Hello Deome, I noticed my 67 valve body C7AP has a Spring in the actuator valve and your video did not. Should it use a spring with two looking pistons and steel pin?
Hello I've got a question I've got a C4 that I just had completely rebuilt with a shift kit and it will not engage into any gear whatsoever do you think the problem is in the valve body or possibly in the shift kit they installed I have the valve body out of the transmission but don't know what to look for your help would be greatly appreciate
Deome's workshop my 67 galaxie has this valve body c4 trans auto when I put my car in drive it'll take 45 secs to start to engage and move it also falls out of gear it seems would you suggest a rebuild on my valvebody?
Hello ! It's look like a problem of pressure, a stuck valve in the valve body, a clogged oil filter or a defective internal seal in the transmission cause a leakge and a pressure drop. You can try to change the oil filter, but the C4 will probably need a rebuild kit
The best upgrade for your valve body is to replace it by a 67 to 69 valve body, the shift pattern is more interesting to use For a stock tranny and if you use your car more for cruising than drag racing, it is not necessayr to install a shift kit
Deome's Workshop I would like to be able to shift 1 2 Drive manually. plus I understand that the shift kits give you a a quicker shift. Any suggestions?
there's a lot of shift kit on the market but I don't think that a shift kit allow you to shift 1 or 2 gear manually while keeping the automatic shifting of the tranny (on 65-66 models). It's more simple to change the valve body for a 67-69 model If you want a firmly shift, you can remove the puck in the upper valve body If you want the tranny shifts earlier, adjust the vaccum modulator
awesome thank you can please lend me some advice on my 1968 c4 for transmission please the problem is I do not have an automatic up shift in to drive Grand Theft in mendeley from First to second but when i up shift to drive it feels does not go. feels like its in 2nd still. i droped the vavlr body and saw the 2-3 shift vavle was stuck i cleand it and moves free now put the VB back in and went for a drive... same storie... now i pulled the vb back out and pulled out all the vavles and saw some of then were stuck cleand them except de accumulator acumilator vavle its completly stuck but , only the back part what does it do? and what has a effect on the 2_3 shift ps i put in new vacuum modulator new vacuum hose and make sure that the vacuum modulator valve was the correct way in thank you very much
@@ford351cleveland Are you sure your valve body is stock and not modified ? Have you perform an air check of the tranny ? to verify the intermediate piston and High/reverse clutch
+Deome's Workshop i cant say if its been modified but looks as same as the one in the video the air checks i wil do over with only 3,5 bar pressure tranny has been rebuild except the two servo pistons
+Deome's Workshop hi man did thr air check arcording to your video the resluts are that the intermediate servo piston only moves a little bit and the in going hole of the governor i here no thud but the other side it farts

Vidéo très instructive , merci !
Is the 67 valve body the same as a 65? Great videos!
No, the valve body are differents, but you can put a '64, '65-'66 or '67-'69 valve body in a '64-'69 C4 (24 splines)
Deome's Workshop what do you think of shift kits for a 65? And which might you recommend? Thx
