BabyMetal has actually become one of my favorite metal bands, I was raised on Slayer, Sepultura, Forbidden, Venom, Megadeath, Disturbed, early Metallica, oh and did I mention Slayer... I love this weird mix that is BabyMetal, the band is phenomenal and SuMetal is an awesome singer that deserves way more credit. Great song and performance.

12 years later what a phenomenal song. So many bands back then (small and medium ones following-wise) said it's just a stupid gimmick and it's gonna be forgotten soon. Several of those bands are forgotten now, while Babymetal is strong, their debut album still one of the top 10 I heard since then and massively influential in the metal world. In the last 10 years I met at least 50 metalheads who told me Babymetal was their window for metal music
I love how people are like "This isn't metal", "They're horrible", etc, etc.... Honestly, this is just another form of metal, like a fusion of j-pop and speed metal or something, maybe not your taste in metal, but I think it's pretty good, and this is coming from someone who listens to black metal. It's a nice break from the traditional stuff you hear.

To be honest, I've been listening to metal, heavy metal, death metal, speed metal, hard rock all my life I mean I grew up to Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Cannibal Corpse, Entombed, Suffocation, Sepultura, Gravity Kills, etc.. and I personally love BABYMETAL (was born '93 that's like all my dad listened to and I fucking loved it) and right now I'd have to say it's amazing. It's a fusion of multiple genre's they're J-Metal Idol ban and use J-Pop. In line! it even seems they use essentially EDM and they even rap. Just because they don't stick to the typical English/European styled metal doesn't make it any less metal then these other bands. Music evolves, hell their used to not be what people refer to true metal as now. What's even better is BABYMETAL is helping introduce the younger generation to metal, because most radio stations stick the the most mainstream upbeat top 20's and they don't venture out of those stations.

This is melodic speed metal and it is extremely well done. And I don't think the mainly purpose of the band is to raise money, because then they would go to a more secure genre like pop or some other genre that you can listen in the radio. They tried with something fresh and new and they won. Congratulations BABYMETAL, you are awesome !! And for all the haters and posers out there, stop complaining and enjoy the music.

Kobametal is a true metalhead that wants something new for metal, but they brought a change for idols too. Now the idols are interested in metal music and joining in new projects with metal involved.

I have just listened to this song repeatedly just this week, and as I looked at the translation of the lyrics, it comforts me since I became a victim of bullying when I was in elementary to college years. I discovered Babymetal a few weeks ago and now I am addicted. Also, so far I reckon their best songs are the ones with really good "melodic", speed metal background with a touch of JPop and sprinkled death metal. They should really stick to this formulation, this works like a miracle and no need to be so so diverse. I love it.

すっごくキャッチーな曲だな。
当たり前の事を歌にしてるだけなんだけど色々と考えさせられるのは、この曲の魅力だよね。
こんな事言ったら周りから笑われるかもしれないけど、邦楽界に残る名曲だと思う。
まず歌詞がいい意味で凝ってなくて良い。変に言い回しや難しい表現をしないからスっと心に歌詞が届いてくる。
Suも難しい歌い方はせず、真っ直ぐ伸びる声が重厚なメタルサウンドを突き抜けることで歌詞がより強調されるし、感情がより伝わってくる。
｢涙見せずに〜｣のところは表現力が素晴らしすぎてこみ上げるものがある。
サウンドも一見激しいようでどこか切なさと哀愁を感じさせるところがいい。こういう所はXJAPANとよく似てる。
最後に、3:50｢痛み感じて〜｣のsu,moa,yuiの語り、メロディがマッチしすぎて音源でもLIVEでも涙が出てくる。いろんなアーティストを聞いてきたけどLIVEはともかく、音源でウルウルきちゃうのはBABYMETALぐらいかな。
自分が歌詞を理解できる日本人であったことを嬉しく思う。

さくら学院の部活動としてスタートした派生ユニットというのはあくまで便宜上の後付けです。
｢可憐ガールズ解散コンサート｣で検索してみて下さい。
さくら学院がデビューする一年前に、既にこのプロジェクトは始まっていたことがわかります。
一人のメタルおたくの中間管理職の変人が覚醒し、楽曲作りからコンセプトまで練りに練って、こだわりにこだわって、約一年半かけて作り上げたものです。
特に曲に関しては、依頼された作編曲者が逃げ出したくなるほど、何十回も手直しさせた結果生まれ出たものです。
｢ファーストにしてベスト｣と言われた一枚目を聴けば、全ての曲がどれだけ緻密に、手間と時間をかけて作られたものかわかるはず。
実際の演奏を想定しないで作られた曲は、再現するのが難しすぎるために、結果的に凄腕のバックバンドが組まれました。
アイドルとメタルの融合という前代未聞のコンセプトが海外で激しい賛否両論の渦を巻き起こす中、奇跡の組み合わせとも言えるこの三人は、多くのライブで様々な試練を乗り越えながら、プロとして成長していったのです。
他に解説されてる方がいますが、けっこう昔のコバメタルのインタビュー記事を読むと可憐時代の中元すず香に目をつけて、そこからBABYMETALプロジェクトの構想が始まったことがわかります。

スーメタルの澄んだ歌声、モアとユイのカワイイのにキビキビしたシンクロダンスが神秘的で心に刺さった。
今やスーとモアは可愛いだけじゃなくて美しくなって品が感じられるようになった。

So many bands back then (small and medium ones following-wise) said it's just a stupid gimmick and it's gonna be forgotten soon.
Several of those bands are forgotten now, while Babymetal is strong, their debut album still one of the top 10 I heard since then and massively influential in the metal world. In the last 10 years I met at least 50 metalheads who told me Babymetal was their window for metal music

Honestly, this is just another form of metal, like a fusion of j-pop and speed metal or something, maybe not your taste in metal, but I think it's pretty good, and this is coming from someone who listens to black metal. Kibikayuki I completely agree. you put it so amazingly. To be honest, I've been listening to metal, heavy metal, death metal, speed metal, hard rock all my life I mean I grew up to Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Cannibal Corpse, Entombed, Suffocation, Sepultura, Gravity Kills, etc.. and I personally love BABYMETAL (was born '93 that's like all my dad listened to and I fucking loved it) and right now I'd have to say it's amazing. It's a fusion of multiple genre's they're J-Metal Idol ban and use J-Pop. In line! it even seems they use essentially EDM and they even rap.
Just because they don't stick to the typical English/European styled metal doesn't make it any less metal then these other bands. Music evolves, hell their used to not be what people refer to true metal as now. What's even better is BABYMETAL is helping introduce the younger generation to metal, because most radio stations stick the the most mainstream upbeat top 20's and they don't venture out of those stations.

This is melodic speed metal and it is extremely well done. And I don't think the mainly purpose of the band is to raise money, because then they would go to a more secure genre like pop or some other genre that you can listen in the radio. They tried with something fresh and new and they won. Congratulations BABYMETAL, you are awesome !!

Kobametal is a true metalhead that wants something new for metal, but they brought a change for idols too. Now the idols are interested in metal music and joining in new projects with metal involved.

A metal song with a strong message, I needed to hear this song. I have a mental illness and I can imagine being bullied is the worst. This group brings tears to my eyes on some songs, but they are happy tears. Babymetal has opened my mind and heart to this great music. I discovered Babymetal a few weeks ago and now I am addicted. Also, so far I reckon their best songs are the ones with really good "melodic", speed metal background with a touch of JPop and sprinkled death metal. They should really stick to this formulation, this works like a miracle and no need to be so so diverse. I love it.
