I love “Serpent and the Rainbow “, very underrated. I thought the villain was chilling.
“You dreamt of me and of the grave. I know because I was there. I can be there every time you close your eyes. The pain I caused you in the room upstairs is nothing compared to the pain I can cause you in your own mind. Remember that, Dr. Allan.”

Fire in the Sky (or the abduction flashback sequence, at least) is one of the only films that truly captures the disorientation, reality displacement and relentless intensity of a nightmare.

It had nothing to do at all with zombification, only rituals that don’t even demonstrate a successful process. All these Haitian VooDoo movies are the same. None of them are scary at all.

"Fire in the Sky" is a solid shocker, but Walton himself didn't even believe in that nonsense story, look up the clip where he is questioned while connected to a lie detector on a TV show.

If you're wanting to read a good alien book, skip Fire in the Sky and go read Communion by Whitley Streiber. Super creepy, haunting stuff that will stay with you.

Awesome video!!! Can you do The Entity next? It always scared the crap out of me because of the 'based on true events' label...
Also, OMG!!! I had been looking for the name of that movie for ages: Invitation to hell. I'm a Craven fan and didnt know it was his. Just like Someone's Watching Me, from John Carpenter which I only saw this year, there are many made for tv movies from great directors lost to fans!!! Thanx so much!!!

25:26 By "local police," you mean "Tonton Macoute." They were also mentioned - and somewhat glorified (which is weird) - in Shrunken Heads, a Full Moon movie that was directed by Rick Elfman (Danny Elfman's big bro a go go).

Just found this channel this is the first clip I've watched. Off to a good start I'm sick and tired of other horror channels where they simply walk you through the storyline and that's the video I find those lazy and uninspiring. You however have gone thorough finding info and tidbits that make for an interesting watch. Hopefully this video is indicative of the rest of the videos I'll find out soon as this has made me want to check out more.

27:13 The Peytraud character was also partially based on the real life man Luckner Cambronne, aka The Vampire of the Carribean. That's where the more nefarious parts of the character come from. Guy was a real life monster.

Since I'm associated with UFOlogy on Twitter/X, I still get creeped out by Fire in the Sky and holy shit isn't the abduction scene terrifying, especially when Travis squirmed around because he was afraid the aliens would poke his eyes with that needle(the eye is one of the most sensitive body parts on a human next to hands and the genitals, and that same scene scared the absolute shit out of Chris Stuckmann as a kid to the point where he listed it as number 1 in his Childhood Trauma video).
Second, The Exorcist changed the possessed boy's gender to female and the supposed demon to an ancient Mesopotamian entity linked to the Underworld alongside it's queen Ereshkigal(wasn't in The Exorcist, nor it's novels but was a part of Mesopotamian mythology as an allusion to Japanese, Greek, and Norse myth's own queens of the netherworld Izanami, Persephone, and Hel), Pazuzu(had the face of a dog, one horn on his head, bird-like wings and talons for feet, a humanoid appearance, and serpentine penis). There were several exorcisms done to the boy compared to Regan, in fact many; the demon didn't take control of the priest's body and caused him to commit suicide unlike the end of the movie. Other exorcisms adapted to film years after The Exorcist comprised of a controversial religious figure like Father Amorth's exorcisms to many who were possessed, including young women in some of Italy's villages and small towns. But I do recall that The Exorcist did accurately portray what the poor boy went through, specifically vomiting, speaking in tongues, crawling on the walls, and masturbating to a cross. The iconic spiderwalk down the stairs from Regan was something original to the movie in fact. I might have misinterpreted most of this trivia but at least I tried my hardest.
