Resident evil 4 is running at low settings at 720p on ps4, which is outright awful, that’s ps3 resolution, with constant frame drops and stuttering. I know as I played it on ps4, it’s not an enjoyable experience. It’s a horrible experience and too much for the ps4 slim to handle. No problem with accepting games have advanced, the ps4 is almost 9 years old. It was good in it’s time, but it can’t keep up with new titles like this. However the demo on my ps5 was incredible, looked far better and most importantly ran silky smooth, then when I bought the game for pc it runs an absolute treat on ultra settings in 1080p. If the ps4 ran the game at minimum 900p with frames that didn’t drop below 50fps, then it would still be feasible, but it’s not.

A mi me pasa justamente lo contrario, me gusta mas el original que el remake, el remake ya lo pase una vez y fue un calvario por el apuntado tan tosco que tiene, el original me lo he pasado varias veces y nunca me aburro, incluso en profesional que es la dificultad mas dificil me sigue divirtiendo bastante cosa que no pienso volver a tocar el remake jamas de lo que me costó pasarlo y eso que lo pasé en dificultad normal. Lo único que está mejor que el original es la historia y el dlc pero en gameplay es mucho mejor el original, al menos para mí

de hecho no bro... si mejora mucho en ps5.. yo lo juego en ps4.. y lo que veo mas son las texturas de madera,piso, las frases de la pared... en ps4 habeces carga bien las texturas o definitivamente no las carga... la primera frase del min 2:09 en ps4 cuesta trabajo leerlo... porque esta la neta muy granulado, pixelado, igual en las maderas se nota mucho lo pixelado y ps5 no se nota... podran ser pequeños detalles... pero pss si juegas en una tv tipo Qned, Qled, Oned, Oled son detalles que la neta si son importantes... sino pss el juego se ve cutre... otro punto es... en la version ps4 es imposible usar sniper en algunas zonas, ya que da unos tirones de fps que no si esta entre los 15, 30 , lo que si veo decepcionante de la version de ps5 esque el juego solo vaya a 60fps y que derepente baje a 50-55, nose si en xbox a de ir 120fps... pero eso ayuda mucho ala visualizacion en el tipo de tv que tengas(claro que tu tv igual tenga soporte de 120)

Luego lo de los detalles mínimos pues ya cada cual sus gustos, por mi parte solo doy importancia a la jugabilidad y fluidez.

theres not much generation difference because instead of making a ps4 version and a ps5 version they made 1 version that could run on everything with some easy tweaks. Compare re4 to any of the ps5 exclusives and youll see they werent going as hard as they could have

The ps5 looks so much nicer. 😭 But I don't have a ps5... But I'm impressed at how in synch the videos are. It must've taken a few tries to make sure they were both timed right.

Particle effects and lighting look more dynamic on PS5, but watching this, it really just makes the PS5 version look darker, without making the PS4 one look washed out. Some games that came out on PS3 and PS4 looked VASTLY different, this? Barely noticeable to your average player, if at all.

I wouldn't set my expectations too high, most of the extra horsepower in newer consoles is for rendering in 4k and ray tracing, the only differences you'll see between generations will be a bit clearer picture and better lighting.
No devs said they found a way to get it running on ps4. Originally was going to be current gen only. They simply found the right sacrifices. And yes the fans kick out super hard on ps4 and pro for this game 😆. As far as graphics we have reached the point of diminishing returns. People want crazy graphical next gen power but are not willing to pay more than 500 (and to some that is already too expensive lol) it so there you go 😆. Got to be realistic as a PS5 is just four times more powerful than a PS4 pro.
Guys, for me it doesn't matter...It's the same game, same story, same action and same characters and same cutscenes...so...I don't give a thing about this graphic difference. Only because when I play a game, I do not standing by only just to admire the textures on the walls, trees etc...I play it to finish it so what a what
I like the PS5 version better. Lighting & highlights looks so much better making it feel like you're actually there. Framerates are consistently at 60fps so everything looks smooth. And the colors are more saturated rather than washed out. Otherwise, the PS4 version is still great enough to play with.
After I beat the game on PS5, I installed the PS4 version on an external drive on my PS5 to save some space and it runs like what I assume the PS4 pro version runs like, with better performance and frame rates than the base 4. More like the Series S if you will. It’s definitely very playable, just the load times aren’t great. Kinda wild they ported it to PS4, hats off to them, I means it’s on the iPhone now
You can tell this game was not meant for the PS4, because it doesn’t look as good graphically as the resident evil two remake. It’s a pretty large game, so I’m guessing they had to sacrifice some graphical quality to make it small enough to fit.

