@@pillbobaggins2766 Her illusions can definitely *conceal* sound, since she hid the engine noises for Roman's getaway airship the first time she confronted team RWBY in person. She might be able to project Roman's voice to fit the illusion, or maybe Roman's just good enough at improv acting to play along.

As for Blake... Yeah I will give it to you, but the other two? No way!

@ChrisMorray Cinder managed to get two hits in, neither very damaging though. Neo managed to get 3 not very damaging but to Cinder before the Maiden powers came into play. In both of her previous fights she has not gotten hit though.
The thing is, Torchwick’s death was 100% Cinder and Salem’s fault. Ruby had, by all rights, lost her fight to Torchwick then out of nowhere a Grimm kills him. My hope is that Neo gains this information in the future and sides with team RWBY. I imagine a fight between Neo and Ruby and of course Neo is beating the absolute crap out of Ruby, but Ruby notices the sadness behind the anger in Neo’s eyes and stops fighting back. This of course angers Neo even more, but as Ruby’s getting the crap beaten out of her, she’s is calmly apologizing and explaining what happened after Neo got blown away.

@Ruby Rose long story short naruto gets beaten the shit out of by some chick basically taking in all the anger and blame and all that anyways. The song mostly is aimed at cinder if you listen enough I feel like Neo will A. know that it's not really just Rubys fault and will use cinder to get to her and wait for a chance to kill them both B.She strays from Cinder finds rwby and because of anime logic, Ruby isn't gonna take the fight with her seriously cause from the hat she will know why she's there and somehow explain it's not her fault, and from that she might join rwby in helping them out or go lone wolf to kill her which for me is unlikely why? C. If your here you saw the fight and so at the end when cinder and Neo make a truce she saw that she couldn't beat cinder saw her raw power, and so she leads to one of my two theorys, which in turn I doubt she will go lone wolf again and basically my two Points A. and B. lead to eatch other cause I can bet neo WILL fight ruby and find out the truth from there C. Which I explained is highly doubted
Ruby Rose Naruto likes convincing bad guys to be good guys. Ether after letting them beat the crap out of him, or after beating the crap out of them; sometimes both. Good anime, highly recommend it.

Neo may be a neutral party in the main story but it's obvious from this song that her main target is still cinder. I am going to love watching her betray her at the worst possible moment cause let be honest Cider is not in top form and is severly out matched if she continues down this path she will die unless if that fan theory about her now being immortal comes true.
I want to see them get to Ruby and Neo is going to want answers scenario 1. And when she finds out Ruby didn't kill him she might fight cinder with ruby? Because cinder is indirectly responsible for Roman's death for getting him to help her. But then again by my own logic Ruby is also indirectly responsible for his death because he was experiencing lots of negative emotions twords her so scenario 2 so maybe a three way fight Neo vs. Cinder vs. Ruby? But I still want my first idea to be the one.

There are numerous points to Cinder having fought one of Neo's decoys in the bar while the real one was the Neo fought with the hat.
That is why Cinder said "nice trick" or her having improved or why the other Neo had a hat and her clothes being torn and having literally holes in her jacket unlike the Neo from inside the Bar. Hell, the Neo inside the Bar even has a different attitude and expressions, total 180 than the one outside from smiling with her smug expression and cheeky behavior to the one who was brooding, angry and determined as fuck when fighting Cinder outside.
There are so many difference between the two.
I think the OP meant Neo was hit once by Raven. Cinder didn't hit her but she definitely got whacked by that sword in volume 2.

I must say, I've seen your opinion about Neo on twitter and even though I'm big fan of her I've to admit you're right... She doesn't have any backstory... And probably won't be "talking about her past" in the futur... which make her character developpement potentially weak...
However I love how Rooster Teeth took up the challenge of making a character that could convey as many emotions without a single word... I love how her fighting style is simple yet skillful... And a lot people lot that charisma of hers...
My opinion is that "the unknown" is a big part of what's making her a good character... I liked not knowing whether she was mute or not... I figure her psychopathic tendancies to be "You wanna know how i got those scars" thing, something scary because you cannot understand it...
This song proves that creators want to explain her now... And she has some potential to be grown as a good character...
Maybe she IS an overated character, she probably is... But being able to get so much fans in so few screentime is not common.

