Im 60 and a fan of the 70´s like Led Zeppelin or else..but that stuff is future... sad that i discover them now they are "old"...they started with 12 / 13 in 2010 .
@@hanneloremarutt1568 As long as there are people who love the "old" stuff and the new powerful music like babymetal, there will be a little bit of hope for the earth. The young generation loves music, too. And this is also a part of hope. It feels good!
Idk what the lyrics mean, but as someone that listens to music of a few different languages, I find that the beauty of singing is that just the sound itself coming from one's mouth has the same effect as an instrument. It just phonetically sounds amazing. The meaning and story of the lyrics is just even more greatness.
idk if you already read the lyrics, but the song is something about women empowerment. I agree that Babymetal music is really beautiful in their own way
I first heard of them when I was like 13 or 14, now I'm 21. I'm amazed they're still carrying this much relevance to the point that they made a collab with BMTH just a few months back.
Lmao, I'm quite shocked how people are just starting out to find babymetal??? they were the hot shit back in 2013, 2014 and peaked in 2015. They were super popular, inescapable to hear about, etc. Just how on earth have people not heard about them until now? My favourite song of theirs is Road of Resistance, it's a collab between Babymetal and Herman Li and Sam Totman, the two guitarist from DragonForce and you can really hear that it's a dragonforce melody to the whole song and the guitar chords xD lol but honestly it's really good (also don't listen to the live version, it's got garbage audio. listen to the better source ver. with no video.)
+NakiNaki Serrano yes suzukas voice is beautiful. If you want to hear some tracks where suzika sings beautifully listen to ijime same zettai at sonic sphere 2014 and no rain no rainbow.
+ToonamiVHS I lent it to a friend last week who never returned it so when I asked him about the DVD he lost them and he just sent me download links to watch the performance online but yeah, It was an amazing performance.
Because in their early years it was not heard about a lot, but recently they have been doing a lot of Collabs and pushing their brand. I've been a fan since 2018 and I'm happy they are finally getting the attention they deserve.
They were 14-16 when they did this song.. now there 21-23.. time flys so fast it seems like only yesterday I saw the teens react to baby metal video and found them

