...
No, I'd stick with the speedstar ecu in that case. I've read conflicting information on this, but from what I gather Ivan's ecu doesn't work as well with your set up.