The thing is, Neo is overrated, yes. She was barely in the show, and doesn't speak. Had no impact whatsoever and the story would've been exactly the same if she didn't exist. However, she was beloved becuase her fighting style was awesome and her character design is incredible. The lack of information about her also prompts more people to make headcanons, fanart, and theories.
For years fans begged RT to bring her back "just cuz". I commend RT for not just caving in, becuase there was no place in the story for her to make some kind of "grand return".
That's why Volume 6 has totally impressed me. They brought her back in a way that was totally natural. She just shows up and starts fighting. They don't act like the story has now changed, becuase it hasn't. It was a very tasteful way of bringing her back. And now the initial awe is out of the way, there is some natural room to add to her character if the writers want to. The fans are happy, the critics are happy, and the show didn't suffer any slowdown.
Perfect episode.
And yet with one awesome fight scene and an incredible song to go with it, we learn so much about Neo.
She was more than likely an orphan on the same streets as Roman. He came across her one day and was taken in by her adorableness plus the fact that she saved him from getting arrested. He helped clothe her in something more than rags and trained her (similar to how Qrow trained Ruby). She became smitten with him and they were an incredible couple. He tried giving her some time to run around on her own but when one of his biggest jobs was thwarted (V1E16), he got her to come and help which she did happily, overjoyed to be back with her man.
I like Neo because she is so shrouded in mystery. I find mysterious characters like her appealing. I think it's because I don't open up easily to others that makes mysterious characters so appealing to me. I can relate to them more.

This song is most likely about Neo being sad about Roman's death and wanting to get revenge from Cinder and/or Ruby for Roman's death after got eaten by a grimm.
Look at the lyrics especially the
"Gone's the life, That he gave, Now revenge is all I crave"
And
"I had one thing, And you've taken it from me, A single light, A single friend, But you've made that end"
Gosh reading these sentences made me tear up a little. You can see how she really really sad about Roman's death. Roman really does meant a lot for her. He is more than a boss for her. And I can feel the rage of Neo in the song. She is craving revenge especially from Cinder because (duh) she is the one of the main cause for the Fall of Beacon. And for Ruby I still don't know about that yet but we'll see.
Now I'm just hype to see the backstory for Neo and Roman.
Actually we may have heard a bit of it already. Would like to point out the subtle nod to "Die" In Neos comeback music which is dubbed "One thing" which I always felt like that was Neos theme "Kill for kill eye for eye blood for blood it's time to die" now I'm about to blow your minds what's the name of the episode that Neo is featured in? "The coming storm" One of the lines from "Die" is "the futures looking blek and the storm is set to Rise" cool right, Also another connection is "but revenge is always sweet and chaos is the prize" and in her new theme "One thing" it says "Retribution taste so sweet" my theory is "Die" is Neos theme and Romans theme if you listen to "Die" then the score from her fight "One thing" it kinda fits in, adding on to that is the Brunswick theory, in the episode Ruby glares at a family photo, one of them being a family of 3 mom, Orange hair'd dad and son, and the son doesn't look like he wants to be there so with all that connected I think we might have a idea of it.

So Neo blames Cinder for Roman's death. The song hints at what was already implied, that Roman and Neo were friends. While Cinder coerced Neo into working with her to kill Ruby at the moment, I'm thinking that Neo is going to turn on Cinder the moment it's convenient. Sure Cinder says that it's Ruby's fault Roman is dead. It's Cinder, think Neo believes her? No rational person should ever trust Cinder.

Apparently, Neo actually has a voice actress.
I don't know if they'll ever have Neo make a noise on the show...but wish granted, at least within Blaz Blue Crosstag Battle, Neo still doesn't talk since she's mute, but they did have Casey do the voice work for Neo's grunts, cries, and stuff like that.
This song really shows how important Torchwick was to Neo, he was everything to her. Hell, she calls him her light. If we get Neo and/or Torchwick backstory, it’s gonna hit my emotions like a truck.

The song remembers me of "Die" from Volume 2.
Backstory from chapter 3 made me realize how funny it is, that most songs of RWBY have lyrics that can be interpreted differently depending of the character(s) you imagine "singing" it. So now, I don't see anymore "Die" as a song from Team RWBY, but maybe from Neo and Roman, if we suppose they were something like brother and sister formerly living in Brunswick Farm.

I can't help but love that every single fight Neo has been in, she's basically beaten her opponent's ass. And in any fight where she knows she's outclassed, she's been smart enough to know to bail on it.

@@dmillz5501 I think she blames Cinder a lot more. While Ruby was at fault; the grim where the ones who actually killed Roman so I think that she may have some blame for Ruby, Cinder will probably be her main focus.
I feel like she saw the power Cinder has and feels like she cant beat her by herself and since Cinder told her that she's looking for Ruby, she might have taken the chance and is waiting until they get to Ruby to fight her there, where she might have some advantages.
Now we need a Neo backstory. I want to know about her childhood, how she meet Torchwick and what he was to her, and most importantly why she can’t talk. And I’m pretty sure that it is that she CAN’T talk not that she WON’T. I think we can expect this at some point this volume since the full song probably goes into some of it. The only problem I see is, who is going to tell her story? Unless Torchwick isn’t dead, which I find very unlikely but plausible, then there really isn’t a known character that could tell their story.
Considering the fact that the only reason she exists as a character is because she was added in a little before volume 2 started because Monty liked someone's genderbent Roman cosplay so much I doubt she has a backstory that will actually ever be shown.