This band gets a lot of hate from the "true metal" crowd I think because of their name. In reality most J metal bands are a little eccentric because that is just the culture. Babymetal is great, especially the band itself. I would love to see a live show in Japan.
Happened to me too, I first thought that it was kinda like a joke band.. but once I saw the live performances and also heard the full albums i was hooked
Grew up listening to Nu Metal, Alt. Rock, adore Thrash Metal, Traditional Heavy Metal, & currently in love with Japanese Power Metal (Galneryus, Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus). But yes. Babymetal is the *greatest* metal/rock act that came out in the 2010s.
@Stark like they already do? Every americna fan is quick to blame and jump down japanese company threats because they dont get that 99% of localization is up to the american and European branches
I kind of a agree with you, I am american but I wish people would try and take a look at japanese artist since they are so good and get overlooked and some Japanese artist songs get popular maybe one and it gets trendy and lots of people listen to it and then shortly later they will be forgotten, and I don't think every American likes kpop, I don't really enjoy kpop, and when it comes to japanese music I feel like SOME people focus on just the anime opening songs but don't even try to explore outside of it and etc.. (sorry my part when I talked about the anime opening part wasn't a good explanation I just didn't know how to explain it right)
@@buttercup6837 people do tend to pigeonhole things based on their own experience. Theres lots of exposure to Anime so thats what people see of japanese culture and its their go to reference for all things japanese. Just for the record, I'm a 64-year old "classic rocker." Babymetal is GREAT! Kinda like ... seeing anime come to life, y'know? Super-talented, and kick-ass!
+Seth Tyrssen I'm glad to see older people listening to babymeta . (Sorry if I was rude). Everyone I know past 40 hates this band. I have to disagree with you about the anime coming to life comment. I can see the music being an opening for an anime but I don't see a correlation between the music and an anime in itself. Anyhow kitsume up! Welcome to the resistance!
Thank you! No, it's quite all right, I'm well aware that I'm an "older guy" now. I think it's that the girls themselves remind of anime; they could easily be the heroic characters of an anime series. That sort of thing. Sorry to hear that so many people over 40 dislike the band, I can't see why! I have a number of friends of Facebook that like Babymetal, including my brother, who is a professor of music at a Florida university. Best wishes to all the talented folks in the band, not to forget their tech crew! A brilliant concept, brilliantly executed.
Thanks Mason! Hey, like Jethro Tull said, "you're never too old to rock 'n' roll, if you're too young to die!" That includes liking modern stuff, as well as the stuff ya grew up with!
Seth Tyrssen Too many music fans stagnant and don't evolve with their favourite genres. Liking the modern and the classic is the only way to roll, keep on being awesome Seth!
I thought this band was hella weird 11 years ago... Now in 2024 after their collab with Electric Callboy, I have mad respect for the momentum they've kept going.
@@Billy-rr7re What is spectacular about the vocalist is that she can do this in live performance almost as good as in record while she is dancing. Her live is not a lip-sync. I agree that there are superior singers around there if you only care about the recorded voice.
I haven't seen a single japanese comment because to listen to music, you dont really need to know what they said, I dont listen to any metal except BABYMETAL. I really dont care what they're saying. The contrast of the metal to the light vocals is all that's important to me.
"Megitsune" is probably Babymetal's strongest song in both musical composition and lyrical meaning. The depths of the words of this song, so beautiful assembled and with total purpose and intent is really impressive. This is not a shallow, gimmicky group merely based in making money. Babymetal has a real and meaningful message to the world and they spread that so very well.
+Laura Grimmer I have been asking myself that for months. I don't know whats gonna happen on 1.April when the new CD comes out with a bunch of new songs. But i guess i'm not getting over this anytime soon. But thats OK :-)
+Laura Grimmer Because this one is a particularly good song. Best one in BabyMetal's repertoire. The musicians are good, and Su-metal's contralto voice is magnificent. She's no amateur despite her youth.
This is by far my favorite Babymetal song. Su-Metal's voice really shines and the instrumental is just mind-blowing... I mean, that breakdown! This band is amazing.
Agreed. Whenever I'm telling people about BM now, I always point them to this song - there's no gimmicks, outstanding musicianship (?), and a breakdown that any metal band out there would be proud of. You're right about Su's voice too, she's astounding in this song. I wonder if she'll stay in metal once BM are over...
Dan Shreffler Ha! Can't see that happening somehow, at least I hope not. I just hope BM manage to do better out in the rest of the world than Mad Capsule Markets did.
watched red hot chili peppers live tonight and this was the opening band...let's just say they killed it.didn't understand Wtf they were saying but...drumming and guitar was on point
Fuck RHCP, and you stains. They've killed fellow SF bands. The only reason they HAD a show was BabyMetal. Keidis is a lyrical hack. Point Break was their shining achievement.
+Joshua Southern They spent THREE freakin' years to create this song!!! Incredible! I don't know how many bands out there takes this long to create just ONE song! But the end result....SPEECHLESS!
+Joshua Southern Lol no its not unreal, almost ever genre metalized results in a better song, for example cuntcrushers cover of gangnam style, and many other songs that are metalized. :D Check it out :D

Idk what the lyrics mean, but as someone that listens to music of a few different languages, I find that the beauty of singing is that just the sound itself coming from one's mouth has the same effect as an instrument. It just phonetically sounds amazing. The meaning and story of the lyrics is just even more greatness.

