So the biggest question is is that even if they were given so much time, their tattoos still sucked?
Probably the ones who failed, lost it with (TIME MANAGEMENT) or not being it's style tattoo
And the ones who succeded, mastered both, and divided the tattoo on pieces to complete it on time

@@ash_bash_Right. Also, alot of contestants use the time as an excuse claiming their tattoo could've been better if they didnt have that constraint. I dont get it
I’m sure the time limit would still be stressful for many people, even if it’s conflated a bit
Newer seasons the bar has been much higher, even the worst ones are good
@@bryancasco7270they still have a general time limit. It’s just not this serious. & every artist isn’t tattooing up until the countdown.
I'm actually relieved to learn this. Art shouldn't be rushed especially if people are going to live with it forever.

“That’s it. Sharpies down.” I feel so immeasurably lucky. I have the 2 Indian chiefs who led the trail of tears on my back. Done by a genius in Thailand. He took the picture I brought. Taped it to the wall and went to work. 2 days later, a masterpiece. Had work done later on my leg before the knee, and the artist took like 40 minutes to draw his work first. Did a great job, but completely different experience.

Thought so. The new French version was much better... The judges would give advice during the works to the tattooists and there was no bitching or backstabbing. But I don't think it did very well. Shame.

Sounds right. My friend worked on tv and movie sets and said the drama seen on realty tv shows is all staged by producers 🤨

Your channel is 1st one I've subscribed to based solely on it's description. Then I looked at your other videos & almost each one interests me. I haven't found such a channel since 2016 or 17 when I started watching YT.

I figured this was the case when you’d hear a contestant say “I’m not going to have time to finish, it’s not going to be finished” but then when they present the tattoo it’s completely finished 😂

Honestly I’m glad, while watching the show sometimes I just felt like they didn’t always key in on the fact that this is permanently on someone’s body. So honestly I like that the time limits are faked
I highly doubt they got all the time they needed. You can't finish an 8 hour tattoo in this show. They were tattoos where this hour would have been beneficial.

I remember that kind of pissed me off, like yeah obviously he's going to pull up reference pictures and not just try and realistically draw everything from memory 🙄 the canvases never know what they're talking about

At the end of the day, these are tattoos - permanently engraved on a person, so there has to be leeway by way of time to do decent work.
The producers of Masterchef can afford to be firm on time - raw food can be thrown away, but a tattoo is forever so.. I would give them the benefit of doubt for that reason.

After they get done with the challenge, they all meet up in the living room or wherever that room is and I seen it Artis come in later saying all done. I thought it was pretty strange that she came in saying all done but now it makes sense.
I always assumed this. Rushing tattoos is stupid. You're repeatedly putting a needle into someone's skin. You cant rush that shit 😂🤣. Thats not why people watch, they watch for the art.

A tattoo is a very long commitment, off course there's no time limit.... That's like telling a doctor to perform an open heart operation in less than a minute. Can't believe people would fall for that

@@mizzie837 the X-Men one comes to mind. She said she didn't have enough time to do the bowie knives on Warpath so just did a big empty X in front of him... Or the one that Tatu Baby did where she did a photorealistic tiger but didn't finish the bottom. The lady had someone else do it and when Tatu Baby said that she wished the lady would've let her finish it, she said it had been *four years*

Not a deal breaker for me. It makes sense. I’m sure everyone with “time limits” does this or something similar. We kind of suspected it when nobody’s tattoo was unfinished.

The biggest fake thing about Ink Master: when a canvas is being uncooperative, you have to take them and only they can choose not to do the tat. In real life these artists would just tell them “I’m not the one for you” and send them along.
Obviously it’s fake.

Explain how some didn’t finish
Most likely the people being tattooed simply could not bear it any longer. It is a very long time to be under the needle and the damage done in the process can take its toll on anyone. But to show it as that many having to stop before the tattoo is complete would make the show look bad to those who do not understand just how punishing it can be. I have a new one being started this summer (my tattooist is heavily booked up, you have to book six plus months in advance for large work) and the sessions are never longer than 3-31/2 hours and then there is usually around six weeks between sessions to allow the tattoo to heal otherwise unnecessary damage can be caused to the skin. Some heal quicker of course and others slower. Being that this particular tattoo is wings across my back and sides from top to bottom, I have five sessions booked. The last being in Jan 2025. It is not a fast thing.

I feel like this style of show just doesn’t work with the different tattoo processes for different artists. Which if you’re not allowed to have your own process in due time and do whatever you need to ensure a quality tattoo then I’m not sure I actually care about someone being an “ink master”.

As long as you get it done within a reasonable amount of time I don’t have anything wrong with someone going over time/ink master allowing it.. at the end of the day it’s not a footy match it’s a tattoo for life. And they’re judged on it more than how long it took so I’m ok with that