I think she is going to betray cinder but playing it safe to find Cinder's weakness; since Cinder has maiden powers Neo knows she cannot defeat her in that state, thus why she was scared of Raven when the both fought on the train since she knew that Raven was a Maiden. In my theory she'll stab her in the back at last minute once they meet RWBY.
Great job with these Lyric vids, love them all, cant wait to hear the full version of this song...And a Neo song is great, get some thoughts pov etc, always great, Casey and Jeff always deliver great songs, and you add your touch with these vids. I hate that Cinder blames Ruby for Torchwick's death, and that Neo accepts it. CINDER made them take part in the fall of beacon, CINDER made him get captured and put on Ironwood's flagship, CINDER brought all of the Grimm and was SUPPOSED to be 'controlling' them (although we know it was Salem's trick now). Ruby had nothing to do with it apart from opening Neo's umbrella. I really hope that Neo finds out that Torchwick was eaten by Grimm, not killed by Ruby, and turns on Cinder again. Mainly because that fight was awesome and I want more.

Yeah but it you think about it Neo doesn't know. She fell down, last thing she saw was Ruby with Roman. Since Roman is very capable, I think it's a safe assumption for her that's Ruby the one who killed Roman. Beside, she faced cinder open face and she would lose. If I wore her shoes the best course of action would be siding cinder, finding Ruby and killing her and in the meanwhile take advantage of the fight with all team rwby and backstab cinder while she can't fend for herself. It's proven maiden are powerful, not invincible
Cinder is manipulating Neo. I personally believe that Neo is smart enough to know that Cinder is attempting to manipulate her.

I think Roman always hated Cinder and her crew but worked because she was too powerful and its not like he had any allies. Neo being a better fighter and more nth to lose attitude I hope she betrays Cinder and becomes a Maiden

No, I can more see Cinder offing her after she double-crosses her for what happened to Roman. Had he not gotten involved with the madwoman, Roman would still be alive. He was the *one thing* that made life worth living for Neo, losing him *will* bring out the worst in her, and Cinder will experience it in due time.

There's two likely possibilities out of the future.
Either Neo learns the truth and betrays Cinder and Salem for revenge, or Cinder successfully redirects her anger towards Ruby, and she ends up blinded by that rage, which ultimately becomes her downfall.
I'm calling it now.
They've already done it with Adam.

To give some context, on FlyntofRWBY's lyric video of the song "Nevermore," I posted my own parody of the song I called "Forevermore." It's essentially a twist of the song spoken with the POV of Adam Taurus in mind. It gained a lot of encouragement and praise so I decided to try my hand at another song parody. This one being a Roman Torchwick prelude of the above song named "Reality." It's meant to serve as a Roman vs Ruby song leading up to his death.
Seeing as the song is incomplete, not only are the lyrics not final but there's a chance I won't complete the song at all if people don't like it. So you could consider this a test of sorts. Like I said on my "Forevermore" post: I'm not a song writer by any means, I'm simply doing this both for fun and to show my love for the series and the songs born from it.
(FlyntofRWBY, if you see this and want me to stop posting on your videos, then please tell me. The reason I posted my comments here is because your videos are the ones I listen to RWBY songs the most with.)

I like your song and Roman should of gotten his own image song (character song) in Vol 3.
I came here from that parody. You are GOOD. Has some trouble with the syllables not fitting in some places, as did Forevermore, but there are easy fixes for both songs, so well done! You should really try and set them both to instrumentals of the tracks they're derived from.
For anyone paying any attention to this comment thread, I recently made myself a Reddit account and posted this song on the RWBY Reddit (Mostly because I feel guilty for posting it on someone else's RUclips video). In my opinion, Roman was RWBY's best villain, he had style, class, and a sense of humor. He was one of the only three dimensional villains in RWBY. Next to him I think I like Hazel, he's not a weasal like Watts, he's not a nut job like Tyrion (even though I DO like Tyrion) and Cinder is just, well..........Cinder. Hazel has shown time and again that he has a sense of honor, which we first saw in Volume 5 in Sienna's throne room "Nobody needed to die today" and in the final encounter where he told Ren and Nora "I have no wish to fight you two". Then recently in Volume 6 where he took full responsibility for the mission's failure so Emerald and Mercury wouldn't suffer Salem's wrath.
I agree. Roman was by far the best. He was a character that was entertaining and seemed simple at first, but we got hints of a lot more going on under the surface. His motives were relatable and he was just so entertaining and stylish. Not to mention a pretty damn good fighter without any bullshit special powers, just straight skill, technique and strength. Without him RWBY's villains have felt even more flat and boring. Thankfully Hazel has some decent motives and characterization, and Neo's back!
adam had the potential to be a great villian. but instead the team decided to turn him in to a mere one dimensional stalker. if monty didnt die adam would probably have been a great and complex villian
@@cattya4406 I agree 100%, and I think that is why they killed off Roman, they just couldn't write anything better for him than what Monty originally envisioned for him
