In South Texas it will be in the 90's sometimes getting towards midnight. But usually it is in the mid to upper 80's at night in the summer. But, we'll have 100+ days for weeks and even months

Speaking as a Floridian who has lived in Palm Beach county since 1970, ( 7 years old then) let me clarify on the people leaving Florida or at least, Southern FL. Many of these people are like my friends and myself who have seen skyrocketing rent, homes, land, etc. . Because people from NY,NJ, etc . are pouring in , and for many who have been here a long time, its overwhelming and really sad to see what was, is no longer. I'm still here , for couple years, then its off to the panhandle where I will miss my ocean terriblely ( im a surfer ) . None of this is Desantis' fault, he's a great Governor. Its just the friggin way it is . And its depressing.

I've been in So Flo since 1973 and feel the exact same way. I hope more of them leave. This explains why there are less diaper faced people driving alone and in Publix

Well, Texas is a great choice for many reasons.
Mountains, ocean, flat land, rolling hills, way lower taxes. Money goes way further, a lot of guns and ammo, freedom from a ton of regulations that hurt people and businesses, most people work and work hard and give respect to each other, respect for elders, plenty of houses of worship of your choice, a lot of live stock, a ton of freedom, no state income tax on your labor of your own hands, speed limits run 65 to 85 mph.
If you work hard, you can make money and build wealth, it's ok to have more than 1 gun, and more than 10 bullets or rounds , some have 10 to 100 guns and magazines of 20 to 800 rounds with special cylinders, and you can hunt and fish freely and you have real neighbors.
I lived in Texas 27 years, and Florida a bit over 20 and other states.
Florida was great, but way too many regulations and a huge tourist state.
Texas is fantastic and just enough regulation and rules to stay safe and not burden businesses and the people to be free.

Actually armadillos do not carry a lot of diseases they do have leprosy sometimes but I think I read that there's never been a case of a human catching leprosy from an armadillo! We love our armadillos shoot they get rid of a lot of critters that you don't want in your yard and they absolutely don't ever try to attack you or anything they're very mild mannered and they really do keep to themselves!

It's not just Florida that has disgruntled newcomers (NOT talking about ILLEGAL ALIENS). A few months ago, I read about some people who were originally from Kalifornistan who had moved to Charlotte, NC. The article said that they were moving BACK to Kalifornistan because they were disappointed with the lack of nightlife. News flash!! People in the South WORK for a living!!! They typically aren't out running the streets 7 nights a week because they have to get up in the morning. But go ahead and do what The Beatles sang about and get back to where you once belonged!
Maybe ... they should have investigated Charlotte on the internet and vacation there BEFORE moving. Those who voluntarily move to a place and complain were likely the reason the place they left sucked. I’ve had to move for work many times and regardless of how strange the new place initially was, I hated to leave when the time came.

Traffic is horrible, as soon as i hit Palm Beach my one hour trip to Fort Lauderdale turned in to 4 hours
I call BS on this. I live almost 300 miles north of Palm Beach and I can make it to Ft. Lauderdale in about 4.5-5 hours any time of year. I've done it on all major holidays over many years as my wife has family there and we visit almost all holidays and long weekends.

As someone who lives in FL, it's never 100 degrees at night. Depending on the season it could drop down to between the 80s to the 40s.
I've lived in Florida most of my life and between all these horrible people that have moved here the massive amounts of traffic the vastly increasing prices of everything and generally rude people that recently moved here you have extreme heat and hurricanes so I can understand why people would want to move
The rude people are the transplanted NYers. Traffic? Have you ever driven the NE corridor? Prices are increasing everywhere, it's called inflation. I've been through a heat wave in the NE that lasted 6 weeks and no one had A/C in their houses which made it even worse. Remember Hurricane Sandy a few years back? So they in the NE get hurricanes too. You know what weather Florida doesn't get? Blizzards!

Recently, a fellow New Yorker moved down here to Tennessee, and one of the first things he did was complain to the POA that there shouldn't be guns in the public places in the community. No pun intended, but that idea was shot down right away. You don't like guns and you moved to TN? Talk about not doing your research.
