- Questions to ask new bookkeeping clients (bookkeeper interview!). I this video I break down everything you should ask new bookkeeping clients and my system for bookkeeping interviews. When you are getting to know a new bookkeeping client, I recommend an initial half-hour interview where you can get to know each other. I ask potential clients about their business size, payroll, financial systems, communication style, current bookkeeping system, etc. Hopefully this will help you communicate with your new client so you can see if you'd be a good fit to do their bookkeeping. Hi Morgan, how would I go about explaining the price in one of my meetings as to what is involved in the price from low medium high as you've mentioned in the video? What a my listing in each package?
Hi! It all depends on your skill set and what services you are able to provide for your client. Here is a video that Morgan made on different tasks that you may complete for a small, medium, and large client (ruclips.net/video/8A877-pVRKA/видео.html). Hopefully, this will help you decide what type of services you would charge less for (small client) vs charge more for (large client).

Hi just viewed the questionnaire. Did see some typos wanted to help you to fix,. #2 Says "how to you" instead of "how do you" and #8 says "what is the biggest challenge is" instead of "challenges". If you wanted to fix for everyone! BTW Thanks a lot for this!

WHICH SOFTWARE DO YOU USE TO PREP TAXES FOR YOUR CLIENTS?
Hi! I don't do tax prep for clients. I use Quickbooks online to do their bookkeeping.
Where did you get your training to become a bookkeeper?
I took online classes on Quickbooks from a local community college (I previously had my bachelors degree). Then, a few years later I got my Quickbooks ProAdvisor Certification.

Do you conduct your meetings online, on the phone or in person?
All of the above! If the client is local, I'll try to meet with them in person for the first time. Otherwise, I use Zoom.
