I like how the gal tells the client, "How many palm tattoos do you see in a room full of artist?" paraphrasing but, yeah she was spot on.
That should’ve been a massive red flag for the clients
@ItCanWait I had to laugh! 😂
@@thesleepydot @bKitteh I think we all know a few, red flags and laugh when people ignore them. haha good stuff. XD
I would’ve been like give me a few dots and get me out 😂
I love how Ryan was tryign to get the client to back out of it ahah
Imagine getting tattooed, loving it, and then hearing the judges say how much it sucks
That’s exactly what I am thinking 😂
personally i'd still find it funny as hell and i have a couple of bad tattoos
I mean if you like it then fair enough. It’s not gonna be a bad tattoo. It’s on inkmasters. The judges are just very critical.
As long as the canvas likes it...
I know I have tattoos that the judges would rip apart, but I love them and that’s what matters

That was the worst team in the season imo. Both mediocre at best (I think the woman was better half) and the guy was constantly doing his own thing even when it was a team challenge.. I'd be super frustrated working with someone like that.
The Queen and King armpit tats were easily the best ones. Judges talking out their ass
I say the same for the eye palm tattoo. They chose that dinky little heart over that? They can be biased and it annoys me
I agree 100 percent
@@zeospark9715 they chose the heart tattoo cuz it was the one that’s going to last. Ryan’s tattoo was great but the judges said that most of those dots wouldn’t last.
@@caiii_i3512 the judges have no room to talk about that because every person handles ink and tattoo healing different. they can't see into the future whether the dots will fall out or not.
I honestly kinda agree with the judge the king looked amazing but the queen was off like u can't tell where the forehead stopped and the nose
That lion fish tattoo on the palm looked absolutely awful, I feel so bad for the lady that had to sit through so much pain and only to end up with a big black spot on her palm.

The sloping forehead with the bulbous what? That tattoo was nearly perfect. I loved the shape of the face
i honestly think they were just taking from their own beauty standards. the face was fine !!!
They hated her because she's a POC.
Yeah idk what they were talking about the queen was gorgeous
Look at the way there's no separation between the forehead and the nose. It's like the nose is directly attached to the skull. Compare it with the king
@@federicapiottoli6922 Yeah, but if it's based off the king and queen in a deck of cards then it's alwayd going to be stylised and unrealistic. Criticising the anatomy is stupid because it's not meant to be spot on, and anyway, it still ends up looking cool.
That girl who took responsibility for herself to stick up for her teammate around 21:25 warmed my heart. Even if she didn't truly feel that way, that was so sweet of her and took a lot of balls to admit when she wasn't even the one directly getting the criticism

Lord Sakazuki what does this have to do with the 1900’s..? anyone who reads sheet music will probably cringe at the tattoo lol
edit: i see they deleted their comment so to make my response make sense, they said something along the lines of, “who cares? this isn’t the 1900’s”.
edit pt.2: the person who got the tattoo probably isn’t trained or well-versed in reading sheet music. a lot of people will just look up the chords instead of reading sheet music while they’re playing an instrument like guitar or piano. It’s pretty common. I imagine them as someone that just rly loves the art of music & wants to get a tattoo that symbolizes that. even if you don’t read sheet music you can still get a staff tattoo symbolic of music- + that would explain why they didn’t recognize the mistakes. It doesn’t mean they know nothing about music… that’s kinda contradictory given the context...

@@federicapiottoli6922 It is not. Have you ever seen people like Liam Neeson from the side? His nose nearly connects directly to the forehead because of how little of a bridge there is. It's called having a "high radix."
I didn't think anything was wrong with the queen armpit tattoo, not every woman in a tattoo is supposed to be Megan fox or something. Especially on a medieval art it's not supposed to be about the person it's about ornamentation.
Yeah it looked amacing to me. I loved it
yeah was just looking for this comment. The tattoo looks really good and the woman is very pretty. I don't see an issue with the tattoo.
Yes, I love that tatoo!
ikrrr!! i was so angry at his comment, both the tattoo and the woman looked great.
I wouldn't call it medieval art. It's more playing cards, which is exactly that style. Simple lines, harsh curves/angles, and rich colors. Either way, it's stylized and fits what it's supposed to be. As a woman I like BOTH tattoos, even if the queen isn't "appealing".
That lion fish tattoo sure was ... ahem ... *sketchy*

Surprising to me that these people want neck/palm tattoos when they don’t have other tattoos that are visible in street clothes. I know quite a few artists who won’t tattoo those areas unless you’re already heavily tattooed.

Right. I didn't got my first tattoo on my biceps cuz the artist was afraid it'd too painful for me to handle, so we decided to replace it. I'm grateful for her.