You need to change your thermal paste. Before I upgraded my Pro was getting crazy loud, Doom Eternal sounded like a hair dryer at one point I'm surprised it didn't shut off honestly. Changed the thermal paste, put a new fan in it and that thing was whisper quiet. Such a good system.
Xb1 base was much weaker sadly. Every game even the most optimized ones like metal gear solid 5 ran at 900p to achieve 60fps... one friend of mine wanted me to buy it but i bought the ps4 instead

The same as which version? Ofcourse the ps4 and ps5 are going to be the same. They are basically the newer version of the game. But the game has some extra content compared to the original and previous remakes on older consoles.

Lazy texturing is so frustrating I wish developers would take their time with their games and make it look more realistic. It happened in Village too. It's half of a shell of what RE4 originally was about. Here Leon & Ashley are grey-haired in 2005 they are blondes and it was so much more lifelike the gameplay. Here it's dead atmosphere with Leon running from point A to B then from C to D and then E to F. I'm supposed to be impressed that the frame rate is more stable on PS5? Shinji Mikami's game is a lot greater.

I played this game on the Wii in 2008 before HDTV was really a thing. Was awesome and scary even then! Nice to see it's available for PS4/5

The frame rate seems to struggle with them throwing dynamite at you in tgesequence in chapter 1 really very noticeable from how it seems to jitter
It looks better if you use resolution mode and turn off HDR mode on ps5. The graphics are so much better with the HDR off and more sharper and vibrant

PS4 runs at 1080p in Resolution mode, and 900p in Framerate Mode. Not 720p.

People who are pointing problems and comparing it to ps5 are obsessed owners of ps5 first of all your comparing a almost 10 year old console to ps5 second I'm i have a good full hd sony led I'm playing it on ps4 45-50 fps are coming on my 10 year old console without lag or anything graphics are looking almost close to ps5 I don't give a fuck to 10fps higher and some rendering background issues if my old console is still giving me a very decent chance to enjoy latest games
Also this game is clearly made for PS4 and improved for PS5, after two years of emptiness, would be about time to get an idea of how a real PS5 gen game is made of
im pretty sure it was made for ps5/xbox xs and downscaled for ps4.
I wouldn't set my expectations too high, most of the extra horsepower in newer consoles is for rendering in 4k and ray tracing, the only differences you'll see between generations will be a bit clearer picture and better lighting.
No devs said they found a way to get it running on ps4. Originally was going to be current gen only. They simply found the right sacrifices. And yes the fans kick out super hard on ps4 and pro for this game 😆. As far as graphics we have reached the point of diminishing returns. People want crazy graphical next gen power but are not willing to pay more than 500 (and to some that is already too expensive lol) it so there you go 😆. Got to be realistic as a PS5 is just four times more powerful than a PS4 pro.

I like the PS5 version better. Lighting & highlights looks so much better making it feel like you're actually there. Framerates are consistently at 60fps so everything looks smooth. And the colors are more saturated rather than washed out. Otherwise, the PS4 version is still great enough to play with.

After I beat the game on PS5, I installed the PS4 version on an external drive on my PS5 to save some space and it runs like what I assume the PS4 pro version runs like, with better performance and frame rates than the base 4. More like the Series S if you will. It’s definitely very playable, just the load times aren’t great. Kinda wild they ported it to PS4, hats off to them, I means it’s on the iPhone now
You can tell this game was not meant for the PS4, because it doesn’t look as good graphically as the resident evil two remake. It’s a pretty large game, so I’m guessing they had to sacrifice some graphical quality to make it small enough to fit.

The rendering on ps4 is so bad
You need to change your thermal paste. Before I upgraded my Pro was getting crazy loud, Doom Eternal sounded like a hair dryer at one point I'm surprised it didn't shut off honestly. Changed the thermal paste, put a new fan in it and that thing was whisper quiet. Such a good system.

Xb1 base was much weaker sadly. Every game even the most optimized ones like metal gear solid 5 ran at 900p to achieve 60fps... one friend of mine wanted me to buy it but i bought the ps4 instead

Lazy texturing is so frustrating I wish developers would take their time with their games and make it look more realistic. It happened in Village too. It's half of a shell of what RE4 originally was about. Here Leon & Ashley are grey-haired in 2005 they are blondes and it was so much more lifelike the gameplay. Here it's dead atmosphere with Leon running from point A to B then from C to D and then E to F. I'm supposed to be impressed that the frame rate is more stable on PS5? Shinji Mikami's game is a lot greater.
