I used to think the Where the Light Is era was peak Mayer, but after seeing him live for the first time on this tour and seeing all the videos from the year, I think he's absolutely got it going on now. Tone and decisions throughout the show were just impeccable.
He has sold 20 million albums and has been recognized as a great musician by legends like Eric Clapton and Grateful Dead, so I don't know how underrated he is, but he IS amazing
Cada día amo más a este hombre, este tema ya me parecía el más rollinga de todos y ahora de solo escuchar el guiño de Miss You, naaa! Ya está rendida a tus pies John!!! 😍🔥🎸🔥🤯
Definitely and quite obviously John Mayer and the word Helpless do not go together. However, his playing and this song do. It goes through the roof showcasing his beautiful musical genius and talents. I love it. I love him
@@timporter6112 I believe thats just part of the original song. He usually throws in a little funk every version of every show. Will relisten to see if I pick something up....

So true. Whhhhhhhy didn’t they record a DVD or Netflix special!
Thats a great point. 2017-present Mayer is a whole new animal lol 🐅
2017 mayer was peak guitar form while wtli is peak vocals
@@antoineaquino3055 honestly I think his vocals are getting better and better too the last couple of years, wtli was pretty perfect tho
@@niekvanwensen I think it's hard to properly judge him off phone quality recordings. Regardless, he sounds great
This concert was absolutely amazing, he's so great live
Shout out to the male backing vocal. Though not so much part, but still give the energy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Dude's always happy in John's shows
I would be too!
I love watching backing vocalists! They are always super entertaining and funny to me.
@@WorldElectronica dream job for sure
Man....i watch this video everyday
I was there with my wife, I have always been a fan and now my wife is. John is amazing live, and I am happy I got to see you live!!
I love that miss you part after the first solo!
love that lil "we'll see" he threw in end of verse 2
Because a broken heart is all he will ever be
2:42 crazy good. 😭😫🖤 One of the most underrated artists.

Y’all even peep The Rolling Stones he threw in there?? What a legend
The entire song feels like a stones song, literally from the intro. Said it 10 seconds in the first time I heard it
@@beardown2489 Oh damn, you're so right

That show was something special. Definitely a top-2 AT LEAST.
Awesome! Love this song and it has sounded incredible live through the tour! Thanks for uploading. What camera did you use to record?
Do you have a Video of Good Love is on the way?
What camera do you use to record shows? I love all your JM videos!
I think john has god talent.
I want to be his back up singer
HE PLAYED “THE LICK”
What is he playing during the bridge??!!
Do you mean the riff in the solo? it is Miss you by the rolling stones
@@alecstuckeyguitar Its a mini rib on the fact this song is compared to Miss You. He reincorporates it at the end,as well
@@alecstuckeyguitar No, the riff he's playing while he sings help me

GREAT SONG ALREADY JOHN.
THe stage acrobatics are not needed and look ridiculous.
They add to the performance and it surely pumps up the crowd to see how into it he is - not needed, but id say not ridiculous 🤷🏻♂️.
neeed a biger guitar :))) ....just sayin, please dont throw a warcraft on me :)))
.
Boo?
A boring and mediocre song
ok troll
Disagree. He uses some simple stuff, but he uses simplicity very well