Not them saying the Queen wasn’t an attractive face when it’s the splitting image of my own side profile....
her profile was beautiful and i’m sure yours is too! the fact that they hold literal drawings to traditional human beauty standards is ridiculous. those standards can stick it 💖
Most of the comments about the queen are disagreeing with them though. I thought she was beautiful. Just noticed her nose is very similar to mine lol.
the queen was so beautiful
@M W what’s good my namesake?
The Queen Side profile looks extremely identical to mine too.

I would have loved to have seen some post-healing photos for the palm tatoos.
"the sloping forehead and bulbous nose isn't an attractive look" well Someone has a very eurocentric idea of beauty. that face was gorgeous. :/
CyborgOctopus i was so confused when he said that. I didn’t see anything wrong with it
Yeah. A bit sad to think about
Yeah and it's also just like a very common look for playing cards, I didn't think there was anything off with it
Yeah that didn’t sit right, I notice he rails a lot on the women in tattoos being super hot. That’s just how they drew women in that time period, high foreheads and noses like that were the beauty standard so they were exaggerated in art then.
And who cares if he personally feels it’s attractive or not? Lol he should judge the tattoo on how good it is, not whether he’s attracted to it.
i thinks it’s kind of dumb that they get points off if their client wants color. like what are they supposed to do
Ikr. Like there getting it done for FREE.....and they know its a competition
I’m surprised none of the artists have done something like “I can do black and white now, but contact me after it’s healed and I’ll do the color for free if you still want it”. Great way to compromise for the competition, but still get the client what they want.
@@ace.l.w that's not how it works my friend, you can't just go with color over a black and white /grey tattoo and then its gets colorized XD
@@yungsmirnov8493 you can fill areas in that don't have any ink though...

What the hell the queen tattoo looks Amazing and her side profile was perfect for the style
19:31 I disagree I think the girl looks very attractive and unique. Girls don’t need to have a perfect lil nose and forehead to be considered beautiful. It made the girl in the tattoo unique and it matched the art style they were both going with.
The music notes were facing the wrong way, and there are only 5 lines in a staff
The canvas probably hates that tattoo. If they like music itll bother them everytime they look in the mirror
Easy fix though

It kinda sucks how yes some of them can talk their canvases out of getting something too complicated or that'll wear off but c'mon there's still gonna be ones that absolutely won't change it from color ect no matter how much you try and compromise
I totally agree. That’s beyond unfair.
And they shouldn't be punished for really difficult people who will not listen.
The judge: “The sloping forehead and the bulbous nose.. not the most attractive look for this lady”
Me with Mediterranean features:😧
it's not the features themselves... i think... im not sure how they were looking at it. i think it's that the proportions were pushed too far for the tattoo
I’m surprised that no one gives the canvas’s credit, they have to go through the pain. Like imagine getting a tattoo on your ARMPIT and not saying anything
It’s free and they signed up for it
Mhm! Even if it is free the pain is still terrible. Armpits are one of the most painful spots on your body to get tattoo and most artists will try to convince you out of it
Apart from the fact that it's completely free and they know what they sign up for, the bits where they take breaks, curse and/or sweat, etc are cut out because no one wants to see that.

Same... She's maybe not perfect but I mean real people are also not perfect
I felt the same, his portrait had an olden days look to the queen
She looks like what cleopatra looked like
seriously, she reminded me of those old paintings
How is it their fault though if they can't talk someone out of something? What are they supposed to do?
I mean, as a designer you are supposed to take what they tell you they want and give them what they really want. Part of being a good tattoo artist is recognizing what works where on the body and how to talk to your clients about that
@@rsmith6425 yeah but they should understand its a competition. And there getting it done for free...
@@rsmith6425 People that aren't tattoo artists can be very stubborn because they dont understand how shit works even when a professional is trying to explain it to them. In the real world difficult clients would be rejected but the artists cant do that in this competition. You cant give someone what you believe they want without passing the ideas through them first. They're permanently changing their skin. If they say no it means no. They have to say yes. There's only so much you can do to try and convince them.