Japanese music is widely available for everyone on youtube though for anyone thats interested in digging a bit deeper.
+Seth Tyrssen thank you for the quick reply. I can see what you mean regarding the anime comment. anyhow kitsume up!
Thanks Mason! Hey, like Jethro Tull said, "you're never too old to rock 'n' roll, if you're too young to die!" That includes liking modern stuff, as well as the stuff ya grew up with!
Seth Tyrssen
Too many music fans stagnant and don't evolve with their favourite genres. Liking the modern and the classic is the only way to roll, keep on being awesome Seth!
I thought this band was hella weird 11 years ago... Now in 2024 after their collab with Electric Callboy, I have mad respect for the momentum they've kept going.
Have you heard the collab w/ Bring me the Horizon?!?!?
@@SeizeHerSaladthey what!?
Just discovered Babymetal and started binge listening all they're songs... GOD DAMN this is good.

Western Spy Welcome
I feel like su-metals vocals aren't appreciated enough, especially in this song. She's an amazing singer who puts a lot of passion into the lyrics
From an interview:
This was my first time to have it as "Let's sing like Enka song". Especially the line "Ah, Ahhhhh," it was.
Chloe Iversen Naw everybody practically nuts to her voice
her voice is nice. nothing spectacular but not bad.
@@Billy-rr7re What is spectacular about the vocalist is that she can do this in live performance almost as good as in record while she is dancing. Her live is not a lip-sync. I agree that there are superior singers around there if you only care about the recorded voice.
@@html5sg-esk514 and I agree with you.
SuMetal (Suzuka Nakamoto) / lead vocals / age 16
MoaMetal (Moa Kikuchi) / screamer / age 14
YuiMetal (Yui Mizuno) / screamer / age 14
Fullmetal (Edward Elric) / state alchemist / 21
This literally made me laugh out loud. High five for awesome jokes.
Dude, 100 points awarded to yeh man :)

Thas isn't scream. Aborted - Orgin of Disease THAT is scream
I haven't seen a single japanese comment because to listen to music, you dont really need to know what they said, I dont listen to any metal except BABYMETAL. I really dont care what they're saying. The contrast of the metal to the light vocals is all that's important to me.
I feel like this is arguably their best song to date.
yep, as for me it's a close fight between this and headbanger, but headbanger wins eventually
It's probably their most "fitting" song for who they are and what they represent. Definitely a fan fav.
My favorite is probably either "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" or "Karate", but this is among my top too.
this song made me a fan, this song totally blow my mind
I don't have a clue what they're saying but a banger is a banger. Glad I found this band.
Easily BabyMetal's best song. メギツネは凄く良いです. 大好き
Why can't I stop listening to this?
+Laura Grimmer I have been asking myself that for months. I don't know whats gonna happen on 1.April when the new CD comes out with a bunch of new songs. But i guess i'm not getting over this anytime soon. But thats OK :-)
We're addicted its almost hypnotic but so good.
+Laura Grimmer Because this one is a particularly good song. Best one in BabyMetal's repertoire. The musicians are good, and Su-metal's contralto voice is magnificent. She's no amateur despite her youth.
+Laura Grimmer why does this band make me think of the intro in to "brutal legend"
+Laura Grimmer It doesnt even sound different to any other metal for me now xD
何回も繰り返し聞いても最高!!スーメタルの歌もいいしモアメタル、ユイメタルもダンスも最高!神バンドの最高のメタルが神ががってるBABYMETAL最高!

This is by far my favorite Babymetal song. Su-Metal's voice really shines and the instrumental is just mind-blowing... I mean, that breakdown! This band is amazing.
Agree
I actually just listened to it and it's FANTASTIC. Now it's this one and that one tied for my favorite.
GrooveItOrLoseIt That breakdown at 1:53 is the most metal thing you'll hear today.

Btw Megitsune = female fox and Kitsune = male fox
You actually saw my two favourite band in one night. You have no idea of how much I envy you.
Yeah, the KAMIBAND is brutally talented. Damn, RHCP and BABYMETAL on the same night? Lucky bastard
Kami band = god band
Fuck RHCP, and you stains. They've killed fellow SF bands. The only reason they HAD a show was BabyMetal. Keidis is a lyrical hack. Point Break was their shining achievement.
