- On Ink Master: Redemption, artists were offered the opportunity to correct a tattoo for an unhappy canvas. Often, they make things right. In some cases, though - like these - the canvases opt to get tattooed by another artist, leading to an awkward situation for all.

Lista is so rude and petty. Nick is super nice and gave her literally exactly what she asked for, and she acts like he's a moron for it. Steve's tattoo is cool, but it's not at all what she asked for. She freaked out over some spikes on a vine because she hadn't asked for them, but then chose a tattoo that was the exact opposite of what she asked for.
She's on the spectrum, she doesn't control her actions that much.

I think freaking out a little when your artist gives you something you didn't agree on is understandable. That being said, I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for an artist to deal with someone who does not know what they want.

Steve was defending Nick in a very respectful way and Dave just letting Nick tattoo him is just great.
Anthony’s demeanor is truly what I strive for. He is so level headed and calm when dealing confrontation.
The canvas he lands is not going to be leaving his shop disappointed.
As a matter of fact, he just might get some apprentices out of the whole thing.

@@risingstars3478 he's basically saying he can't read her mind, that she has to tell him what he wants. The mind is complex and holds alot of thoughts feelings emotions ect. The analogy he made is basically like saying you can't read one page, or skip alot of pages and expect the understand whole book. Much like her giving vague details or changing her mind every second.
Nick was so overjoyed to tattoo Dave. He got the better end of the deal there. She was a piece of work.

I thought the same thing! I even replayed the part a couple times over to see if I missed anything. Unless he said something off camera, which could be the case, then I get it. If that man was completely disrespectful but I don't think that's the case. He seems like a nice dude and was even the bigger person to apologize!
And let’s not forget, Josh screwed himself over by bringing in (what was at the time when they filmed season 5) illegal drugs, when the rules stated perfectly clear that anyone who participated in the competition were NOT allowed to have AT ALL. And yet he’s gonna act like a little bitch to someone who wasn’t even disrespectful to begin with? Seriously, I don’t know why not enough people shit in him for all of that.
Dave asking Nick if he wanted to tattoo him was the nicest thing ever. Dave could see that Nick tried his hardest to do what she wanted but she’s just crazy so you really can’t please her. She said a million ideas and Nick made them come together into one and she still didn’t like it. I’m glad Dave out of the kindness in his heart gave Nick that opportunity.

Idk how Josh thought the canvas was disrespectful! He was so chill, had legit complaints, and just wanted it fixed. The most important thing in any field is good customer service, and you need the right attitude to be an ink master. Josh isn’t the person wearing the tattoos for the rest of his life. It’s crazy and it bothers me so much how Josh behaved.

I think there is autism by Josh, and he was totally overstimulated, than he must shut himself down.. and is not get-at-able anymore. He just can't help it and he must feel very alone when something like this is happening. Maybe this can give you some answers.

When Cleen's canvas was challenging Anthony's right to be Ink Master he got an "oh crap" look on his face. He was there to compete but he also respects other artists for their talents and tear Anthony down is not why he was there

I am glad that Kyle did the tattoo. It was a relief seeing the client have such a great experience instead of having to work with Josh who is always annoying.
I love how Steve handled it with Litsa and Nick tbh. He really had Nick's back and managed to support him without being disrespectful to her. That's a professional right there.

Anthony and Cleen have to be like top 5 best artists on Ink Master their work is absolutely sick, and they just kill it everytime.
Steve hit the nail on the head, you can’t please someone that has no idea what they want. Josh acted like a 5 yr old. The canvas wasn’t bad at all compared to some of them. I wouldn’t want to be tattooed by such a temperamental baby. What do you expect from someone that was kicked off the show because he felt like breaking a contract was no big deal.
Nick, my guy, there was no redemption to be found with that canvas. Steve knew it, Dave knew it, the camera knew it, we knew it, the damn tattoo machine knew it.
I’m sure later she’ll say there’s something wrong with Steve’s design months after it’s healed.

I’ve got absolutely no words for Dave. Not only lifted Nick's spirit in the biggest way possible, kept his respect up even with an ink master, but also reduced the tension in the shop. Was so chill about it too. He deffo adds life to the ink community

Dave Navarro is a beast. Such a kind and considerate man, but so funny and professional at the same time. When he was playing with Nick while he was tattooing the dagger, I was dying. The "Oh you're gonna pull that line that way?" in a joking tone killed me. We need Ink Master back.

Scripting is what it is. I am sure these artists would be like "I'm not dealing with you" or have a "Go away" attitude. Not this that is shown on TV.

Funny how Jason called for Clean's redemption. When they were talking on what he liked , he specifically mentioned to Clean that he likes crazy pumpkin. But when he was presented with the designs, immediately chose not the crazy pumpkin design which is obviously Clean's.😅

The pumpkin was sick and a great design but Anthony’s was absolutely outstanding.

Dave genuinely cares about the people who are competing on this show, and it shows through his actions with Nick. Dave could see how hurt and frustrated Nick was and found a way to help him feel better, on his own volition.

I love how that finale canvas came in guns blazing, and Anthony calmly just said "hey, that rubbed me the wrong way" and he just backed down immediately. Hahahahaha
The premise of that section was just weird. I feel like they must have been low on people who were willing to come back, so they just asked that guy to say some stuff for another tattoo. Or maybe they wanted Clean and Anthony but no-one disliked their tattoos

I love Dave, I know some women say he's always bringing up feminine stuff for women but I genuinely do think that's just his respect for women's beauty and feminity and he wants to see more feminity when he can
The difference is its not his body so if the canvas says they don't want a feminine style the artist shouldn't be marked down
I feel bad for Nick. Last time his problem was going outside of what the canvas approved, and it seems like he learned from that lesson, carried it with him to the design process, and then lost because his design followed her wishes too closely.
That second guy...its confusing why he called ANTHONY out. the judges were the ones that chose him, its not his fault he won

Wow. That last canvas was so respectful when it came down to Josh's art and what he does and has legitimate complaints. Josh can't handle criticism at all. Josh missed out on getting to tattoo one of the most easy going redemption canvases i've seen here.

The amped up drama is all part of the show. Doesn't hurt that some of these canvases are eating up every second of their 15 minutes of fame.
I think these redemption episodes are pretty scripted. The canvas just pretends to be mad for the whole storyline so they can get another free tattoo. That dude got two amazing tattoos for free!

I get that he didn’t finish but what is more important in your tattoo artist? Would you rather someone take a bit longer than planned and it be better? That’s what my focus would be personally. I’d understand putting aside timing if you genuinely recognise the talent

Randomly swearing because you are upset vs. calling the guy out his name (which he never did) is two different things. That canvas handled it much better than some. I love both Cleen and Anthony...Cleen is a badass for me. He is just awesome. Anthony is always soft spoken and quite the professional. He always carries himself with such grace and confidence. These two artists know exactly who they are as an artist and does not need to defjne or defend themselves in front of anyone.