Still dont get what’s the point in picking these canvases for the show, knowing they want shit tattoos. Its not the artist’s fault and they’re pretty much setting them up for failure

As someone who’s never gotten a tatt, watching this show, and the mess ups just reenforces my decision to not get them.
I like well thought out and meaningful tatts, I just know myself, and would hate it after a week.
I feel like you are less likely to get those types of mess ups in real life. There is much less pressure when it's not a competition
Just put work into finding YOUR artist that specializes in the style you want
No tattoo artist that respects themselves would participate here
I drew my own tattoo...was just doodling in my notebook. and was like wow I like this. colored it in...took the picture to the shop. the artist took my picture home made a stencil, straightened the lines and put that baby on my back.
edit: I was "doodling" as part of a grieving process...so my tattoo is meaningful..it's abstract. I guess my point is if you have an idea of what you want. do your best to draw it and explain your vision to the artist. wait for the artist to come back with the stencil and see if their interpretation captures what you want. look at their portfolio online to see their application. I lucked out. I went to the only tattoo shop in town, paid the man and he nailed it.
which is why you thoroughly look at the stencil first, then think about the placement and really make sure that is where you want the tattoo, and check up on the tattoo while being tatted to keep the artist from fucking up too badly
This is why I'd never get a tattoo - between the ages of 16 to 18 I had planned and drew sketches of a whole arm sleeve and then I turned 18 and realised I didn't really like the sketches so much...

Getting tattooed: “o no this isn’t cool.”
these people are literally acting like there aren’t people attached to the place they are tattooing. they are criticizing the tattoos infront of the person who had that tattoo permanently marked on them and call these humans “canvases”
edit: fixed misspellings
I somewhat agree, although the "canvases" signed up for it and know exactly what they are getting into (and can always say no)
I think the language surrounding the tattoos and clients is just very dramatized for the show
Also, by what I've watched, when "a canvas" can't tolerate the pain and the tattooer simply can't finish the tattoo, the judges criticize the tattooer.
@@annieliina ik. like they cant control the pain tolerance of that person.
I know where you're coming from but I kinda disagree. The people who are getting tattooed signed up for it; they know what the competition implies, which is criticism of the tattoo even during the process, so the artist can get what's wrong before finishing.
And about the canvas thing, I think it's not that deep. Artists call canvases the surface they do their art on. A tattooer's canvas is a human.
However, I do think that the artists should not be mad or overly criticize the canvas if it's feeling a lot of pain. They are humans too, and if they're in pain it's not their fault, but the tattooer's.
@@el-maiki same, they used dead pigs in some competitions and called pigs canvases. unlike real they cannot express their opinions because those pigs are dead, pork if you will dear sirs and madams
Not sure how tf Anthony won the adaptability under chin when he literally avoided the under chin at all costs. Like if you look at the moon it’s hella faded and not very clear. It’s just a neck tattoo the dude with the triangle should’ve won for sure
Imagine getting a chin tattoo from someone who wasnt confident.
icl, the matching lady bug tattoos in the second challenge were literally some of the worst ? not sure why they were praised considering the difference sized legs, the messy eyes on jessys one or even the difference sized spots
Yeah but they looked like the same thing just if the artist messed up
They have shit taste in tattoos. Thats why they thought it was good.
You will tattoo an extremely painful part of the body.
The canvas: 😐
Edit: I know it still probably hurt, it was just funny how some seemed unfazed
Honestly, I was mind blown how they sat pretty damn still. Like, you ok??
The fact that Anthony won the challenge without tattooing the underchin is so great and also horrible.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," statement rings true... As long as the canvas happy with what they got... I don't think the judges opinions really matter 😂
The King and Queen were fire tho 🔥👑
You would think the canvas’s would clean out their ears before going on tv with close up shots of their ears🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️smh
I wanna see if they actually did disappear from the palms
hopefully the lion fish one does
"On gothic ice-cream cone day. You nailed it"
😂😂😂
I loved the king and queen! I wonder how much it is for a tattoo that size and saturated in color? It was my fav out of all the armpit ones
Yeah it looked good except the forehead on the Queen Tattoo. In my country you definetly would pay a few hundred dollars to maybe over a thousand for both of them depending on the artist.
1:35 It always blows me away how uninformed the person being tattooed is in regards to the technicality of the tattoo. You'd think getting a permanent mark on your body would encourage someone to do their homework.
Love how long these videos have been!!
The show is cancelled now
Since it’s cancel they can post longer videos
It’s crazy how fast the edited out Oliver Peck.
Why did they edit him out?
@@jmsdesigns4today I think bc he did blackface
Fuck the racist pos
The fact that these people are able to do this on the body makes me have so much respect for tattoo artists all around the world....Man i cant even draw on a paper.
used to binge watch this series when I was younger now I’m tattoo obsessed
dave “wait theres more” navaro
"Who are these people where do you find these people?!" I feel like hes the only one who just had enough of the reality tv and is concerned about the canvas
watching each of their faces drop when they get told where they’re tattooing is so funny 😭
Would it hurt really bad to put your arm back down after getting an armpit tattoo?? 😭
Jade Ewing I just think about how bad the itching must be
Not to mention the sweating
