This so-called expert is 23 and he is talking about "Changes he has seen". He isn't old enough to have seen long term changes to the environment. I bet most of the "changes he has seen" is stuff that other people told him. The fact that he was put in front of Congress tells you that they don't have any true experts.
I remember DC telling us the ice caps are melting. While I watch Sid on Deadliest Catch who is actually there, can't even get to the northern fishing grounds because the polar ice is packed farther south than it has been in years.
How has this kid seen any changes? I'm nearly 70, and haven't seen any difference in the weather. Summer seemed hotter when I was a kid, but we didn't have air conditioning.

I don't think that is true. At the present time the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is about 400 ppm. It is increased to about 700 ppm in greenhouses to improve plant growth. According to internet sources the concentration of carbon dioxide in the past ranged between 3000 and 9000 ppm which is one of the reasons we are blessed with fossil fuels today. @@JamesMilne-hi2ot

Anecdotal "evidence" is completely worthless. An "expert" who doesn't know that CO2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere.
Now wait a minute.........you go back 6 million years, and the entire atmosphere was CO2.
Actually, that percentage is grossly inaccurate. I've seen the recent pie chart of atmospheric gases, and they don't relate with older textbooks from the seventies and earlier.

You don’t need an expensive lift ticket for cross country skiing and the equipment is much cheaper. Downhill skiing costs much more than cross country skiing.
Not true. No lift ticket required (most XC venues are free, or you can just head to the backcountry) and the gear is about 1/2 the cost of an Ikon Pass. XC is definitely more budget-friendly than downhill skiing.

Just because the climate is changing doesn't mean it has anything to do with man made pollution, the climate of earth has ALWAYS been changing. At one point in our history there was an ice age, so what caused the "global warming" after that time that brought us to where we are now? There weren't cars 100,000 years ago when the ice age started and for most of the 25, 000 years after that ice age ended, so the world climate has been getting warmer steadily for the past 100,000 years.
