    Dimi was more inspirational but need to say this boy has balls in clinch moments.
    They both have won a match each today and now such a tight battle!

    • @gabrielametodieva8360
      @gabrielametodieva8360 9 месяцев назад +12

      It’s a tough one for Dimi for sure. More points won, more break points, positive ratio between winners and errors … quality match from him but couldn’t clinch it. He won a lot of close matches lately and it was inevitable that he’d lose one. Unfortunately it was to Rune who for me didn’t have the most professional behaviour and sometimes is tough to cheer for unlike Dimitrov but what can you do.

      Come on… tennis is suffering from purist only wanna see Sinners traditional on court behavior.
      It’s so damn boring to watch sinner. We want emotions , we want drama.
      You guys are so soft that you think it’s tough to cheer for a guy who have been dedicated his whole life, just bc he is hard on himself. He brings emotions , that elevate the entertainment.

      Yes, is shocking the difference when hes hitting with ofensive mindset compared when he stands back and just pass the ball, he doesnt have reason. To play defensive, hes tall, strong, can hit from both sides, good volley, good down the line shots, he should be dictsting the points left and right

    Okay so apparently Rune is scheduled to play Sinner at 1PM tomorrow as the second match of the day. 1 PM as the second match of the day! The guy just played about 5 hours in a single day and he has to play freaking Jannik Sinner at 1PM whilst having spent around 5 sets and 5 hours in the past 24 hours once that match begins! Ridiculous!
    Why on earth is he not scheduled to play as the latest match of the day? That's straight up disrespectful from the tournament organizers/schedulers. Either theyre trying to knock Rune out of the tournament, or they straight up do not care about the match fitness of a guy like Holger Rune.

His shortest turnaround on clay yet and he’s not so young. He’ll have time to finally rest now and get ready for Madrid.

    I've watched the entire game and these are my observations: 1 set was balanced but on the tie break Rune was a little bit better especially considering the fact that he got much better Tie break record than Dimitrov. In the second set, Rune called the physiotherapist and complained that he had muscle or tendon pain affecting his right arm .So after the physiotherapist finished his consultation, Rune in most cases played only short exchanges of balls and a lot of drop shots with the idea of not affecting his right arm . The 3rd set, after Rune was seen that Dimitrov did not take the bait and was playing at a constant level, he instantly revived and started to play like in the first set suddenly forgetting that he had any health problems. After they both reached the tie break Rune was much more aggressive than Dimitrov, who played a passive and fearful Tie break in my opinion. Conclusion: considering that Rune has Patrick Mouratoglou as a coach, I think it was a strategy in the 2nd set to create a lack of concentration in Dimitrov's mind so that in the 3rd set Rune could win unexpectedly. This match proved that tennis is not only a game between 2 tennis players where someone is stronger in terms of the game, but strategy, psychology and a professional coach are also very important.

      @PaulFit-mk5ur 9 месяцев назад

      Real bad analysis. Second set - Rune's level dropped, he played dirty tricks like overall, fake medicine timeout. Traps for Dimitrov 1st and 3rd set. Dirty tricks and play. That's all Rune. One of the umpire arguing, Grigor stepped forward and Rune quit on the second. Cowardness and dirty play. I wish it was 6:0 6:0 by Sinner.

    I get really angry at the tournament directors in the way they're scheduling Rune's matches.
    So both Dimitrov and Rune had their matches delayed due to rain yesterday so both of them had to finish their R32 match today. Okay fair enough, rain delays can happen
    But then it'd be reasonable to play those R32 as the first matches of the day so both players have enough time to recover for their R16 match (the match we're seeing right here with these highlights).
    And that didn't happen. BOTH Dimitrov and Rune played the second match of the day on their respective courts. Not only that, but then if i Remember correctly the Rune and Dimitrov match was scheduled to be the 4th out of the 5th match of the day on the court they were to play on.
    Rune then went to 3 sets in the match he played against Sumit Nagal,. Because of that, he finished his match significantly later than Dimitrov and didn't have much time to rest at all for his match against Dimitrov, which ended up lasting around 3,5 hours. Good for Rune to get the win though.
    Both Rune and Dimitrov deserved their incompleted R32 match to have it be the first match of the day on their respective courts and the match against one another to be the latest match of the day on whatever court it may have been to give them time to recover. It wasn't. It was the 2nd and 4th match.
    But if that wasn't bad enough, now Rune is scheduled to play Sinner at 1PM tomorrow as the second match of the day. 1 PM! The guy just played about 5 hours in a single day and he has to play freaking Jannik Sinner at 1PM whilst having spent around 5 sets and 5 hours in the past 24 hours once that match begins! Oh he wasn’t so calm when he was trying to disrupt his opponent all match long with all sorts of dirty tricks. Come on now.

    C'est dommage pour grigor Dimitrov ET son adversaire rune critique toutes les décisions de l'arbitre dans le premier set je n'aime pas ce genre de joueur grigor Dimitrov es plus fairplay plus humble j'aime bien ce tennisman beaucoup de respect pour lui

    Great match from both ! Magic from Dimitrov as usual but Rune clutched this time. Unfortunately he's probably gonna get defeated by Sinner tomorrow.

      Not necessarily. Holger is better on clay than hard court and beat Sinner here last year.

    Yeah Rune is still a bit immature, bit come on, he is 20 years old. With experience he’ll mature.
    He has an incredible top level but also an incredible low level. With more maturity, that low level will go up, and he’ll be pure poison to meet.

    some of the finest tennis i have ever seen. It is much like poker, watching the alpian siman dismantle tennis is not the same as this match. Watch the tension, the friction and fusion, top ten men one of the most youthful and the the only other senior, the old GOAT. I have made fewer than two comment on tennis vids ever. Just because this is tennis at its best, like i said you only hand a little better, at the end. No spoilers.

    Unfortunate for Dimitrov but congratulations to Rune - he played some very high-risk shots at critical moments and was going for his shots more in that last-set breaker.
    Dimitrov also lost two tie-breaks to Rune at Wimbledon last year.
    Lightning struck again!!

      Better this happened anyway. Dimitrov would not have had a chance against Sinner, whereas Rune has a legit shot.

    Congratulations to Holger! They both played a wonderful match. Did anyone else notice that Holger "tried" the one-handed backhand during set point of Grigor on 2nd set?! It didn't go in though.

      If you don't understand the effect of painkillers or, for that matter, the difference between serving 160 km/h in a set versus serving 130 km/h in a set; then you are simply too ungifted to understand the sport. The problem is yours and no one else's 🤭🤭🤭
