We were absolutely robbed not getting a Behind The Mask sequel.
I’ve been waiting so long for a Leslie vernon sequel. Such an under appreciated movie.
True but am glad we didn't tho let it have a one and done underrated legacy
Leslie Vernon could have been a great meta franchise just as Scream... Right?
I still want my sequel. I even gave to the crowd fund. Got a cool enamel pin and an autograph from Nathan Baesel though
Dude thank you so much for reminding me of this movie!
I love Behind the Mask
I loved Behind the Mask. Leslie Vernon truly stands among the greats, like Freddy, Jason, Michael and Ghostface, in my book.
So Lionsgate wanted them to make a Chainsaw Massacre movie without all things that make it a Chainsaw Massacre movie. Yeah, that would have worked real well 👌
“The best a Texas chainsaw massacre has ever looked”. Like the original doesn’t have some of the most beautiful cinematography ever. The 2003 remake looks great too, same cinematographer
100% would love to see another Leslie Vernon flick.
(Who knows... perhaps after that, we could get a Leslie Vernon Meets Victor Crowley flick.)
Thanks for the List and Video 😀
I rewatched "Behind the Mask" a few months ago. Great movie, and deserved a sequel. I check IMDB from time to time to see if there has been any update. The other films I can take a hard pass.
I've been following it from pretty much day one. The project is dead. Never going to happen.
I would've loved to have gotten a sequel to behind the mask. that was one of the more creative horror movies I've seen. and texas chainsaw 3D isn't the worst in that series, next generation is. NG doesn't even have a single chainsaw kill.
I've never heard of Road of the dead before this video. But there was talk about Twilight of the dead. Wasn't supposed to be the final movie made after Romero's death?
These unmade sequels sound terrible until you remember the sequels/prequels that did end up getting made.
I love these longer JoBlo horror vids. Also, I too want another Leslie Vernon movie. It looks we may get a Trick 'r Treat sequel, maybe we can still get a Leslie Vernon one.
Texas Chainsaw 3D is infinitely better than "The Beginning", and "The Next Generation".
You can’t say TC3D is the worst when The Next Generation exists.
TC3D is the worst.
@@RoyLogan-kn9fn nah lol. The Next Generation is worst
@@DericMyersYT no it ain't.
@@RoyLogan-kn9fn It’s ok to be wrong and you are. The Next Generation is atrocious and it’s not up for debate. But if you like it, that’s fine. But it is the worst one.
It sucks James Wan is stuck doing Aquaman. I’m sure it pays way more though. His horror movies are the best. I hope he makes a return.
He did just do Megan. He usually doesn’t stray far from horror for long
The problem is, the huge budgets they get for these inevitable abominations. And.. The egos.
Couldn't disagree more on your comment of George Romero's dialogue when his dead trilogy are chock full of great quotable lines.
Tobe Hooper & Kim Henkel's 1970s adaptation of The Thing is interesting as it's practically the only unused script for any version of The Thing that can't be found anywhere. Even the Sci-Fi channel sequel series script is available today.
The idea of it was apparently a Sci-Fi version of Moby Dick with a Captain in a submarine battling The Thing underwater in Antarctica. This sounds like a combination of Moby Dick and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. This of course, is much different than both Howard Hawks' and John Carpenter's version, and it's a good thing that Carpenter classic was made instead, but I would really like to see how Tobe Hooper would have went about making his version of The Thing. Many people at the time apparently didn't care for the script very much, but it would be interesting to read today, regardless.
I'd love a ... Mask sequel. Maybe it could somehow play off the comic book, making them the unmade chapter.
As for Road Of The Dead, it may have held SOME promise... ONLY IF GEORGE A. ROMERO could have helmed it.
I would love to see a sequel of Leslie Vernon!❤❤❤
James Wan delving into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre legacy is an awesome idea, and a collaboration with Twisted Pictures would've promised a unique horror experience. While the potential exploration of Leatherface's origins and the Tonkawa tribe angle is intriguing, Lionsgate's misguided push for a safe PG-13 rating feels like a missed opportunity for a raw narrative.
I always thought the tcm family came from the donner party or formed during ww2 or the great depression. 3 times cannibalism would be necessary.
I'm glad this movie was never made
How is Nathan Basel not an A list actor. He's got so much charisma
imo james wan making a TCM fil would likely bring new life into it. hed probably make a really good title into the franchise
I know I'm in the minority......but I feel TC3D is one of the best of all the sequels. I feel it's HIGHLY underrated. It may not be as good as Hooper's sequel or the first 2000's remake, but I feel it is much better than the second 2000's follow up, that terrible Netflix pile and for sure that crazy one from a few years ago where you see a teen Leatherface on the run from a teen mental ward........how you guys don't call that thing worse than TC3D is beyond me.
It's got great appearances from the original cast members, the story is interesting having LF be locked away after the events of the first film.....a very decent antagonist in the Sheriff that took part in vigilante justice back in the day. Yeah, the "do your thing cuz" line was being cringe......but that aside.....I don't feel it as bad as the others I mentioned AND it had some very serious gore in it.
Just think some folks need to at least give it a try or at least a second look.
ngl i love texas chainsaw 3D
i understand the hate but still thinks its awsome
It had potential. I would have liked a sequel or two, depending on the people behind the camera.
It would be cool if James Wann help, make a new text chain saw massacre movie… That series could use a win
I disagree about the Behind the Mask wondow closing. Actually, it's been long enough that maybe he got an appeal and was released early due to good behavior and shotty evidence.
The window is closing in the sense of what iteration they want to do. I think they should of went with the big budget remake. Like El Mariachi was to Desperado.
