Very late reply, he definitely did not have right pedal combo at beginning of first solo, however maybe he realized and at 2:13 he stomped on the right one.

Did john…just have a brainfart in that first solo? I swear iv never seen him play anything below absolute mastery. Interesting.

yeah this is the first time I’ve seen him mess up on a whole solo . it’s like he just couldn’t find his footing. it’s inspiring though to know an absolute genius on the guitar has off days too!