James Wan = Awesome
Still hoping for another Behind the Mask. Leslie needs return.
When it comes to zombies (the dead reanimated) I always felt the slow and ponderous shuffle was the obvious way to go. With the infected (alive but . . not quite ones self), running around like a rage fuelled lunatic was fitting. When I see the dead running around, chomping at the bit, I always wonder why the writer didn't just go the infected route. A two week old corpse moving from a prone position on the floor to locomoting at a speed Usain Bolt would silently nod his head at has never sat well with me. I mean, there has to be some logic in these fantasy films . . . doesn't there?
The logic is that just like any feral animal low on food. They run at full speed towards the first sign of it. They arent supposed to act like humans. Theyre supposed to be humans acting like they got a flesh eating virus and rabies. The fact the 28 days later is the 1st time zombies ran makes NO SENSE, if ur dog if hungry, what do they do? Theyre no longer in touch with their human selves and can think of only one thing. To say that maybe ppl who were turned/havent had flesh in a month+ should be slow makes sense... but why tf do you expect a "dead" human with all of its muscular structure intact and an undying thirst for human flesh to not run at people? Thats just dumb. Of course they would. Do tigers and bears just slowly walk you down until you submit to being eaten? Get real.
Absolutely loved the first Leslie Vernon and would do terrible things for a sequel. It’s the first movie I tell friends about when they ask what they should watch. Well that and the documentary “Dear Zachary” 🤣
Lionsgate made them change tcm 3d from the 90s to modern day,cut the budget and changed the script
Behind The Mask is the only one of these three ideas I want to see
And I really want to see it
Title said “unmade sequels” and had Leslie Vernon in the thumbnail…IMMEDIATELY intrigued
Why is it sooooo friggin difficult for people to make a good Texas Chainsaw film??????
Also, its sooo difficult to decide which film is worse... 2013 or 2022
Did he say texas chainsaw 3D was the worst in the franchise. I thought it was a very good movie one of my favorites.
george "ro-MEER-O"? jesus. and, of course, you say it SO MANY TIMES!
I would give Matthew Mcconaughey's version a golden ticket compared to Leatherface
What’s the movie on the left of the thumbnail?? That was one of my favorites as a kid and I’ve been wondering the name for no joke like a year
Behind the mask
id like more videos like this
'It's 2022 and we don't seem any closer to a sequel'
Jfc get your shnit together when dredging up backlog out of the toilet
Texas Chainsaw 3-D is far from the worst entry into the series. Did you forget The New Generation? RoboLeg and no cannibalism but instead pizza and the inclusion of the Illuminati.
THE LESLIE VERNON SEQUEAL AND THE TEXAS CHAINSAW UNMADE ONE IT SHOULD HAPPEN. AND THE GEORGE A. ROMERO ZOMBIE UNMADE FILM IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HIM.
Anyone know what tobe hooper's son is doing? I haven't heard any input from him
Another Leslie Vernon movie would be great. I've been waiting.
Ok that TCM I would like to see.
Why does Scream 3 always get dissed?
How do the later bad “of the Dead” movies take away some the “shine” of the movies that came before? If anything they make the older movies “shine” just that much more because they’re clearly orders of magnitude better than the recent movies, further cementing them as classics.
Road of the Dead was a horrible idea and I'm glad it didn't' work out. Land of the Dead, Survival of the Dead and Diary of the Dead were all bad movies imo. I prefer to draw the line at watching the Romero classics, the Dawn remake and the Savini remake.
Do ur thang cuz..
I have a question, why do your videos start with Midway of a sentence? Great videos but just the start. It's always like you're having a conversation with somebody and then oh wait. Let me turn on the recording
Twilight of the Dead (TBA)?
the sequel to leslie vernon should be about him retiring and training his replacement
The original idea was for a trilogy. The 2nd was supposed to be a prequel. And the 3rd was a retired Leslie helping police to catch a serial killer.
I'd love to see zombies racing... idk.
Horror 😈👍
Whats the movie is at 2.53
I haven’t seen it but isn’t it Bonesaw Tomahawk?
@@DericMyersYT thx I'll check it out
@@DericMyersYT
Just *Bone Tomahawk, and it's grisly, eerie fun.
Old West style.
Road of the Dead is Death Race 2000 (or it’s remake) with Zombies…. It sounds dumb.
There is only one true TCM and that is obviously the 1974 original. The original parts 2 and 3 were good but wow after that everything is trash
Instead of paying ‘homage’ people should come up with their own ideas.
No wonder Aquaman and The Conjuring are so bad.
Road of the Dead would've been garbage.
James Wan Texas Chainsaw Massacre, someday I hope. Absolutely NO interest in Behind the Mask. Road of the Dead? His zombie ideas get worse every installment.
Glad that James Wan Chainsaw Massacre series didn't happen. Sounded overwritten. Not good at all.
That leatherface sounded terrible
The last 2 TCM not great fright night reboot was meh child's play reboot I thought was kind of trash they changed too much poltergeist reboot absolutely terrible these reboots can make money if there good look at IT but there so hailf assd they should be a love letter to original. I know I'm off topic but I could've have done better with child's play reboot.
I liked 3D... minus the trash one liners and acting.
Zero views!
The Netflix Tcm is great, definitely one of the best
George’s daughter is making a woke living dead movie
Yes 3D was not a good film but compared to that Woke bingo shit show in 2022 its a master piece.
The Behind the Mask sequel never really getting off the ground is such a massive bummer. The Rise Of Leslie Vernon is the best, most unique slasher since Scream.
*meta slasher
